I <3 eBay

Yeah buddy! I actually made a little bit more than that selling some of my jeans. I also sold someone a pair for $115 and they paid cash and picked it up. So yes'm, $600 or so (after paypal and eBay fees) isn't too bad for selling 6 pairs of jeans. Gotta love the eBay.

I hate spiders. I'm deathly afraid of spiders, I can't stand them at all. And all over there's spider webs and huge ass spiders EVERYWHERE! I've run into a couple webs and screamed like a little girl. What's more scary is when there's a spider attached to that web (which happened once). And these aren't small spiders, these are the HUGE spiders that CRUNCH when you step on them. YUCK! Yeah, so I'm so paranoid that I walk in front of me cautiously looking for spider webs and waving my hands in front of me so I knock them down.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAREN (27th), HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOMMY (29th), HAPPY BIRTHDAY RITA (30th) HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHIEMI (31st)!!!! Wow, last week of July is always busy for birthdays.

Hope you had a great birthday, Tommy, even though you were busy at USC up all day in class and up all night busy with your class project. Pweh pweh, Tommy was teepy watching Entourage. How can you be sleepy when watching Entourage???

Ok, that is all for tonight. Start of another work week...boooooo, but hopefully it'll go fast. Such is the life of Joe...

Slow Down John...
Those were the words that a Aliso Viejo cop told me as he handed me back my license, registration and proof of insurance. Yeah, I got pulled over going to Cat's place. I knew as I sped through the intersection and saw the cop that he was gonna pull me over. And he did just as I was literally 100 feet away from Cat's place. Funny thing is that later Cat told me she saw the cop pulling someone over and she had a feeling it was me. Well, long story short...didn't get a ticket. Just a "slow down john". Why? I dunno, but I've only been pulled over twice and both times I've been let off with a warning (knock on wood). Yeah, I'm one of those wussies that hasn't got a driving ticket at all.....yet.

Weekend was great. Nothing too exciting but that was good because it was SO DAMN HOT OUTSIDE!!! Saturday went to a Dodger game complements of Mr. Jay Bermudez...well, actually complements of Alpine. It was good times even thought it was so freaking hot outside. We were treated to all you can eat Dodger Dogs before the game! DELICIOUS! We were so full before we went into the stadium....which we almost didn't get to do because Jay left all the tickets on the table we were sitting at. Good thing someone picked them up for us. Dodgers lost, but we got to see Pujols hit a homerun, that was my highlight. It was good kicking it too, especially after the game just talking and roaming around LA chasing these hoax billboards around.

Yeah, that's it pretty much. It's been too hot to do anything. The end....Such is the life of Joe...

I Love the 90's

Yeah, I seriously do love the 90's.  One of the best decades in music.  I mean, you got Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine, Beastie Boys, Pixies, Depeche Mode put out Violator, Green Day, Rancid and the whole punk revival.  So great.  Ohhhhhhhh....wait, that was MY 90's.  Not everyone elses.  When I mention the music in the 90's everyone just goes on and on about the old school rap and r&b that was out back in the day:  Mary J. Blige, SWV, Biggie, 2Pac, Black Sheep, A Tribe Called Quest, Bel Biv Devoe, Another Bad Creation, etc....

Why do I bring this up?  Well, I went to a 90's themed party for Mr. Joe De Los Reyes (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!) and it was funny watching people dress up in their baggy pants, try to find old Cross Colors t-shirts, wear their gangsta wear, etc.  Yeah, but I didn't really have anything 90's.  I just wore my clothes backwards.  I did wear a t-shirt from a Rage Against the Machine concert I went to in 1996, that's 90's, right?  Yeah, my 90's was a little different than other people's 90's.  I wore my baggy pants, flannel shirts, skate t-shirts, and skate shoes while riding around on my skateboard with the tiniest wheels you can get.  So it wasn't any suprise when as DJ Joe Rogan (as TJ called Joe) was spinning the music, I would have to ask "what song is this?" every 2 or 3 songs.  HA HA HA.  Yeah, I really wasn't into that music and didn't get a real appreciation for that music until I was in college.

It was a great weekend though.  I got to see my LA Friends again which I haven't done in toooooooo long.  Yeah, I know I've been MIA, sorry guys, but it was so good seeing everyone again.

It's really a small world when you come to think of it...  I was out at this bar called Aire to celebrate Efren's birthday and I didn't think I'd know that many people (since I don't know Efren very well), but I was surprised to see Chris Le and Zandro there.  Good times there.  I was also talking to David and was surprised to find out how many people that he knew back in Sierra and Mesa Court back in the day that I know now.  What a small world!!!

Happy Belated birthdays go out to Jovan and Fernand too, sorry I couldn't make it to your celebrations (both of which were on Thursday), this old man gets tired during the work day.  Hope you had great birthdays though.

Well, it's back to work now after a great weekend.  Booooooooooo!!!  At least I figured out how to blog via email and so hopefully you'll see more posts from me.  Hope you all have a great week.  Such is the life of Joe...

Home Sweet Home
Wow, it's been a while since I last posted. Part of that is because I've been away in the Virgin Islands for a week, the other part is because I've been too busy and haven't really had time to blog, but then again, I haven't really had anything to blog about.

Virgin Islands was AWESOME! Before the trip I was a little worried that it was gonna be cloudy and raining all week I was there because it's already Hurricane season down there and I've been checking forecasts and it said it'd be cloudy/rainy...but they were wrong. It was so sunny and hot and beautiful out there. Sure there were some clouds in the sky, but it was never overcast and it only rained twice for like 10 minutes at a time.

Well, I really can't say that much about the VI because I don't think I'd do it justice, plus I'm lazy right now. Maybe next post I'll go into detail, but for now, I'll leave you with pictures:

It's password protected but it's the same password as before. All my good friends and my family should know it, if you don't know it just shoot me an email, text, IM, comment, etc. and I'll give you the password.

Hope everyone has a great week. Talk to you later. Such is the life of Joe...
