THE hotel
Yeah, it's been a while since I blogged, but I've been so freaking busy. Let's see, what have I done since we last talked.

Last weekend, went to Las Vegas with Cat to celebrate her cousin's 21st. Stayed at THE Hotel which was REALLY nice. We had a suite with a huge 42 inch plasma screen in the main room a regular TV in the bedroom, and a LCD TV in the bathroom, which was great because I could watch World Cup Soccer while taking a shower (and I did).

This Vegas trip was more relaxing and chill than my past Vegas trips, and that's a good thing. I didn't lose as much money!!! Basically just went out to Tao in the Venetian the first night with Cat's girls and cousins and ordered table service. Good times. Tao is really nice but so freaking crowded in the main room, it's a good thing that we got a table.

Saturday was spent just roaming around a couple casinos and then spending the rest of the day with Cat's familia (her uncles and aunts were there along with her parents who live in Vegas). It was good times. Later that night we headed up to miX atop THE hotel. Pretty nice place, too bad the DJ sucked, but the view was really nice:

Oh yeah, and the bathrooms were great. The was a window in front of the urinals to give you a view outside. Plus the stalls are like rooms, and one of the walls is plain glass so you can overlook the view. The cool thing is that the toilet faces the view so you get to see the Vegas skyline as you're taking a dump...too bad it wasn't a view of the strip.

Sunday I got to experience the Mandalay Bay pool!!! Since we stayed at THE hotel we got to use the Mandalay Pool. Really nice there and we thought since it was a Sunday it wouldn't be as crowded adn we could easily get a chair....wrong, it wasn't as crowded, but we still had trouble finding a chair, it was really nice there though.

Well, after being treated to the Aladdin brunch buffet by Cat's parents we just roamed around shopping a little bit and eventually headed back to OC later that night with a stopover at the Primm Outlets. Good times.

Monday I got to try out my photography skill (which I have none) to help out Cat take pictures of one of her programs at the St. Regis. WOW is all I can say about the St. Regis and also on all the decorations and stuff. It was HOT AS HELL out there and I had to dress up in slacks and a dress shirt, plus roam around and take pictures of stuff. It was nice seeing what Cat does though. And it was actually fun taking pictures. Thanks Joesan for letting me borrow your camera, I still need to learn how to use it, but I think I got the hang of the basics. Good thing that Mr. Almero took over for me the remaining 3 days.

Yeah, so I'm still pretty tired from the Vegas weekend. I'm glad that I have this weekend to chill and relax and recuperate since we're going to the Virgin Islands next weekend!!! WOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!! Pray for us that there won't be too much rain there. Ok, that's my update...probably not gonna update until we get back from the VI. Such is the life of Joe...

Can you hear me now?
Well, apparently you can't. Why? Because my cell phone SUCKS and is dead. I think it's just the battery. So I can either buy a new phone, buy a new battery, or go on without a phone and see how I do. Well, I was planning on buying a new phone anyways..but the phone I want isn't out in yet. And buying a new battery is kinda a waste if I'm gonna get a new phone within the year. BLAH! So does anyone have a tmobile phone or even a cingular phone that accepts SIM cards that I can borrow for the time being? BLAH!

Great weekend and tiring one too. Started out on Friday at the FUNDUE party at Cici and Belle's. Good times seeing a lot of faces that I haven't seen in a while. So much fun watching and playing Bomberman, Twister, stuffing our faces with fondue, and just hangign out with old friends. Thanks guys for a great night!

Saturday went out to Ocean's in Laguna beach with Cat and her girls. Good times there especially watching the drunk girls and their escapades. Afterwards, went and stuffed our faces with Alberto's, it was sooo good. Thanks Boj & Sol!

Sunday watched the Angels lose to the Mariners. It was a great day for a baseball game. Even though we were in the sun, it wasn't too hot with a nice breeze. It was good times. Afterwards, just chilled and took naps and then watched the Heat suck ass. Then watched the season premiere of Entourage!

