Such is the life of Joe...
My back, my neck and my back...WOO HOO!!! Halloween weekend!!! MAN! Time for all the parties and dressing up and drinking! WOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO!!!! How did I spend mine? By helping Cici move into her new apartment. WOOOOOOO PARTAYYYYYY!!!! Yeah, Saturday was spent helping Cici move from her apartment in the Palms area of LA to San Gabriel. When I first got up there to her apartment, I saw all the things in her living room that she had already packed and it was SOOO MUCH STUFF!!! I remember helping her move from her old apartment to the apartment she just moved out of (was that 2 years ago?) and she didn't have half this stuff. MAN! You've got a lot of junk in your trunk, Cici...HA! But it was a pretty easy move since there was a bunch of us helping move. Jos and London stopped by and I can't believe how big London is now...and I love how little kids won't let anything slide by. I accidentally called London, "Jos", and she just called me out on it. Ahhhh...the innoscence of being a kid. You have to love it and miss it.
Cici and Belle's new place seemed so freaking quiet when we were moving...except for the BLARING elevator alarm that went off when Cici pulled the STOP button, or the BLARING horn of the train nearby. HA HA HA! I wonder how loud it's gonna be for the Thanksgiving celebration with all of us in there? It shouldn't be too bad, right?
See, I didn't need no big Halloween party or anything to have a fun time. All i needed was the company of my friends, and that's what I had on Saturday: singing along to various Weezer songs while moving; joking around while moving and laughing at all the mishaps (dropped beds, elevator alarms, dropping shoes and "accidentally" kicking them all over, etc.; going out to eat and being scared I'm gonna get my ass kicked because of the things that Ryan had in his head (you know you wanted to say something); someone and her racist jokes; and probably my favorite was just sitting around some candles (because the apartment didn't have any electricity) and just talking....ahhhh, good times...better than any Halloween party or anything. It kinda felt like a sleepover back in junior high, it was the best part of the night.
I hope I didn't scare you guys too much...I know I scared myself. No electricity and I had to take a piss, so I took a candle in there, but just as I unbuckled I could see the mirrors out of the corner of my eye and all I could think of was "bloody mary" or that someone was gonna be in the reflection or something and I just walked out and needed both the flashlight for more light and someone to stand by the door and talk to me so I wouldn't be so scared.
So while we're just chilling at the apartment I tried to stretch out my back because it's sore from all the moving. I can feel a knot in my lower back (either that or it's just sore). Even all the stretching I did and even Cici walking on my back didn't releive the soreness. The next morning it was pretty bad, but it's getting better now. No worries...all in good fun.
The start of another work week. Gotta love it! Hope you all have a great week! Such is the life of Joe...
Pron Convention?HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOESAN!!!. No comments about you being old or antying like that because I'll be there soon, but it does feel good to NOT be the oldest person in the house! YIPPIE!!! Happy birthday, man!!! And for all your enjoyment: The Hardest Riddle On The Net. It's not really a riddle, inasmuch as it's just searching for clues and stuff. Stuck on level 6, but I've only been at it for an hour, so not that bad...I'm almost there though...I have one part, I just don't know the other...
Ok, hope you all have a great weekend. It's FRIDAY! YIPPIE!!!! Such is the life of Joe...

That's my answers. Hope it entertained you enough. You can go back to work now. Such is the life of Joe...
I WANTS THEM!!!So you know that I refuse to buy Nike shoes, but I'm up to buying any other brand. My current obsession are my new Vans Slip-Ons that I have (black, checkerboard black, checkerboard brown) and I want these Slip-On Brown Varvatos Chucks that I saw at Nordstrom. But now there's these shoes that I'm DYING FOR! For all you NIke-heads out there, I'm sure the name Supreme rings a bell. Well, check out these Supreme Old School Vans:

How awesome are those WHITE ones?! I WANTS THEM! I NEEDS THEM! (man, now I know how Randy feels about his Nike Tiffany's) I've been looking around on the web and stuff for them and on eBay the Black ones have been going for around $120! YIKES! The brown ones are $145 from Vintagekicks.com YIKES! So I'm thinking that the white ones are at least $120 or more (since I think they're the best looking ones). So keep your eyes out for those White Supreme Old School Vans in a size 10. Call me if you come across them because I NEEDS THEM! I WANTS THEM! Man, I really want them....can anyone give me any leads? Randy, you know any stores that sell Supreme shoes? I know there's a store in Long Beach, right? Yeah, now I know how it feels, but this is the only pair that I'm fiending for and they're not Nike's.
