Stuff
I listened to the new Common album "Be". He goes back to what he does best and just straight ahead hip hop. His last album "Electric Circus" was...ummmmm...weird. Yeah, so his newest album is a return back to "Like Water for Chocolate" and "One Day Thing'll Make Sense" etc. Very good....

Heading home to Tulare this weekend. Dad's going to the PI next weekend so I gotta come and say wassup and also give him some presents that I need to give to my new goddaughter there. YAY! I have no idea what to buy her but YAY!!!

Hmmmmm....ok, that's it. Such is the life of Joe...

=W=
First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY CILE!!! Make sure you wish her a happy birthday, because today is her birthday.

Dude, there was this freaking awesome song on the radio while I was driving to work. It sounded like it had backup vocals by Hope Sandoval, you know...Hope, from Mazzy Star? Yeah, it was an awesome song...I just don't know what it's called!!! And since it was on Indie 103.1 they probably won't play it for a long ass time!!!! That's the good thing about Indie 103.1 They won't play the same songs over and over...they'll throw in something awesome, but what sucks is when you don't hear who sings it.

The new WEEZER album "Make Believe" is awesome! I love Weezer. Their "blue album" is always in my CD player when I take a long ass drive (along with Saves the Day "Through Being Cool/Stay What You Are") just because I can pop it in and sing along to all their songs and it'll keep me awake at 5 in the morning driving a lonely stretch of I-15 to or from Vegas. Yeah, awesome album!!! WOO!!! WEEZER!!!

I'm addicted to online Carribean Stud. I checked my account today and it should've had nothing in it. I had lost all my money that I had deposited (don't worry...it's only $100) on Sunday and I was waiting until Thursday to redeposit money into it (because I get a bonus 5% for depositing on Thursdays). And lo and behold (what the hell does that mean anyways?) I had $30! I forgot that they gave me $30 for just downloading their Casino onto my computer!!! WOO HOO! Yeah, I immediately lost that too. Oh well...i'm only down $1600 overall...that's only a Canon Rebel XT with the nice lens that I wanna get. BLAH! I'm gonna chill after Thursday....I hope....

OK, the end...of this entry....I know there's something else I wanted to talk about, but since it's not popping into my head it mustn't be that important. Such is the life of Joe...

Because Jevon's....
Absolutely bored on a Friday night and just decided to enjoy my "Joan of Arcadia". Tonight was the season finale...which also might be the series finale. It was SOOOOOOOOOO GOOD! Why is it that all the shows I like...get canceled?!?! DAMMIT! But it was sooo good. ANd season 1 DVD's come out on May 10th!!! WOO HOO!!!

I actually went over to Ed's place for a round of "king's cup". Man, why did I have to answer his IM? I haven't drank freaking beer in a while...and playing King's Cup you drink a lot of beer. I swear I was full of beer after 2, and that was BEFORE we started to play. EVERYONE knows I can't take shots or chug and so the "waterfall" was killer!!! Jay and Mike can freaking chug 2 beers with no problem...I was just struggling. Good times though...good thing I only live like 3 blocks away.

Saturday was spent celebrating Mish's birthday at the Riverboat Restaurant. Good times just chilling with everyone and seeing some people we havne't seen in a while. Good times. DJ Yan Yan was hillarious! HA HA HA! I loved the fact that every time that someone would go up to him and ask "hey do you have this song?" he would answer using the microphone. HA HA HA!!! Hillarious! Happy birthday Mish!!! It was grand! but you really shouldn't be drinking all that alcohol in your condition.....CONGRATULATIONS!!! ;-p

I don't know why, but freaking Tommy was telling EVERYONE who would listen (and even some who didn't wanna) that me and him have lived together for so long we could apply for a "common law marriage". Yeah....funny thing is that Jevon said that he always saw me as the husband while Tommy was the wife! YAHOO!!! Yeah, well, whatevers....