So yeah, I didn't go into work today until 11am. Why? No, I wasn't sick. No, I didn't not wake up in time. I just wanted to watch the US play Czechoslovakia in the World Cup. I should've just went to work on time though...U.S. sucked balls...they lost 3-0, they were never in the game and they just sucked. Booooooo.... Hopefully we'll do better against Italy. HA! Keep your fingers crossed.

Well, seeing as it's 12pm and I haven't even done a thing at work today except blog...I should get to working. Hope you all had a great weekend and that you ahve a great week this week. Another exciting weeekend is looming...can you say VEGAS?! WOOOOO!! Such is the life of Joe...

Gooooooooooooool!!!!
Wow, it's been a while. Stupid blogger is always down when I wanted to post. Anyways, what have I been up to? Nothing really, just work and work and work. Last weekend though, was fun.

Last weekend Cat and I went to visit each other's home towns. The reason for this was because Cat's cousin was graduating High School and he lives up in Tracy which is Cat's hometown. So instead of making a 6 hour drive all the way up there on a Friday night, we decided to make it a 3 hour drive to Tulare so I could show her around my hometown.

At first it looked like we were gonna go straight up to Tracy though, because I forgot my house keys in Irvine and my Dad is in the Philippines right now. Luckily my aunt had Dad's keys and we were able to get in the house. All we really did in Tulare was go and eat at Sonic (which is really good by the way) and just chilled and slept. The next day I did drive her past my old High School before heading to Tracy.

Tracy (Cat's hometown) is pretty nice. It's simliar to Tulare, but it's a lot better becuase it's only 1 hour from the bay. We just chilled at her Aunt's house and then headed off to her old high school for her cousin's graduation. Yeah, it was like 3pm and it was probably 95 degrees out there...freaking hot. But it was really fun. Cat's aunts, uncles, and cousins all came out and made signs, had air horns, and were just yelling and making noise everytime her cousins name was called. There was no doubt that we were the loudest group there...it was so fun!

Then back to her Aunt's house for food, food, and more food. It was great. I really had a great time there. There was SOOOOOO many people there. Her whole family is great because they welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like home. Such an awesome family. But her aunts were joking with me telling me that they were always nice at the first meeting, to let my guard down...so when I see them all next weekend (in Vegas) that's when they're gonna interrogate me and ask me questions. AHHHHH!!!

Ok, that's the recap of my weekend...5 days later. HA HA HA! And now it's the end of another week. Looks to be a busy week. Fundue, dinner and Laguna, and then Angel's game all this wekend. Wow....I know I'm gonna be tired.

Oh yeah, WORLD CUP STARTED TODAY!!! HOOOOOOORAY!!! First game is Germany vs. Costa Rica. I want Costa Rica to win just becuase I've been there...but Germany is a tough team. Man...should've went to Germany for vacation right now...i betcha it's crazy over there. What sucks about this World Cup is the time difference. Games are on when I'm at work. At least when the World Cup was in Japan/So. Korea 4 years ago the time difference made the games come on like at 2am here...which I was perfectly willing to stay up to watch. Oh well, I guess that's what TIVO is for.

Well, I hope everyone has a great weekend. Such is the life of Joe...

JAC
First of all CONGRATULATIONS to CICI and JAY on their engagement! I got the call on Saturday morning and you know what? I really wasn't that surprised at all. I mean, yes, I was surprised, but as I thought about it..it's Cici and Jay it just seems natural that they'd be engaged. I'm so happy for the two of you. Made me think back to that eventful night in Vegas when JAC Crew formed and you both made the leap from aquaintances to friends with me at the same time! Good times...and now you're engaged. So happy for you guys. Congratulations again!!! I guess that JAC can stand for the "Jay And Cici" now.

Amazing how many engagements have occured in the past year amongst friends. Yeah, it means we're all getting old. But it's pretty cool seeing how much all of my recently engaged friend have grown together. I remember back at the start of some of their relationships when I'd think, "hmmmmm....i think they like each other".

Yeah, it's only natural when you hear of an engagement of a friend that you start to think who's gonna go next? So who IS gonna go next??? Such is the life of Joe...
