Core Secrets
Who wants to watch Mean Girls???? No, I'm not kidding. I'm serious. Why?
1. - It was written by Tina Fey from SNL and she's freaking hillarious
2. - It was loosley based on "Heathers" an awesome movie w/ Winona Ryder
3. - The Trailer looks freaking hillarious especially that part where the girl tries to catch the football. HA HA HA!
Yes, those are the reasons.
Dude, the best Infomercial EVER! Have you guys seen the infomercial for "Core Secrets"? ITS THE BEST!!! Basically, Core Secrets is the usual exercise program claiming "real results, guaranteed". What's different? Well, all of the exercises are done on one of those exercise inflatable ball things. Why is it the best infomercial ever? It's because FREAKING BROOKE BURKE IS IN IT!!! HELL YEAH!!!
BROOKE BURKE IS SO FREAKING HOT! (note to self....must purchase Brooke Burke's 2004 calendar). I freaking love this infomercial! Can you say Brooke Burke in leotards demonstrating different exercises like butt exercises!!! HELL YEAH! This informercial almost made me wanna go and buy "Core Secrets" just so I can watch the training videos with Brooke Burke in it! AWESOME!
Thanks Jevon for the newest Park CD and Moneen CD. They're both awesome. Such is the life of Joe...
Smashing Pumpkins
I hope you all voted for John Stevens for American Idol!!! HE SUCKED SO BAD!!! THAT HE HAS TO WIN! COME ON!!!! It's gonna be the funniest thing if he wins! COME ON!
So I'm listening to Smashing Pumpkins "Siamese Dream". I remember this used to be one of my favorite albums back when it first came out...and I stopped listeing to it after a while when I went into my harder "punk" musical tastes. But yeah, awesome album. Best song on there is "Mayonaise"...just awesome. It's funny how when you listen to old music you kinda get all nostalgic and stuff. Yeah, it brought back memories of high school. Yeah, another great song from Smashing Pumpkins was "Drown" from the "Singles Soundtrack"...awesome soundtrack and probably my favorite song of the Smashing Pumpkins. Too bad that they started to make crappy ass music after Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness (which is a great double album too). Oh yeah...why did I start listening to Smashing Pumpkins again? It's because I heard them on KROQ this weekend when they were having blocks of songs from artists...then I heard them on KROQ today going to the gym...then I heard them on KROQ going home from the gym. So I guess it was a sign to download...i mean, BUY these songs.
Ok, one thing...I don't like Lou. I don't like him because I need to get my body to look like his but it's not working. So I tried out his stupid HIIT cardio thing...basically I alternated between jogging and sprinting every 30 seconds for 5 minutes. Yes, only 5 minutes....and I thought I was gonna freaking fall down and throw up aftewards. DAMMIT! Keep in mind that I never do cardio...this was just a "hey, I don't wanna spend time doing cardio but this only takes 5 minutes so I'll do it" and it kicked my ass. I swear I was thinking about taking the elevator downstairs because I couldn't take the stairs, and I was about to freaking throw up and everything. Yeah! It was great! So in closing....do not just think you can sprint if you haven't done cardio in the longest time. Also...CARDIO SUCKS! Who cares if it's good for your heart...it's boring and makes me tired! BLAH!
Oh yeah...here's my dilemma...I'd easily go swimming to do my cardio workout, but I can't fit it in my schedule...Monday..I do shoulders at the gym and you can't freaking swim after you kill your shoulders. Tuesday I do back and biceps...have you ever tried to swim after killing your back? Impossible. Wednesday and Thursday is class. Friday is chest...also...impossible to swim if you work your chest out to fatigue. The only times I can swim are Saturday adn Sunday...boo hoo...poor me, huh? Blah.
Blah blah blah...such is the life of Joe...
Happy Birthday Cile
For now, here's some PICTURES from Cile's birthday shindig. Ok, I'm tired...nite nite, sleep tite. Such is the life of Joe...
You Can't Triple Stamp a Double Stamp!!!
So as I was smoking a cigar outside, I saw all these kids playing tag. Ahhhhh...tag...such a fun game. But then I started to think about tag and its rules...then I realized...I don't really know the rules?! I think I'm getting "TAG" confused with "HIDE AND GO SEEK". Ok, lemme ask some questions:
- is there a "safe place" in TAG?
- in HIDE AND GO SEEK is there a "safe place"?
- if there is no "safe place" in tag then you just keep on running around????
- if there is no "safe place" in HIDE AND GO SEEK who do you know who's "IT"?
- is the person "IT" the first person that gets found? or do you have to find everyone and the last person who gets found is it?
So I remember playing TAG and I remember that there was a safe zone, but Tommy and James say that there wasn't? I distinctly remember having a safe zone like a pole or something, and we would tease whoever was "IT" by only having one finger on the safe zone or by leaving the safe zone by like a foot and then jumping back to it when whoever "IT" was came close.