If I do buy those and the other Chucks that I want, that'll be 4 new pairs of shoes (3 vans, 1 converse) in 2 weeks. WOW! Gotta cut down on the shopping after that...but then again, I do have extra money since my rent dropped...hmmmmm.....Such is the life of Joe...
Freaking OregonI really love the weekends. I really do. Why? Because it's the time when I get to see my friends, and my friends are the best people in the world. Friday was Theda's birthday celebration at Mai Tai in Long Beach. I've never been there on a weekend and we got there early (9:30ish) and it was packed. I mean, it's not a big place at all, but it was just packed there...and it only got more crowded as time went on. Kicking it with Danielle and catching up with that girl was great. You gotta love seeing drunk Bee, that's always entertaining. All over your face is hilarious. Someone needs to calm down when they're drinking. Oh yeah...would you guys sniff a waitress' armpit for $100??? You know how all the waitresses there have thier trays in their hand with their arms up? Well, Ryan told me to sniff one of their armpits for $100...and the thing is...I KNOW with Ryan, he'll pay up if I did it. Did I do it? No sir, even though I had a great opportunity to.
So the VERY first thing that Theda says to me when I see her is reference to IHOP. Something like, 'Let's go to IHOP now' or 'I'm glad you made it here instead of IHOP'. Not only does Theda bring that up the first time she saw me and every subsequent time she talked to me, but Thaomy, Tommy, and Jevon would make fun of me too. Dude, that's old news....it's been 3 years since that happened...since I left Theda's birthday dinner to go to IHOP with my friends because the wait was so long to get seated. I think it's funny...but why single me out? I wasn't the only person to go to IHOP... And I know that Theda didn't remember it on her own...it had to be freaking either Jevon or Tommy that brought that up. It didn't help that they decided to leave early (11:30) to go to Roscoe's and Theda gave me a hard time about leaving...leaving her birthday to go get food...
But Roscoes was a good change of scenery. I could actually talk to people without yelling. And I could get some food too! Too bad I didnt' finsh anything I ordered. Scoe's special and i only ate the waffles. I guess I was tired, or had too much alcohol in me (thanks Christian, Jay, and Ryan for the drinks....). And thanks Cici for getting my shoes for me! Yippie!!!
Chilled in LA to first attend lunch for Tin Tin's birthday, then went to chill at Gwen and Pat's place for the rest of the night. Watched "Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants" (shut up, I'll admit I watched that movie). It's so funny because during one sad part of the movie Fantone goes "dammit, I hate this movie" because she was crying...no one would've noticed if she hadn't said anything. Yeah, I do admit it was a sad part and yes, like Fantone said later, if a movie deals with a certain subject it'll get to her...same thing for me...if a movie deals with a certain subject then it'll get to me and that stupid "Sisterhood..." had that stupid subject.
I don't know what it was, but I felt so freaking lazy and out of it after National's. After watching the Shockers softball game, some of us headed to National's to eat. It was the first food that I had in my stomach, yet I still had 2 beers. I think that's what killed me because I felt so dehydrated afterwards in church and even at dinner with Reggie and Theda...I couldn't even finish the soup and salad I ordered.
And of course by the title, you can guess which college football team messed up my bets this week. Yup...it was Oregon, they only won by 7 points...I needed them to win by 11 then I would've cashed in on a nice parlay I had going. There's always this coming weekend!!!
So to the start of a new work week! CHEERS! Looks to be a busy weekend (kinda) I think I'm playing moving man...unless you don't want me. Such is the life of Joe...