Thank you Mr. Jovan for the hospitality and for BBQ'ing today. Good times just kicking it, watching TV, playing text twist, gambling online, and just hanging out. "Why is the Asian doctor "Asian Asian"" (jovan when watching Grey's Anatomy). HA HA HA! Hillarious!!! But not as funny as you joking around with your coworker. HA HA HA! Hillarious!!!

Good Luck to Miss Mac in her presentation tomorrow. You'll kick ass so no worries. Just remember to imagine all the people as Justin, CMM, and Patrick Dempsy and you'll be fine. WOW, must be nice not to have to go to school after Monday. Must be even nicer that soon work will be finished with its school year and you'll be chilling for 3 months. WOW!

Start of another week....blah! That's all I have to say...such is the life of Joe...

IT'S FRIDAY!!!
So I've started listening to Saves The Day once again. Not so much "In Reverie" but pretty much everything else that they've put out. Gotta love them...one of my favorite bands. My favorite album? Either "Through Being Cool" or "Stay What You Are"....I dunno. "Holly Hox, Forget me Nots", "My Sweet Fracture", "the Last Lie I Told", and "Freakish", "Nightengale", and "This is Not An Exit" stand out on the latter. Funny how you keep singing a song with the wrong lyrics and suddenly realize what the real lyrics are. I've been singing "This Is Not An Exit" as follows: "so we sail, BARELY up to the sky". The real lyrics are: "so we sail, BELLY up to the sky". HA HA HA! Great song by the way.

They also have some of the most visual lyrics out there....one of my favorites: "Somewhere out in the water...maybe you can find my heart....that's where I threw it after you had torn it out" - Holly Hox, Forget Me Nots

So I mistakenly said that "Clash City Rockers" was from "London Calling"....actually it's from The Clash's self titled debut. Either way...those 2 Clash albums are awesome.

So I think my Dad was celebrating 4/20 last night. HA HA HA! I called him up and he was at a friends house just dancing, singing karaoke, and drinking...and doing other stuff too? HA HA HA I just thought it was funny that he was having a good time on 4/20. I was gonna bust out my Hookah to celebrate, but I got lazy and just chilled.

Just finished watching "Samurai Champloo" soooooooooooooo good. WOW! Kinda sucks that it's over now. So good though.

IT'S FIRDAY!!! WOO HOO!! I'm going shopping!!! HA HA HA! Either that or I'm gonna be a lazy ass...I can't wait!!! Gotta put that newfound money that's burning a hole in my pocket to use though. I have a couple of things on my mind that I want to get...none of them are things I NEED, they're things I want. And one of the newly added things to that list is a Digital Rebel XT. DAMN YOU SHERWIN, JON, and LOU!!! Just looking at your pictures makes me wanna get a freaking Digital Rebel. Just driving around last night kinda inspired me also...saw a couple things that I thought would make a good photograph. So what to do...what to do....

And last but definitely not least....Happy Birthday Mom. Such is the life of Joe...

4:20
I love the sun, but one thing I hate about it is that I get so freaking dark so easily. I already have a freaking farmer's tan on my left arm. BLAH!!! I hate it, but what's worse is when I had a wifebeater tan. Can't stand those at all. WEll, hopefully I'll have my shirt off for most of the summer (hint hint: beach hint hint).

Ok, the song of the day today was "clash city rockers" by the clash. It's the song that brightens up my day. And usually I hear it when I'm alone in the lab at the end of the day. It gets me through my last couple hours at work. So today it was, "Clash City Rockers". That's such an awesome album...."London Calling".

4-20....OHHHH!!! Sandra Oh! When I was driving to work today, some guy on the radio kept on saying "it's 4:20, it's 4:20" and i look at my clock and it's only 9:20, so I was wondering if the morning show on Indie 103.1 was taped or not. I thought maybe they were replaying a broadcast that was originally broadcast at 4:20am. I get to work and as I'm dating a paper, it hits me. TODAY is 4-20, not the time! HA HA HA! I'm an idiot!

