Hello...

So we're pretty much all moved into our new place in Tustin. Oh yeah...I moved. HA HA HA. Yeah, that's what I've been up to for the past week. Just moving into the new townhome in Tustin. The roomies and I were tired of our old place and decided to move on. We're pretty much moved into the new place, all that's left at the old one is junk and trash...and a lot of it. So I guess I know what I'll be doing this weekend.....BLAH!

But you know what? My new room is the exact same size, but it just looks bigger. It's weird. I think it's because I'm throwing away a lot of junk....and I mean a lot of junk. Plus there's so much storage space down in the garage that I can put a lot of stuff down there. It's great! Yeah, getting rid of all that junk is kinda therapeutic. I mean, I was hesitant (and still so) of throwing stuff out but Cat just put her foot down and told me what she thinks I should keep and throw away...and she's right. Why do I need these empty bags? Why do I need these Hawaiian puka shells? Why do I need all these old magazines? Yeah....helped me get rid of a lot of junk. Plus anything worth throwing away I'm putting up on eBay.

The only bad thing about the house is that it's in Tustin...which is like 10 more minutes away from work. So it basically takes me a little over 20 minutes to get home. So? Well, I usually go home for lunch, have time to eat and just chill out for a while....now I drive home, eat, and drive back to work. Kinda stupid huh? So I guess I'm gonna stop driving back home for lunch and actually eat at work or something. I just hate eating at work because for me, lunch break is a chance for me to get the hell out of there. I can always go eat out (hee hee) but that gets expensive. So I dunno...bring my lunch and drive to the Spectrum and eat there? Eat at work and actually socialize with my coworkers? Drive all the way home just to drive all the way back? I dunno...I'll figure something out.

So I'm gonna try this one investment thing that I've been kinda playing around with. Cat's dad has been doing it for a while and keeps talking about it everytime I see him. So I'll just try it out for a little bit and if I do pretty good on it, I'll definitely let you guys know.

I can't wait until tonight. Cat and I are going to Five Crowns to stuff ourselves with prime rib, lobster, a bottle of wine, and dessert....all for just $99!!! Mmmmmmm......

So LOST...pretty alright episode...pretty CRAZY revelation though. So what the hell IS that island and why ARE they there???? Hmmmmm........

Hope everyone is going well and has a great weekend. Such is the life of Joe....

Out of the loop...

Yeah, I'm sooooooo out of the loop on recent goings-on. Crazy. SHUN! UNSHUN!!!

So the VTech shooting yesterday. I didn't find out about it until I went home for lunch. Usually the TV is on when I get ready in the morning but it wasn't on this that morning or else I would've heard about it. None of the radio stations that I was listening to had anything on it on my way to work. And thanks to the restricted websites at work (basically everything except UPS), I don't bother going online anymore. I went home for lunch as I usually do and just put on the TV but it was on the Weather Channel for some reason and so I just went and heated up my food and went on the computer really quick, and I saw it as a huge headline on Yahoo news. That's when I switched to CNN and every other news station had stuff on it. Crazy.

Yeah, so when Cat told me that it was an Asian guy who killed his ex-girlfriend we both joked that he was probably __________ (you can fill in ethnicity). And guess what? We were right.

Do you know what dish is the best thing in the world? Chicken with mushrooms and Orzo pasta. MMMMMMMMMM!!!! DELICIOUS! Cat made me and the roomies dinner on Sunday night and it was soooo delicious. I had it for lunch the next day and I was tempted to look in the fridge for Joes, Karen, or Tommy's baon to steal it because it was that good. Mmmmmm....orzo....sgood.

So last night a couple of friends called me who I haven't talked to in a long time. They called me three-way and I thought about it and wondered why? Sure I miss them and it was nice to hear from them but I wondered...why? Then I realized before they told me that they got Engaged!!!! HOORAY!!!! I swear I didn't know at all until you guys called. They got engaged on Easter and it's been over a week and I haven't heard anything about it...yeah, that's how out of the freaking loop I am. CRAZY! They just related the whole story and I checked out pictures on the internet. CONGRATULATIONS YOU GUYS!!! Don't wanna name names because I'm sure they want to be the first to tell people. But you know who you are and I'm sooooooo happy for you guys! WOO HOO!!!!

Ok, that's my mini-update for now. Gotta start to work out again because I've taken a 2 week break. Can't wait to break in those running shoes that Cat bought me. Such is the life of joe....

Ella...ella...ella...ella...