Nearsighted or Farsighted? So I have to renew my driver's license this year. I got the renewal thing in the mail today but I can't just mail it in! I actually have to go down to the DMV and get a new picture and thumb print. New thumb print? Ummmm.....isn't it gonna be the same thing? New picture I can understand, the picture on my license was when I was 16. I also need to change some other information on that thing like my weight (I'm 20 pounds heavier now). BUT the one thing that scares me is that I have to take an eye exam!!! OHHHHHHHH NO!!!! I know I'm not gonna pass that stupid thing. My eyesight isn't bad, but it's not the greatest. I know I need glasses, but I don't have them. It's just my Left eye that's bad. If they tell me to close my right eye, then I'm jacked. I hope it isn't too bad though. So I got all worried that I'm gonna need to go to the optometrist and get checked and finally get glasses, but the thing is, vision isn't covered by work...
That's what I thought until I got back from lunch today and was talking to the person who handles all the insurance stuff and noticed a stack of vision care information on her desk. She said that starting on Friday we're getting vision covered!!! YAHOO!!! So freaking crazy that I get vision when I KNOW I'm gonna need my vision checked becacuse of that stupid driver's license renewal. I can see fine when things are near me....you don't need to see things far away when you're driving...ummmmmm...yeah.
Ok, Thursday today...one day to the weekend. Hmmm....should I call in sick on Friday OR Monday? Hmmmmm....probably gonna do neither. Such is the life of Joe...
Another Warehouse SaleOk, coming from the guy who told you about the Men's Denim Sale (this past Saturday) and the upcoming denim sample sale in Costa Mesa this Sunday the 23rd, I gotta tell you guys about another warehouse sale, since it's a friend's sister's company. You all know Rita, her sister has a clothing company named Trigelle that speciallizes in Women's Golf Apparel. They are having their end of the year warehouse sale on Nov. 5th and Nov. 12th, here's more information from an email from Rita:
If you are in the Brea/Orange County Area Nov 5th or Nov. 12th - my sister's clothing line is having a warehouse sale. Good for Xmas Gifts, Birthday gifts, etc.
Ton's of items for $5, $10, and $20-$30!
I'm heading there Nov. 5th weekend.
Please forward this to anyone that you think would be interested. Although these clothes were made for Golf wear... you can wear them almost anywhere. esp. work!
Fall Collection Spring Collection I know we all know women who golf, be it yourself, your moms, aunts, girlfriends, etc. And if you check out their clothing you really can use it just as casual wear! So check them out. Trigelle
So speaking of clothes. Went shopping and bought some clothes that I really don't need but I bought them anyways. After I got home I had some second thoughts about keeping them and decided to return them...but then my eBay side of me got curious and I decided to post them up on eBay. If they don't sell, I can just return them for my money back (minus the eBay fees) but so far 1 of the items sold! YAHOO! But then I calculated everything out and I only ended up making a profit of $8. HA HA HA...stupid eBay and Paypal fees. Do I think it was worth it? Ehhh...I wouldn't go back and buy the whole stack they had to do it again, but then again, it was better than returning them.
I LOVE it after it rains. The rain cleans everything up. It's so awesome. Full moon in the sky, clouds here and there, and a crisp fresh night. I LOVE FALL. Crisp nights so break out those warm sweaters and jackets. It's great.
Ok, that is it for now. Talk to you all later. Such is the life of Joe...
FIGHT ON!First off, Happy Birthday Theda!!! Welcome to the quarter of a century club!!! Before you party it up, Good Luck on your Midterm! Kick ass and then you can celebrate the end of a midterm AND your birthday (ohhhhhh man, how drunk are you gonna get?). It's a celebration bitches...all ya'll Theda's celebrating her birthday on Friday at Mai Tai Bar. See ya there?! College football was AWESOME on Saturday. I witnessed the best game that I've seen this year. I thought that the Michigan St. vs. Notre Dame game a couple of weeks ago was a great game...but nothing can compare to the USC vs. Notre Dame game this Saturday. ONLY THE BEST GAME EVER! OH MAN! I lost money because USC didn't cover, but I didn't care because I got to see a great game!!!
Yeah, I lost a lot of my bets this weekend mostly because UCLA didn't cover. I needed 3 more points out of them and I would've won $50 more...but whatever. I made that up on NFL on Sunday. I'm pretty proud of myself on my betting. I've only lost about $150 this year. HA HA HA...yeah yeah yeah...must be nice, I know.