So apparently I DID shred and throw away my bonus check at the end of the year last year. I assumed they had directly deposited it into my bank account like they do all my paychecks. And I DO remember checking my bank account and seeing an extra deposit there (that extra deposit was actually all my sick and vacation time that I had cashed in). No worries though...she just issued me a new check. YAHOO!!! I love new found money!!!

The test today was pretty damn easy. At least I thought it was. 'Nuff Said.

Ok, I'm finished!!! I get to relax at least for the next couple weeks! YAHOO!!! Such is the life of Joe...

We've Got A New Pope Bitches!!!
Yup, Pope Benedict XVI!!! WOO HOO!!! Pretty cool. That's who my money was on...I should've bet!!! MAN!!!

So my test yesterday sucked. I really wish it was all multiple choice. She has most of her test short essay questions where we have to freaking draw. "Draw the structures of the eye and explain the route it takes to the brain"...blah blah blah. I never know how much to draw or how much to write on those stupid answers. I was sooooo freaking tired too. I just finished, went home, ate, and took a nice 1 hour nap. Too bad I couldn't go back to sleep after that. I went to bed like at 11:30pm, didn't go to sleep until probably 2:00am. I think it's the stupid Xenadrine that I'm taking. I've been taking it for a couple weeks and I've slept fine, but I think it's actually kicking it and starting to work now because I can't get to sleep (maybe it's in addition to the stress of my tests) and I have a slight headache (mainly it's the "i'm tired" headache). Maybe I should stop taking it? I dunno....

So apparently I threw away some money down the trash. Our HR person called and told me that I haven't cashed in my bonus check from the end of the year last year. I assumed that it was direct deposit into my account because my normal paychecks are...but she said it's a bonus so it was an actual check!!! OH NO!!!! So i gotta hunt that thing down and hopefully I didn't throw it away...which I think I did. BOOO!!! She'll just reissue me a check if I did though...WOO HOO!!! Extra money in my pocket!!! New IPOD? New Queen Sized Mattress? New wardobe? All of the above? we'll see...

I have a test tomorrow and I'm not really that worried about it because I'm soooooo tired. HA HA HA! Gonna study at UCI tonight and take advantage of their WiFi (I hope). I can't wait until tomorrow is finished with!!! COME ON!!!

I was sooooo looking forward to this weekend so I can rest and relax and maybe go ot the beach...but it looks like it's gonna be freaking cloudy and cold!!! Why is it that when I'm trapped having to study the weekend is GLORIOUS, but then when I'm free...it decides to be BLAH!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! MISH!!!! I'm sooooo happy!!! Happy Belated!!! ;-p

So my album of the moment is Silent Alarm by Bloc Party. Awesome album. I love that song "Banquet" that's on the radio. I think I really like it because I saw them on Letterman and saw and really heard for the first time the intricacies of the drumming on that track. Kinda like how I like "Soul To Sqeeze" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers because of the drumming (off beat drumming).

Ok, that is all for now. I'll talk to you laters. Such is the life of Joe...

Stupid Nervous System...making me nervous
So I'm stressing over this test over the Nervous System that I have today. Stressing so much that I don't wanna study becuase it's so much crap that we have to cover. Honestly, it probably isn't gonna be that bad as I think it's gonna be, but still...it's a lot of crap to cover. So much so that I didn't freaking sleep until like 4am last night. I went to BED at 1am, but 3 hours later and I'm still awake at 4am. And it's one of those sleeps where you don't really sleep at all, an unrestful sleep. BLAH! Well, I'll be studying today at work in addition to those hours I spent studying this weekend. Thanks Danny and Danielle for being my study buddies this weekend.

Saturday wasn't just dedicated to studying though. Went out to LA for Bev's birthday. Good times. Pat and Kay were crazy. Just a note to everyone is to stay an arms length away from Pat when he's drunk and dancing. HA HA HA! The pictures on Bev's blog are hillarious. HA HA HA! The food afterwards was sooooooooo freaking good...I don't even know what the name of the place was...but sooo good. Fantone and I then made it back to OC at 4am. Yeah, we would've stayed over if we both didn't have to study...next time...