So Lost....this time I'll attempt to "hide" my spoilers, but I don't think the grey exactly matches, so if you don't wanna know anything just jump down to the next paragraph:
CRAZY!!!! Last night's episode was just "ehhhh" to me, background on Juliette "The Other". Blah blah blah....but at least we know why the Other's took Claire and what they were injecting her with and stuff. But we also know what they implanted something in her. CRAZY! Oh yeah...so the episode was alright....UNTIL the end....that's when it went from BLAH to OH CRAP! HA HA HA! Stupid Jack....you're too trusting.

Do you know what song I absolutely hate???? It's Rihanna's new song, "Umbrella". OMG it's the most annoying song EVER!!!! ...Umbrella...ella...ella...ella.... Yeah, that and the new Enrique Iglesias song...."do you know what it feels like!" just slaps you right in the face.....blah on those songs.

Sanjaya actually did good last American Idol, I forgot to vote for him (because I want him and all his suckyness to win), but he actually sang decently. Beso...beso me mucho...HA HA HA. That's one of my Dad's favorite songs to sing on the Magic Mic.

"Scarred" on MTV....is the most GRUESOME but AWESOME show out there. It's basically stories about how these people seriously hurt themselves and they show videos of them doing it. Videos of people with compound fractures, broken arms and legs just flapping around, feet bent the completely wrong way, people with serious head injuries. ITS SO CRAZY! And people do this when they're doing EXTREME sports (skateboarding, blading, snowboarding, biking, etc.) but the most hilarious ones are the idiots just doing something stupid like making a catapult and hurting themselves. HA HA HA! HILARIOUS! Check it out if you're not grossed out over it. It's an awesome show.

Hooray! Cat bought me some running shoes! She bought them at Roadrunner where I guess she spent a good amount of time just describing my feet and my running style. You see, I have flat feet and tend to over pronate my feet. If you watch me closely then you'll see that I walk like a penguin with my toes kinda pointing outwards. Yeah, so my flat feet and over pronation makes it difficult for me to be on my feet for extended amounts of time, but these shoes will hopefully help me! HOORAY! I can't wait to try them out....probably next week since this week has been a lazy week for me....no working out at all.

Speaking of Penguins, Cat and I watched "Happy Feet" last night. It's a really cute movie. I really liked it, and Cat did too, but not so much. I think I liked it because it was kinda sci-fi-ish...you know? Talk of aliens and this and that. Yeah, but included in the DVD is this list of foods that people should avoid because they are endangered and people are over fishing them and stuff and impacting the enviroment. One of those fish is....Chilean Seabass...MMMMMMM!!!!! The most delicious fish ever! Why's it tastes so good? Because it's endangered! I bet you if you could have bald eagle that it would be the best tasting thing ever, but we'll never know becuase it's against the law to hunt them.

Ok, now I'm just rambling....Such is the life of Joe...

Just Like A Star...
What a great weekend. It was like a little mini-vacation. On Friday I got off early (hee hee) and Cat and I went to Hollywood to check in at the Sheraton Universal. We met up with Danny and Danielle at Bubba Gump in Citywalk and just had some dinner and then we headed off to watch Corrine Bailey Rae and John Legend in concert!!! HOORAY! The concert was awesome! I've never been to the Gibson and I always assumed that it was a HUGE theater (like Staples center type), but i was really pleasantly surprised to see that it was a nice little intimate (well, a lot smaller than I imagined) concert hall.

Corrine Bailey Rae was on stage when we got there and she was awesome. She sounded even better than she sounds on the CD and she's seriously the cutest thing in the world. I have a new crush. Her voice, her songs, playing the guitar, her accent, her little mannerisms, the way she twirls her hair....everything about her is just too cute. John Legend was awesome. I didn't really think his set would be that high energy but everyone was just dancing around and singing along....it was awesome. Corrine Bailey Rae even came out and they sang "Where is the Love" together.....it was a great concert!!!

On Saturday it was a gloomy and cloudy day....booooo...but we made the most of it as we headed to Universal Studios! HOORAY! I haven't been there since 1992. We pretty much just hit all the rides, the Studio Tour (with jaws, earthquake, flood, king kong, etc.) which was cool. Since it was Easter weekend, there really wasn't any stars or anyone working on the set. We did see Wisteria Lane from Desperate Housewives and also this awesome set from "War of the Worlds" where it looks like a 747 crashed on a neighborhood. It was awesome. Shrek 4D was cool and funny. The Mummy ride was awesome but so short. Juust when I thought that it was about to really begin...it ended. BOOOOO!!! We didn't go to Jurassic Park because it was cold out and we didn't wanna get wet.