Sidenote: Who likes Pretty Girls Make Graves? Anybody? Bueller? Bueller? Ok, who's heard of Pretty Girls Make Graves? Well, they have a free concert here in OC at the Lake Forest Skatepark. If anyone I know goes...make sure to let me know.
Man, I WISH I watched Elizabethtown, but I wasn't invited. Thanks for the invite guys. I hate you all....
This weekend was spent doing nothing....it would've been busier if I watched Elizabethtown but I digress (ha ha ha, you like how I'm bitter?). Went to Knott's Scary Farm with the LA Peeps. It was good seeing them all because I haven't seen them in a while. Yeah, I've been MIA in LA for a while. Knott's Scary was fun...going though the mazes and just watching people get scared. HA HA HA! Hilarious. The mazes weren't scary at all though. But being the entertainer that I am, I decided to 'pretend' to be scared and do my 'pretend' screams when things jumped out at me to entertain people and make them laugh.
It was also my first real time on a real rollercoaster. Everyone decided to go on Supreme Scream but there was no way in hell that I was gonna go on that. You know me and freaking heights. No thanks. But I did decide to go on Accelerator which was crazy. I was having 2nd thoughts all throughout the 1.5 hour wait in line just because it looked like a crazy ride. The drop on that thing was what scared me...but when I finally got on it (dry mouth, shaking knees, sweaty palms, and all) the worst part was the first part...when it's accelerating and all the G force is pushing you into your seat. It was crazy. Everything after that first part was nothing. I'd do it again....but I wouldn't wait in line for 1.5 hours...it's only a freaking 20 second ride!!!
Well, time for another great week at work. YAHOO!!! Hope you all had a great weekend watching Elizabethtown. Such is the life of Joe...
Mmmmm......corn dogsYeah, I know I haven't blogged lately...just been really lazy and I've kinda started working out again. Too bad my after workout meal consists of 2 Corn Dogs from Wienerschnitzel (mmmmm....corn dogs). New Lost on Wednesday? Ehhhh....s'alright. No big revelations, so I wasn't too excited about this episode. Veronica Mars on the other hand is entertaining as ever. Completely different than LOST but always brings a smile to my face because of how sarcastic and witty that Veronica is....I mean...what's Veronica Mars?

Now it's the weekend....time to chill out. Perfect beach day today though...hmmmm....6 more hours of work...but I think I'm coming down with something ::cough:: ::cough:: I gots a fever...and the only thing that'll cure it is going to Laguna Beach...

Have a great weekend and rest of the workday!!! Such is the life of Joe...
Now I Hate Ohio St.Dude, I LOVE eBay sometimes. Since I've moved to a smaller room, I decided to clean up and get rid of a lot of my junk. Instead of throwing away my Import Tuner magazines, I decided to try selling them on eBay. There were 52 issues in total and they were taking up a lot of room. I was only hoping to get like $5-$10 out of them...but they sold for $76!!! AWESOME! I love it! Stupid Ohio St. I lost 4 bets and a chance at winning $125 (which is how much I would've won if they had won). Oh well, at least I won on my other bets, so I'm up for the weekend. YIPPIE!!!! You gotta love college football though...so freaking awesome. UCLA vs. Cal game was AWESOME!!! This coming Saturday is gonna be huge...USC vs. Notre Dame!!!
Dude, hanging out with friends is awesome....even when you're not doing anything. It's probably a sign that we're all getting old when we can just sit around a table and just talk and laugh it up and have a better time doing that instead of drinking at a club. And for some reason the conversation on Saturday always turned to the restroom and stories about: near piss/crap in your pants stories, how you sit on the toilet stories, do you take off clothing when you go stories, etc. HA HA HA! Hilarious. I was laughing so hard that I was crying. It was great. I'm sure that people around us were just staring and wondering who the hell we were talking like that. HA! Good times though...love those friends, I really do.