OH yeah, and while we were waiting for people we were watching MTV and "Meet the Barkers". Ok, I LOVE Travis, he's an AWESOME drummer...but he's so freaking white trash. Him and his fiance. The best part of that show is the beginning credits when Travis introduces his fiance Shayna (or something) "this is Shayna, a former Miss USA and a great actress..." and it cuts to this HORRIBLE clip from Pacific Blue of her acting. ITS THE FUNNIEST THING EVER!!!! "my mom was deaf..." HA HA HA!!! HILLARIOUS!!!!

Ok, wish me luck...I'm freaking tired...I'm gonna take a lil nap right now (i'm on lunch)...hopefully I wake up...Such is the life of Joe...

I <3 DC Comics
HOW FREAKING AWESOME IS THIS?!?!?! Crisis Counseling. It's a website basically telling you important points in various DC books that'll lead up to "Infinite Crisis", their major MAJOR event this year. Enjoy Berto and Jevon!!! I LOVE DC now....freaking awesome! So obviously it looks like events from "Crisis on Infinite Earths" are unwraveling with the return of Jason Todd, Supergirl, and the original Flash...WOW! So freaking awesome!!!

Still stressing over the test...can't wait until next Thursday when I'll be finished with my tests. Studying all this weekend with a lil break Saturday night (all work and no play...).

:::sigh::: ;-p Such is the life of Joe...

Waiting in Vain
So I thought I saw a "what if" while we were all at BJ's. You know...a "what if"...someone that I think back on and think..."what if it turned out???" Yeah, I'm not sure it it was her, but it looked a little bit like her, her hair was different (highlighted and a lighter color) and I haven't seen her in maybe 2 years...so I'm not so sure it was her or not. I admit that I think about her every now and then...just because she was a really good friend. I realize that now, but not at the time? Yeah, I'm stupid. Yeah, I was thinking of going up to her and saying hello...but how embarrassing would it have been if I did, and it wasn't her!!! Last time I emailed her she was living at home in while going to nursing school. I know that she's finished with nursing school and was thinking about moving back to Orange County...so it could've been her, right? Oh well, I guess I'll never know...

So yeah, my horse...it's just waiting there for me. I know this but I don't do anything at all. Yeah, I wonder who the horse is...but does it even matter? I think the whole point of me knowing that my horse is just waiting there is to get off my ass and act, not just sit and think something will just happen because it never will if I don't do anything about it. Once again, I quote Can't Hardly Wait "there is such a thing as fate, but it only takes you so far...because once you're there, it's up to you to make it happen" Yeah, one of my favorite quotes...just gotta actually take it to heart and live it. So yeah, my horse is just waiting there...I hope shes still waiting.

Stressing over this stupid test I have next week. Stupid Nervous System. You know how freaking much information there is in the nervous system? Our teacher is just spitting all this knowledge out to us adn I have no idea what she wants us to know. It's just crazy. I really need to study....Barnes always seems to be packed when I go study...maybe I'll try UCI, but that's a freaking drive AND I'd have to deal w/ parking...but at least I know I'd get studying done there. Where else is there to study??? All I know is I can't wait until next Thursday when I'll be test free for a little bit! HOORAY!

Random song that popped into my head today and I kept singing in my head at work today: "Last Caress" by The Misfits. As you can see...not the most pleasant lyrics, but a very very catchy song. Dunno why it just popped into my head...I didn't hear it or anything at all today. Just started to sing it...weird...

Speaking of music...Mr. Bob Marley's "Legend" is back in my CD player in my car now. You know what that means? Yup...warm weather. Something about spring/summertime that makes me wanna bump that CD. Heard "Wait in Vain" today on the radio...my favorite Bob Marley song. Funny how my favorite Bob Marley song is about waiting. Regardless, it made my day...

Ok, that's my Tuesday update...Such is the life of Joe...

