Slow Motion For Me...
First things first. For those of you that know my roommate Tommy, please give him a call......and yell, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! You're old! HA HA HA! I get to hit you 26 times with those bamboo swords, right? HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Pweh pweh...I'm 26 now.
You know what song I love to hate? That Juvenile song "Slow Motion". Uhhhhh, I like it like that, she's working that back, I don't know how to act...slow motion for me, slow motion for me.... HA! I love/hate it so much! It's one of those songs that you love to hate. No, NOT like "Pieces of Me" by Ashlee Simpson...I actually LIKE that song.
I can't believe that I'm watching this freaking show on UPN. It's called "Amish In The City", yup pretty stupid sounding huh? But it hooked me. I guess it's like Juvenile's "Slow Motion". I hate it...but I watch it anyways. So basically it's about these 5 Amish moving into a house with 5 regular people. So it's like Real World, with half the people being Amish. But it's not like they're acting Amish...they're like on a break from being Amish, so they can do whatever. Stupid? Yeah. Did I watch it all? Yeah. But honestly, the normal people were freaking treating the Amish people so badly at first. They were joking around not wanting to sleep in the same room, and just making fun of them. They said "when we're joking around about the Amish, we're not laughing at you personally." Yeah, that's a valid argument...try telling a gay guy "when I'm joking around about Gays I'm not laughing at YOU personally". Yeah...one of the guys making fun was Gay.
So since I'm talking about stuff that I love to hate, and I've already talked about Music and TV, time to talk about movies. But I can't think of a movie I love to hate. Meaning a movie that I hate so much but I watch nonetheless. I was gonna say "Dude, Where's my Car" but I seriously think that's THE stupidest movie ever. Yes, that stupidest. But you know what movie I wanna watch??? "Harold And Kumar Go To White Kastle" by the makers of "Dude, Where's My Car". It looks so freaking funny. Especially that Asian guys face when that racoon pops up...I freaking laugh my ass off every time.
Ok, that's it now. I'm waiting for the weekend. I cannot wait because this week is kicking my ass. Happy Birthday once again Tommy!!! Such is the life of Joe...

What's so fun about camping?
What is it about camping that is so fun? Think about it. You get all freaking dirty, there are bugs all around, it's usually freaking hot as hell, there is no TV, there is no electricity, you have to set up a tent, you have to make your food, you have to start a fire, and you usually end up just sitting around. But you know what? Whatever it is...it's great.
That's what I did this past weekend. Just chilled up in Silverwood Lake with a bunch of friends...camping. It was good times. It was great times. I think it's just getting away and doing something that isn't part of your regular routine, it's spending time in that mountain sky where the stars are so bright, and it's about hanging out with your friends. Hanging out with your friends just talking, joking around, drinking, and of course smoking the hookah. Good times. Thank you to Mr. Lou Lavarro for planning everything. It was great.
I'm still tired from the weekend. I think I'm a lil dehydrated. I slept most of Sunday and I'm still tired. And I got hella dark...but most of it washed off down the drain! HA HA HA! Such is the life of Joe...

TBS
Yeah, so apparently blogger doesn't recognize the ' ' html code and that's why you see them at the start of all my paragraphs.
So I checked out the new Taking Back Sunday album called "Where You Want To Be" on MTV's "The Leak". Yeah, not nearly as great as their first album "Tell All Your Friends". Jevon's theory is that it's because a couple of their members left to form "Straylight Run". Yeah, but when I was listening to their new album, it sounded more to me like the All American Rejects than TBS. Not as hard, which means not as good as the first one...but then again, I only listened to it once, but I was not impressed.
I think I have a really good immune system. It was only yesterday that I was feeling like crap, well, asctually Monday after work, but yesterday was the worst. So after drinking some orange juice, drinking my Naked echinacea drink, taking my echinacea pills, and sleeping the whole day after work, I feel 80 percent better. Not 100 percent, only 80 percent, but I no longer have the chills/fever, I'm not coughing, and my body doesn't ache anymore. Good times.
Ok, the end for now. Camping this weekend. I can't wait...even though it's gonna be freaking hot, but more on that later. Such is the life of Joe...