For dinner we went to Saddleranch. I've never been there or any of their other locations. Mmmmmm..delcious. Cat had the fried chicken which was delicious and I had their huge prime rib which I couldn't even finish. mmmmmmm....delicious.

We had breakfast at the hotel both mornings and the first morning our server was this Filipina lady. She was a great waitress and would attend to everything we needed and got things for us before we even asked. I always joke to Cat when there are Filipinos around by saying "mmm...sarap" just because it's one of the only words I know, but we're both embarrassed to say anything because we don't speak it. But when she handed us our check I busted out the "salamat" and once I said that the waitress was so happy, she said "i've been waiting for that all morning" and started to talk to us. She even told us to come back the next morning which we did. Good times.

Sunday we went to Palos Verdes to first go to mass. I always go to the 12:30 mass because it's usually the only one I can catch and it's the youth mass, which means a lot of singing and modern renditions of songs. It's so funny because when they sing the "Glory To God" they clap with it...ha ha ha. It's a good mass though and it keeps you awake. My cousin was even in the choir. After mass we headed to Tita Trixie's for some delicious food. Mmmmmm...delicious. My little 8 month year old nephew Alex was there and he's the cutest thing ever. I swear I've never seen this kid cry. Anyone can hold him and play with him and he'll laugh and smile. Soooooo cute. Basically we just ate, did an Easter egg hunt, played with Alex, and just chilled. Good times good times.

So now that Easter is here I can drink Diet Coke...which I did, but ehhhh...whatever. I used to be addicted to it, but I can live without it now. I can go on my online jeans forum now, which I did and spent maybe 30 minutes on just glancing over some new posts and replying back to some messages. I'm gonna definitely be on that more to try and sell some jeans, but other than that, I think it's a good idea that I stay away from it a little bit more so I can pay myself back for the money I took out from my savings to pay my taxes. And I can now go shopping! But now that I've had that hiatus on jeans that's taken a backseat to my new (but old) obsession...COMICS! I'm on eBay every day now looking for comics....before it was for jeans....now it's for comics! HELP ME!!!

Ok, well, I hope you all had a great Easter weekend and hope everyone has a great work week. Such is the life of Joe...

This website is blocked by SonicWall...
So it's official, they've block out basically ALL the websites at work. Except for stuff we need like UPS, Google search, FedEx, our website, ect. Oh well, good thing that blogger has this blog by email thing. At least I can keep this thing updated.

So I voted for Sanjaya about 7 times yesterday. It is free to vote, right? I hope it isn't like $1 per call or else I'll be mad. But I really really really want him to win. Yes, if he wins it'll be the end of American Idol, but I'd think it would be hilarious!!! Remember when that redheaded guy a couple years back was on? John Stewart or something like that...I really wanted him to win also, but it didn't happen. But I think that Sanjaya might have a better chance at winning because he's getting all this publicity and news coverage. Do I think it'll happen? No, American Idol if Sanjaya advances to like the top 5 I think the producers will say that he got the least votes when actually he didn't.

So the Search for the New Doll...I know you guys watch it and love it. I know I do. My underdog favorite was Sisely, but she got kicked off. Now my underdog favorite is Chelsea (a.k.a. "the fat one"), she's the best singer, but worst dancer. I think that Melissa R. is gonna win it though. The one girl on there that I HATE HATE HATE is Asia. I can't stand how she sings. I can't watch her sing because it's so annoying. From day one when I first watched the show I hated her "finger tremble on the mic"...you know, she moves her finger up and down on the mic when she sings, it's soooooooo freaking annoying and she was called out on it yesterday. HA HA HA! Hilarious!

Dancing With The Stars, I must admit I watch it sometimes. I know everyone in the beginning made fun of the Heather Mills dancing, and I know I did because I can't stand her. Trying to get all this money from Paul McCartney, that's just wrong. But I watched her dance the "jive" and WOW are you sure she only has one leg? I mean, she was jumping all over the place and doing her thing. It was great, but I'm still not voting for her and I still don't want her to win.

Ok, the end. Such is the life of Joe....

Like your ass had the hiccups....