Weekend doing absoutely nothing...
Yeah, I was sooooooooo freaking bored on Friday....I didn't want it to be another weekend where I'd be sitting doing nothing and wondering what everyone else was doing. So I actually picked up my phone and used it!!! AMAZING! Went to Pasadena and hung out in Old Town at Q's with Theda and her roommate and her roommate's date. Good times, I love Old Town...sgreat. Yeah, they played "Gasolina" and I had to get away from that song...I had to go all the way up to the outside smoking patio on the 3rd floor. Yeah, I hate that song. Now at least she can't give me a guilt trip that I haven't visited her in Pasadena anymore. Thanks Theda for relieving me of my boredom.

So I really need to get out of the house to study. I planned to study on Saturday, going to Barnes and Noble but there were no freaking tables!!! So I went home and tried to study there. How much did I get done? Well, I read 10 pages! WOO HOO!!! So freaking bad...I really need to study!!! HELP!!! I have to write a freaking 1 page paper, which I really don't want to do and I have a test next Monday...I NEED TO STUDY!!!

ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?! Man, LOST is sooooooooooo freaking awesome. I love that show. You don't know how awesome it is until you watch episodes multiple times. I mean, throughout the episodes they give you little hints to what's gonna happen. Like the comic book with the polar bear in it, or the episode about Locke and his real father opening with him springing the trap in the boardgame "mousetrap". Soooo awesome.

So everyone has seen that one Pepsi commercial where people are opening bottles of Pepsi and songs come out? And everyone's seen that HOT girl at the beginning who does a little wiggle to Gwen Stefani's "Rich Girl". Yeah, well, she's in the new Maxim!!! Her name is Mandy Amano and she was even on Kevin and Bean on KROQ, and has spawned a couple of websites dedicated to her!!! WOW! Crazy!!! But yes, I have to admit she's very attractive...that's why I like that Pepsi commercial so much!!!

Crazy at church today. Yeah, I stayed up and watched the funeral of John Paul II as long as I could and yeah, I realized that he has passed on. But I don't think it really hit until today at Mass. You know that one part in Mass when the priest goes "John Paul our Pope...so and so, our Bishop". Well, Fr. Bernard said "John Paul our Pope..." and then realized what he had said and corrected himself "...recently deceased". Wow! That's what it hit me. Crazy. In a couple of weeks priest are going to have to learn to say a different name when they mention the Pope (well, unless the Pope decides to be John Paul III).

That's all for now...gotta get through 5 days of work (2 of which are work THEN school) until the weekend...counting down the days....Such is the life of Joe...

$40 down, $1360 to go!!!
It's soooooo hot outside. I hate it. I mean, I love it, but I hate it also. I hate it because I'm trapped here at work not enjoying it at all. Ok, it's time for beach season...I can't wait!!! It's such a nice day today...we should go to the beach on Saturday! HA HA HA!!!

I didn't have class on Monday, and so instead of going to class and instead of studying and instead of working out...I went and watched a great UNC vs. Illinois game and won $30!!! YAHOO!!! I'm back!!! Plus I won $10 yesterday betting against the Lakers and for the Angels! WOO HOO!!!! Betting makes sports soooo much more interesting!

The plan yesterday was that I was supposed to work out, eat dinner, then go to Barnes and study. I worked out (but I didn't do any cardio like I planned), I ate dinner (mmmmm...chicken breast, brown rice, and green beans), but then I sat on the computer wondering if I should go study at Barnes or not. Cici told me that I should go...and so I went...only to find that there was absolutely no place to study. GREAT! So I spent half an hour just wandering around looking for a table to study at, looking at some graphic novels I was thinking about buying, and also just browsing through their magazine section before going home and doing nothing at all. YAY! I'll study tomorrow...(thursday). BLAH!

Hump day today...only 2 more days until the weekend. YAHOO!!! Nothing planned, but it's the weekend....shop? beach? hookah/cigar smoking? or just hanging out? Whatever it is, it'll be better than school and work...unless I study during the weekend...BOOO!!!!

