Paolo Lies...
LOST is back! YES! Everyone knows that this third season has been their worst season and the shows all suck and reveal nothing...but the last 3 or so shows have been GREAT! They've been advancing the story line and have just been really entertaining. Now you know that Claire is Jack's half-sister (which we suspected all along), you see how Locke became paralyzed, Locke's dad is now on the island, Locke blew up the submarine that Jack was going home on...

And last night's episode was AWESOME. I mean, it did NOTHING to advance the storyline, which sucked, but as a story all to itself, it was still good. It was background on Nikki and Paolo the 2 "new" survivors introduced during season 3. It was cool seeing their experiences when the plane first crashed since we never really seen them in the first 2 seasons (it was hillarious when Hurley said "Dude, Nikki's dead"...and Sawyer responds "who's Nikki"? HA HA HA! Last night's episode was awesome...they weren't really dead, they were just paralyzed, but they burried them anyways!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH!!! The end was great, the reveal that they are only paralyzed and the music that was playing when they were burrying them was just so creepy. YES! LOST IS BACK!!!!

So last weekend in San Diego was awesome. Stayed down in Pacific Beach at Tower 23 which is right on the beach. All the rooms have a view of the beach and ours overlooked the sundeck which was awesome. It was a really great package deal that we got...we got free breakfast in our room each morning (we could order whatever we wanted), free dinner at thier JRDN restaurant (we could order whatever we wanted again...our bill was $250, but could've easily been $300...but it was included in our package!), and a couples massage in our room. It was awesome! Saturday was such a great sunny day too that we ventured on the beach and just laid out and read. I got totally sunburnt. There were so many freaking people on that beach though....Spring Break was totally going on. A great weekend just spent relaxing on the beach...I loved it.

I heard the new Brand New song "Jesus" or something like that on KROQ. Awesome song and I can't wait until their new album. I remember their last album, "Deja Entendu" was one of my favorites back in 2003 or so. Also I can't wait for the new Tim Armstrong solo album. He's been one of my favorite singers since I bought my first Rancid album back in 1995 or so (and promptly bought his previous band Operation Ivy's album). Operation Ivy --> Rancid --> Transplants --> Solo album....anything this guy does is great. Seeing Rancid during Warped Tour 2002 was one of my highlights of that concert (the other seeing AFI onstage).

Ok, that's it for now. Talk to you later. Such is the life of Joe...

TAX MAAAAAAN!!!!!
(said like Maggie Gylenhall in "Stranger Than Fiction")

So I just had my taxes done yesterday.  Yeah, I tried doing them myself but it's seriously confusing when you get into the 1099-DIV forms.  But yeah, remember last year when I paid up the butt in taxes.  I thought it was just because I was claiming "2" and so I changed it to claiming "0" on my W2...and I thought I might get some money back this year or at least have to pay just a little bit since I made the change....YEAH RIGHT!!!!  I owe MORE than I did last year.  BOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!  I hate taxes...I really really do.  The Month of April is gonna suck for me when I pay off my credit cards and pay my taxes.  BLAH!  Hopefully the tax man did something wrong....I gotta see how much my brother owes since we basically have the same stuff and if he is paying way less then something has to be wrong, right?

On the news there's been all these reports on all these people losing their houses because they can't afford the mortgage and all these banks are foreclosing on them.  The news makes it look like it's the Mortgage Dealers fault....ummmm, no, it's the people's fault.  They bought houses when they couldn't afford them and now they can't pay their mortgage and they're losing their houses...that's how it works.  I don't see how it's the Mortgage Dealers fault for providing sub-prime loans.  If you can't afford it don't buy it....  I understand that back in the "boom" people thought that they needed to buy a house now or else in the future it would be too expensive.  True....but if you can't afford it....  At least all these houses that are being foreclosed means that hopefully housing costs will go down and I can maybe buy some property in a couple years so I can get a freaking tax break.  Gimmie a frikking break.

Anyways...weekend is almost here, but it's here early for me.  Cat and I are heading down to San Diego to celebrate our anniversary down there.  It's a couple weeks late, but we were busy during our real anniversary and decided to make it later so that there'd be a better chance of it being warm.  It's supposed to be upper 70's down there, so I guess we'll take it.  If we went during our real anniversary we would've enjoyed temperatures in the 90's a couple weeks ago.  We're staying Pacific Beach at Tower 23, so hopefully it'll be nice and sunny down there.

Have fun everyone.  Have fun and enjoy the snow for all yous going to Mammoth.  Such is the life of Joe...

I Hate Locke...
LOST...yeah, I still watch that show. This past season has pretty much sucked. It goes absolutely nowhere and advances the story none whatsoever. Let me just say, Locke is the stupidest person on that island. First he refuses to enter the numbers and causes the hatch to explode (or implode) and now last night's episode....are you serious?!?!? How stupid can you be?!?!? Why would you do that? Man....kill him now.

So I just heard on the radio that Captain America was assassinated in Wednesday's issue. WHAT!?!?! I've been keeping up with the current "Civil War" storyline which he played a major role in and I didn't see that coming at all. CRAZY! I just checked on eBay and issues are going for $50.00+ each! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Hopefully I can find one copy when I go look during lunch today. AHHHHHH!!! Crazy!

Ok, that's it....Such is the life of Joe...