Ok, this week...I really really need to start working out again. It's so sad that when I went to softball practice a week ago, that I was all sore afterwards...even though I didn't even run. I swear, my legs were all sore and I think I just ran to first base once!? How freaking out of shape am I! Time to get back in the rhythm of working out...
Ok, everyone have a great week! Such is the life of Joe...
The SwanOK, just finished rewatching and analyzing Episode 3 of LOST and here you go: -Ok, so...Locke meets Peg Bundy, oh wait, I mean Katey Segal...who plays Helen and it seems they hit it off. But remember in the 4th episode of season 1? Locke is talking to a girl on the phone telling her about his trip to Australia to do the walkabout? He called her Helen, she said that she isn't supposed to meet customers and said if they kept on talking she'd have to charge him for an extra hour. Same Helen? Probably not, the phone Helen's real name probably wasn't even Helen. He's probably just talking to her because he lost the real Helen. In that Orientation video, it says that it was funded by Alvo Hanso...and showed him in the shadows. Kinda looked like Locke's dad...but it was really hard to tell, but Locke's dad's name is Anthony Cooper...so yeah...nevermind....another of my theories shot down...or has it... -Ok, so Sawyer and Michael landed back on the island and found Jin...and the others. But is it the same island? I mean, they were adrift at sea...maybe they're on a different but adjacent island? Maybe the rear of the plane fell to a different island? I mean, it seemed like Jack and Sayid and them went all over the island looking for the Black Rock, Danielle, and the others...don't you think they'd run into other survivors? So another island perhaps..... -Ok, remember on the orientation video it said that they were at the Swan which was station #3? Well, where are station numbers 1 and 2? Somehwere else on the island? OR on another island....dun dun dun!!! -I noticed as Desmond was rushing to pack and get out of the hatch because the computer broke, the camera paused a lil on a book on his bed. The book was "The Third Policeman" by Flann O'Brien. Significance? I dunno....just be warned...if you google the book you some of the sites that come up give away the surprise ending of the book, which sounds like a great book...and I'm kinda mad that the ending got ruined for me. -And finally, the camera paused on the picture of Desmond and some girl. Why was Jack staring at it so intently? Who's the girl? I really couldn't tell? Significance? I dunno....we'll have to wait and see.
So yeah, that was my Friday night. Batting cages and then watching LOST. WOO HOO!!! Pretty exciting, huh? Yeah, not really....Such is the life of Joe...
What's worser than worse?Hey Jon, what's worse than having to take a piss so bad that you almost piss yourself? It's having to take a dump and you almost sh!t yourself. Yeah, that's what happened today. First let's set it up.... After work today I was planning on going to work out and then have a nice relaxing time watching LOST while flipping to Veronica Mars during commercial breaks. Instead I went to the Spectrum to meet up with Reggie and Theda for dinner. Did a little shopping and (I LOVE Nordstrom and Metropark) and then met up with them at Thaifoon. They have an AWESOME happy hour there, we got stuffed and the total bill was only $21!!! Highly recommended!!! Great eBayer! A++++++!!! oh wait a minute...but seriously, it's highly recommended.
Yeah, we stuffed ourselves but not long after we were finished I felt the urge, the urge to push. I thought I could make it back home, but why is it that I hit EVERY SINGLE red light from the Spectrum to the apartment!!! Dude, it was so freaking bad, it was Ensenada bad...but worse because I had to dump instead of piss!!! I swear, I was on the stoplight of Roosevelt and Jeffrey and I was having contractions and they were so strong that all these different thoughts went through my mind: - I could take a dump in that (looking at a shopping bag since I just bought something) - Crap isn't that hard to get out of clothing - These ARE an old pair of underwear and jeans - I could just stuff my pants full of these napkins - Should I just pull over and dump on the side of the street? SOOOO many thoughts. It was crazy. Luckily I made it home parked the car and ran to the house (as Joesan was leaving saying "hi honey" from across the parking lot) and unloaded in the downstairs bathroom that we only use really for cutting our hair. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! It was magical!!!