LA SHMELL-A
I might as well freaking move to LA right now.  I mean, this past weekend, I was in LA for 3 days in a freaking row!  Even Riann was shocked because she said that she's seen me too much these past few weeks.  BOOOOOOO!  Yeah, I had a good time, but LA is too far.  If only it was closer and there wasn't all that stupid traffic.
Friday night was spent celebrating Mr. Joe de los Reyes' 26th bDay at "Firecracker" in Chinatown.  Dude, when we got there it was just chill and hella cold upstais where they were playing hip hop (as opposed to downstairs where they were playing jazz).  2 hours later, the whole room is freaking packed with people and I'm sweating just standing there!  What the heck!  Craziness.  We proceeded to go to Full House afterwards which is this Chinese Restaurant that is open until 4am!  What a great concept!  Well, HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOE!!!  I hope you had a great time, cause I sure did.
Saturday was planned sleep and relax day.  Which is what i did, until I got bored.  Luckily Theda called up and asked if I wanted to go out.  She just asked to be nice because I never say yes, but she was totally shocked when I told her let's go out!  We picked up Sue and then headed for Larchmont.  It was a good time even though that place is more for bboys or something.  I think I had a good time because I was drunk.  Thanks Sue for the freaking "adios" that put me over the top.
I think I was starting to feel a lil sick today.  At first I thought it was a hangover, which it might've been, but I really think that I was getting sick.  I went to church and then reluctantly went to LA to Versailles for Larnie's Going Away Dinner.  Honestly, if it was anything else, I wouldn't have gone because I was so freaking tired and sick...but it's for Larnie and it's probably the last time I'll see her before she leaves for Arizona.  It was good times and it was yummy food with my squid and rice.  Yup, at Versailles I got squid and rice.  Maybe it's because people over-hyped it too much, but I really don't think the chicken there is that great.  BLASPHEMY!  No really...I don't.  Good times at dinner and emotional goodbyes were said.  GOOD LUCK LARNIE!  Stay in the shade out there....freaking Arizona is hot.  Keep a spot open on the floor for me to visit...maybe in September when it's only 100 degrees....in the shade =D.
That was my weekend.  Now, I'm sick thanks to Tommy.  But at least I'm not "pweh pweh" calling sick on Monday.  I'll call in sick on Friday!  HA!  Such is the life of Joe...

SPOILED!
&nbsp&nbspDude, don't you think that when a freaking movie trailer SPOILS a major plot line in the movie that they'd give you warning?  I mean, the trailer isn't supposed to tell you what happens in the movie...just clips to different parts.  THE STUPID SPIDER-MAN 2 TRAILER TOTALLY SPOILS A MAJOR PLOT LINE FOR ME!  Here I am, just watching some TV and the freaking trailer comes on and I'm just shocked!  Shocked not because it happens (b/c it happens in the comics) but shocked because they show it in the trailer!  I mean, I have no reason to watch the movie anymore!  WHAT THE HELL!!!  PISS ME OFF!  So, if you HAVEN'T watched Spider-Man 2 yet, DO NOT watch ANY trailers!!!  Such is the life of Joe...

Veinte Seis
"Pweh pweh...I'm 26 now". That's what Joe De Los Reyes said today since it's his birthday today. PWEH PWEH! Happy birthday Joe.
So I've been watching "I Love The 90's" and you know what....It isn't as good as "I Love The 80's". It's not really funny at all. I think it's because it's way too soon to have a show about the 90's. I mean, all the stuff that they make fun of, people still like. The whole thing about the 80's show is that a lot of that stuff that they showed they don't have anymore. They don't show a lot of the 80's shows, play the 80's music, or have the 80's toys or trends....so it had this kind of nostalgia thing to it. The 90's doesn't have that since you can catch re-runs of the shows on TV, you can listen to the music on the radio, and you still have the toys in your bedroom.
So I think I figured something out and everything makes a lot of sense right now! WOW! Craziness!!!
It's hot...it's probably gonna be hot when we go camping...I don't like the hot. I like it, but I don't like it. If i'm just relaxing I'd rather it be cold. If i'm going to swim, I want it to be hot...if I'm just going to chill at the beach...I'd rather have it cool.
Ok, that's it for now. I'm tired...such is the life of Joe...