You know what song I'm embarrassed to say that I actually like? It's Akon's "Don't Matter". I HATE all of Akon's previous songs and I just HATE his voice, but "Don't Matter" is such a catchy song that I love it! It's the perfect spring/summer song. And it doesn't help that it gets stuck in your head so easily...."nobody wanna see us together, but that don't matter, no...". HA! Now it's in your head! GOTCHA!!!

The Timbaland album "Shock Value" is pretty good. My favorite songs are "Fantasy", "Scream" (with Nicole Scherzinger), and "Miscommunication" but the whole album is good (I also like "Bounce" w/ JT, Missy, and Dr. Dre..."bounce, like your ass had the hiccups, bounce, like you were riding in my pickup" HA HA HA!!!). Yeah, I've been listening to it constantly at work on my IPOD since there is no radio reception and I'm afraid to stream music on the computer b/c they're cracking down on internet usage here.

So work is now starting to block a lot of websites like myspace, gmail, hotmail, etc. That sucks! What am i gonna do now at work? Work? HA! That's funny. Hopefully they don't block this so I can at least blog a little bit. Hello guys at work, you're probably reading this. Please don't block my blogging, please!!!

So I just watched the season finale of "Battlestar Galactica" and it was CRAZY!!! Are you serious? Are those 4 of the final 5 models that we haven't seen? Or is it just something else different. That episode was crazy but like Tommy said, it doesn't come back until 2008!!! Are you serious? That's too long to leave us hanging like that. Now I just need to catch up on my other DVR'd shows like "Veronica Mars" and "Rome".

So I can't wait for this weekend. It's Easter weekend, but also on Friday Cat arranged a little Hollywood trip for my anniversary present. She bought us tickets to the John Legend / Corrine Bailey Ray concert at Gibson on Friday, which is gonna be AWESOME! (who else is going? lemme know). She booked a room at the Sheraton Universal so we won't have to drive all the way back to the OC after the concert. And then on Saturday she got tickets to Universal Studios!!! HOOOORAY!!! I haven't been there since 1992, that is over 15 years ago! How crazy is that?!?! i think the last big "ride" that opened up that I went on was "the earthquake/flood" one. HA HA HA! I can't wait!!!! Then on Easter we'll be up with my Tita's in Palos Verdes. HOORAY! Thanks babe. I can't wait for this wonderful weekend!

Ok, until next time. Such is the life of Joe....

Spoiler!!!!

Sorry guys. I usually grey out all my spoilers, but it's been a while and I totally forgot and spoiled last week's episode of LOST. So from now on I'll try to remember to grey out my Lost synopses.

So I sold about 10% of my comic collection. I sold over 100 comics to mycomicshop.com and got about $170.00 credit for them. CREDIT?!? Yeah, I got credit for the store instead of cash because if I got cash, I would've only got $85.00 for it. So I figured that I would just get credit and buy some key issues that I've been wanting to add to my collection. Yeah, all the 100+ comics that I sold were just "normal" comics, nothing special, no key issues. Now I have some credit to buy some first appearances and other key issues. I'm trying to condense my collection to something more managable. So all you collector's out there who wanna get rid of some of your collection, try checking out that place.

So this weekend was fun. We watched "Blades of Glory" which was hilarious. Another Will Ferrell classic. If you're a Will Ferrell fan, then you'll love it. Sure, it isn't as funny as "Anchorman" and not quite as funny as "Talladega Nights" but it's still funny. I gotta watch it one more time to remember all the hilarious quotes in it.

Also headed over to Cerritos where Theda moved in to her new place. I haven't seen Theda in the longest time, maybe since October or November, so it was good to see her. We were treated to delicious Filipino food and just chilled with friends around the Magic Mic and Guitar Hero II....wow, we're old. Good times though. And if you want to get a magic mic party started...always start with "Summer Nights" from the Grease soundtrack...it's a crowd pleaser.

So Easter is almost here, which means I can start shopping again, drinking soda, and checking out my jeans forum. But you know what? I think the no shopping thing has really helped me. I owe so much money this month to pay off rent, credit cards, and the freaking IRS that it isn't even funny. But not shopping for the past 40 or so days has helped me save some money. Maybe I'll extend the "no shopping for myself" thing for a while to save some money.

OH yeah, so I guess I owe so much to the IRS because of my stupid investments and earning interest on my savings...so moral of the story is: DO NOT get investments and spend all your money so you don't accumulate any interest. That way, you won't have to pay taxes and you might even get some back! That's the lesson for today!!!

Have a great work week everyone. Go Florida! Such is the life of Joe...