Monday, April 04, 2005

I'm Addicted Again
Good luck in your first day at work Cici! Have fun talking with HR all day and also trying to find your dump bathroom that no one knows about. HEE HEE!!!

All i can say is that DC Comics is putting out some of the best stuff out right now! I USED to be a Marvel Man, but all the comics that I've been buying lately and reading have been DC. Countdown...great, just finished Identity Criss...great, and the latest Batman Issue? WOW WOW WOW! I'm so freaking excited to everything that DC is doing right now. It's amazing. I can't wait for Infinite Crisis....man, I'm back to comics...great....

So my right forearm is a little sore....(stop snickering Jevon)...it's from bowling. Went bowling yesterday with Cici, Jay, Sherwin, Ryan, Chris, Cesar, Tommy, and Jon. Good times. I haven't bowled in at least 2 years (maybe longer). Bowling was us working off our big Roscoe's meal. Mmmmm...Roscoe's...soooo good. I haven't been there in the longest time, so I had to get 1/2 Chicken with gravy on the side, and a diet coke to drink. Mmmmm... Thanks Cici for buying my lunch!!!

The other days were pretty boring. I didn't really do anything but lose money on Friday and did absolutely nothing on Saturday. It isn't until after the weekend was finished that I realized I should've done my laundry AND studied too. I have a test coming up and I haven't opened up my book in the longest time. Maybe we'll do that this weekend? I dunno...

Ok, that was my weekend...no class today! WOO HOO!!! Should I work out? Should I study? Should I do laundry? I dunno....we'll see what happens...such is the life of Joe...

And the winner is...JOEMAMA!!!
So my friend...who shall remain nameless (rach) is a stalker. Stalker because she's obsessed with Chad Michael Murray. I call her the stalker extraordinaire because that's the first impression I got of her when I first really met her, holding a certain collage for a certain "comet". Yeah, but she knows that Chad Michael Murray is getting married this month, so she decides to look it up...on weddingchannel.com!!! And guess what? She actually finds it! But all it tells her is where they're registered. And guess what she does? She actually goes to their registry, and goes through the process of buying something (not actually buying, it, but adding it into your cart and checking out)...just so she can get the address of the wedding!!! STALKER!!!

So this friend argues that you can't compare "The OC" to "My So Called Life", "Freaks and Geeks", or "Life As We Know It". She said that "they're soooooooo different genres...you can't compare those together". So I eventaually convinced her that they ARE the same genre (if both the OC and My So Called Life were nominated for emmy's what category would they be in? Drama...thank you). Apparently the Emmy people would think they're comparable. They're even more alike in that they're BOTH TEENAGE DRAMAS. So YES you can compare them. Ok, sure I admit that the OC is the best show on TV that is set in Orange County, with teenagers, and a juvenile deliquent from Chino living in his lawyer's house. Hands down, it's the best set in Orange County, with teenagers, and a juvenile deliquent from Chino living in his lawyer's house type of show. But best teenage drama? NOOO WAY. "My So Called Life, et. al" were all wayyyy better than that show. Heck, "Veronica Mars" is better than that show (veronica mars is a great show). So we've established that the shows are comparable...now which one is better? Of course I say "My So Called Life, et al." and you know what...doesn't the fact that she said you can't compare the 2 shows an admission that "My So Called Life, et al" IS a better show than "The OC"? Why even start this debate if you had confidence that "The OC" is better than "My So Called Life, et. al"? -------> I'm the WINNER!!!!

The weather outside is so freaking nice. I love it. Too bad I'm trapped at work for most of the day. I really wanna take advantage of the great weather we're having and spend some outdoor time. Whether it just be sitting outside chilling and people watching, chillling at the beach, chilling at the park, or swimming in the pool, or something (I know Fantone, I need to buy a bike)...I know I wanna take advantage of this weather this weekend. It's wayyyyyyyyyyy too nice to be cooped up inside.

WOW! I actually blogged all 5 days this week! Impressive! Hope all you readers enjoy yourselves! Time for the weekend....such is the life of Joe...