Happy Birthday John John!
This weekend was a fun but tiring weekend and I’m sad that it’s over. Seeing old friends is always a good time. Saturday night was spent at Zanzibar in Santa Monica to celebrate Jovan’s Birthday (Happy Birthday Jovan…today’s your birthday, right???) and John John’s graduation (NOT birthday! Congratulations John John). Good times seeing both those guys drunk, getting to see my “stalker” again, watching Cile worry about where her cousin went, chanting “Sherwin, Sherwin, Sherwin...” instead of “Ed, Ed, Ed….”, and seeing Alden hide behind a van when this group of girls stepped out of the club! HA! Comedy!!!
Sunday was spent out in the sun playing softball with the old BlueBalls crew. It was so good seeing Tony and Julie and little Marley, and of course seeing the rest of Blue Balls that showed up. It was like a blending of the old school original Blue Balls with the newbie Kaba team who showed up (baseball jersey’s and all) but it was good times just chilling, and enjoying the great (but hot) summer weather. Man, I was so freaking tired from playing softball…not because I was catching and hitting and running…b/c I really didn’t do much of that…it was mostly from just being in the sun all day and running back and forth from the outfield. BOOOOO…. Yeah, that’s a sign of getting old, I think.
Oh yeah, I forgot to talk about Friday: The new Roots album is grand, making compilations of funny SNL clips on your computer (more cowbell!!!, Jeffrey’s, Debbie Downer, etc.) is entertaining. Tagging pictures and mp3’s on Photoalbum and iTunes respectively is time consuming. And putting your used cigar bands into an album will fill your Friday night with tons of fun.
And so…cheers to my friends. Wthout you, my weekend would’ve been freaking boring. Such is the life of Joe…

Tell A Friend...
I didn't fall asleep until 2 in the morning....because I was watching some stupid band play a stupid show and they didn't start until stupid 1 o'clock in the morning. STUIPD! So if ever someone asks me to go to an Ill Again concert again...I'll say yes. Just as long as it's not a work day, just as long as they dont' play at 1 o'clock at night, just as long as someone buys me free drinks. No, but for reals...they're a good band, I had a good time, I'm spreading the word. Check em out, so maybe next time it won't just be the 10 of us watching them. HA!
Best part of the night. Annoying and embarrassing Iya and Rachele. I love annoying/embarrassing people...just ask Tommy. So I'm just yelling out stuff that they don't want to be yelled out. Oh man! It was great! Were they embarrassed? I hope so...they wouldn't come out and play at the front of the stage (even though there were only like 5 people out on the floor they hung back like 15 feet). BOO ON THEM. So yes, I'll go to another Ill Again show just because embarrassing/annoying Iya and Rachele made it all worth while.
So "tell a friend, it's Ill Again, original, not the run of the mill again"...Such is the life of Joe...

Ghost Bar is da Bomb!
Vegas weekend was grandiose. Traffic was not as bad as I thought it was gonna be, both coming and going back from Vegas. Only thing is that my freaking AC conked out in the middle of the 107 degree Mojave desert. Maybe I should get that thing looked at...for the first time in it's 10 year history.
&nbps&nbpsSo I'm down $200, which really is nothing at all...that's mostly from playing Roulette and Blackjack...but mostly from Roulette. I tried counting cards...and when I was counting and the count was favoring me (+3 or better I think) I bet more (from $10 I raised my bet to $25) and I'd always win! AWESOME! Too bad its kinda hard to keep track of your count, keep track of what cards you have and what you should do with it, keep talking to the dealer, keep tipping the waitress, and other stuff. It's also easier when they deal the cards face up (like at Bally's or Paris) but harder when the dealers are fast.
Ghost Bar is the freaking awesome!!! The 2 hour wait in line was well worth it. We could've gotten in maybe an hour earlier if TOMMY hadn't wanted to watch "CHEATERS"!!! DAMMIT! Good times though. Ghost Bar is awesome...the view is awesome, it's just chill there. You can't beat the view. The only thing is that since most of it is outside, if it's hot outside (like 80's in the Vegas night) then it's hot at Ghost Bar. Good times, good times.
Oh yeah, this weekend I saw so many stars/celebrities. First there was Kareem Rush playing craps at Paris, then there was Suge Knight (that dude is huge) at Palms, and then there was Gary Payton (I didn't see him, but Tommy did) at Ghost Bar. COOL! Great trip and what makes it better is that I'm not at work right now...I woke up late (noon) and they said that I don't have to come in anymore. HOORAY! 3-Day work week for me! HOORAY! Such is the life of Joe...

Vegas Baby
Finally, the weekend is almost here. I just have to get through Friday (which is probably going to seem soooooo freaking long) and I'll be on my way to Vegas to celebrate my brother's birthday on Saturday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAMES!!! This weekend will be grandiose...I haven't been to Vegas in a long time, so I'm itching to gamble. Plus I got a bonus on Wednesday...a pretty big bonus, if you ask me...so now I have more money to gamble! WOO HOO!!! The only thing I'm not looking forward to, is the traffic. Man, that's gonna suck...but whatevers. It's freaking VEGAS! YAHOO!!! So if any of ya'll are gonna be in Vegas...gimmie a call. I'll be there till Monday...Hopefully still gambling..but if I lose all my money, I'll need something to do. Such is the life of Joe...