On a side note. Our waiter at Thaifoon reminded us of "Chip" from that Disney movie "Not Quite Human". Remember that movie? It was with Alan Thicke and he built a cyborg and it looked human and he made it his son, "Chip?". HA HA HA!!! Our waiter reminded us of him just because he kinda looked like him but it was more his mannerisms. It was hilarious. The moment Theda paused and said..."doesn't he remind you of..." I immediately knew what she was talking about. Freaking hilarious, he seemed a little stiff and would say stuff like "have yourselves a pleasant evening" or something robotic like that. I dunno, it was funny...
Ok, LOST, I seriously HATE THIS SHOW! I knew it though...when they threw so and so down in the pit with so and so I knew she was a XXX and couldn't have lived out there by herself. Stupid Sawyer, Jin and Michael. Previews for the next episode look CRAZY!!!
Ok, boys and girls...the end for now. Talk to you guys later....Such is the life of Joe...
Seven Jeans, True Religion...I say no but they keep Giving...Here you guys go. October 23rd in Costa Mesa they're having a Denim Sample Sale. Get your Seven Jeans, True Religions, Diesels, Paper Denim Cloth's, Ernest Sewns, Citizens of Humanity's, Anitks, etc. Actually, I don't know what they're gonna have because they don't list it, but in the pictures of the past events it shows some good jeans. Emailing them for more information would be a good idea if you wanna know what they have for how much. Click Here for more information. You know you wanna go...Such is the life of Joe...
Memories used to flash and fade around me...Once again, for all your enjoyment....see if you can name all the people.... I'll leave you all with that. ENJOY!!!....Such is the life of Joe...
Stupid USC, I'm Still MadAnother great weekend and I really didn't do anything. Started out on Friday with the grand opening of Nordstrom at the Irvine Spectrum!!! YAHOO!!! Cat and I made it out there during lunch and it was just craziness. So many people there even though there was nothing on sale!!! There were some t-shirts, a belt, and some shoes that caught my eye, but I didn't make a purchase. Watched Sin City with the roomies and Ryan, pretty awesome movie...especially since I've read the graphic novels (some of them) and I recognized some of the shots in the movie because they're exactly the same as in the book. Sgret.
Saturday I headed to Palos Verdes to my Tita's house becacuse my Cousin was up there with her 2 daughters. I haven't seen my neice Makaylee in a long time and I've never seen her newborn sister Malina. Man, Makaylee is so big now....but she's at that age...almost 2 years old. Little Malina is so tiny but so precious spent most of the day just sleeping or staring off blankly at our faces. It was great spending time with the family once again. Spending time with them makes me miss them...if that makes any sense at all. Also went to watch Serenity with my 13 year old cousin, Pia. Awesome, AWESOME, AWESOME movie!!! So freaking great. I think I liked it more because I loved the TV show Firefly and I love Joss Whedon as a writer.
We then went to Borders and I passed a bookcase filled with all these different books on Sudoku. What the hell is Sudoku? I checked out the books and it turns out that Sudoku is this puzzle, kinda like a crossword puzzle. I took a look at how to play it and I was hooked!!! DAMMIT! It's consumed my life! So check out what Sudoku is on Wikipedia and play it online at www.websodoku.com. I apologize in advance to anyone who gets addicted to it.
Sunday was spent playing some softball in the hot freaking sun. I realize I suck (ok, I didn't realize it...I confirmed it), and then we ate at the Loft (mmmmmmmm.....Island Style Fried Chicken). I then went to pick up Jon to go to Hans' bbq at his new apartment or something...I dunno what it was really for. It was awesome to see some people I haven't seen in a while. Haven't seen Danielle since she moved back home (about a month) so it was good to see her and catch up, and of course I haven't seen Theda since the first day she got back from Hawaii (about 2 months?). Sorry I didn't spend time with you guys longer...needed to go to church, plus I needed to fix my bad big bro image. Good seeing everyone though...even though they were only happy to see me because it made them feel young that I was there....bitches.
I was actually really happy that Theda made me go to church. Kinda made me sit back and look and thank God for the awesome friends and family I have. And yes, I was happy for a little bit...not just content, which I am all the time, but actually happy for all that I have. Guess that's what you get for seeing your friends and family after a long time....
Ok, hope ya'll have a good week. Such is the life of Joe...