Also I remember playing HIDE 'N GO SEEK and there was a safe zone too. I remember hiding and then after a while running to the safe zone. I remember this one time, we were playing in the backyard of one of my friends. He lived out in the country...the grass was probably waist high. This was at night and all I did was just lie down in the grass and the person who was IT walked right past me and then I ran to the safe zone. Is that HIDE 'N GO SEEK? or is that a different game? I dunno....maybe it was a Tulare thing...
So who wants to play tag or hide 'n go seek? Such is the life of Joe...
American Idol?
Ok, here's the plan! I wanna start voting for Mr. John Stevens so he can win American Idol!!! Why? No, it's not because he's good...it's the exact opposite...it's because he sucks ass!!! HA HA HA! How awesome would that be if he actually becomes the American Idol??? HA HA HA! I love it! That's the plan for now!!! Come on! Who's in it with me! It would just totally wreck the show! AWESOME! So mark your calendars next week and remember to vote for John Stevens! HOORAY!
11oz. Filet Mignon (pronounced MIG-non)
You know what's good? Steak is soooooo good. Mmmmmm...delicious! Especially after you haven't eaten real meat in over 40 days. Yeah, I ate meat on Easter Sunday. Some prime rib...but that didn't tide me over at all. I was craving meat on Friday after watching Kill Bill, but alas...it was too late for some real steak. So the next day Jon, Gee, and I went to Black Angus and that's where I got my fill of meat. Mmmmmm...delicious.
So the last 2 episodes of the Dave Chappelle Show have been especially hillarious. Last weeks show had Wayne Brady on it and he was all gangsta! It was hillarious! Then the episode from this week had the real Lil Jon on it! HA HA HA!
&bnsp So I watched Kill Bill Vol. 2 on Friday with the peeps. Good movie. If you're expecting more of what you saw in Vol. 1, then you'll be disappointed, but it's still an awesome movie. Ahhhhh...kiddo! HA! I get it! But you know what I read somewhere? If you stay until the end of the credits, then there's bloopers. Dammit! I guess I'll have to wait until the next time I watch it. Yeah, good movie, and good times just hanging out with the peeps again. Almost a cruise reunion...except we were missing Ryan, Jenn, Chris, Cile, and Jay.....ok, nevermind...it wasn't almost a cruise reunion...I'm just stupid.
I'm dreading Monday because it's gonna be so freaking long!!! Dammit! Honestly this week is gonna be so freaking long too! I can't wait until it's over so I can actually do something this weekend. This past weekend, I basically just sat at home...if it wasn't for Jon and Gee dragging me out of the house then I would've stayed in my PJ's from Friday night until Sunday morning. Pretty cool, huh? Oh well, I'm counting down the days....such is the life of Joe....
Only The Best Show Ever
Yeah, I love Freaks And Geeks. I'm so glad that I got the complete series DVD set. Well, worth the money. Now I'm kinda wishing that I bought the special special edition version available only online for $120....but it's alright. Yeah, but that show...so freaking awesome! And yes, I have to admit that part of that reason is Linda Cardellini.
Ahhhh yes, Linda Cardellini...before you guys knew her as "Sam" in ER, or "Velma" in Scooby Doo, or even BEFORE "Lindsey" in Freaks and Geeks, I remember her as "Lauren" from Boy Meets World. I mean....I never watched Boy Meets World, I was always out on Friday nights...the episodes with Linda Cardellini in it weren't my favorites behind the "Scream" episode...not that I ever watched that show. But yeah...if I DID watch that show, I remember Linda Cardellini as the girl who kisses Corey (who's Corey?) while his high school was on a ski trip and he hurt his leg or something. She's the one that caused Corey (again who's Corey?) and Topanga (what's a Topanga?) to break up....great episodes...if I watched them, that is.
But she makes "Freaks and Geeks" the best show ever. I've been staying up late at night just to watch my DVD's. She's great in "ER" too...but I think that she looks way better as a brunette. Anyways...that's my ramblings for today. Such is the life of Joe...
Exciting Saturday Night
I just picked up the complete season of Freaks and Geeks. Only the BEST SHOW EVER! Ok, maybe not ever...but one of the best shows that only survived for 18 episodes about freaks and geeks in 1980. You guys haven't heard of "Freaks and Geeks"? Well, it starred James Franco who would later play Harry Osbourn in "Spider Man" and also the lovely Linda Cardelini from "ER" and "Scooby Doo". It's an awesome show, freaking funny as hell. There's this one "geek" that freaking makes me laugh every time he's on the screen! And there's this one "freak" that's just so freaking sarcastic! SO FUNNY!
Ok, so today was the most boring day ever. James is up north, and Tommy went home to Cerritos and so I was home all alone. So what do I do when I'm bored and there's nothing to do? I go out and spend money. I went shopping by myself (LOSER!) at Brea Mall. Then Jevon came over and we went to Best Buy where I bought "Freaks and Geeks" (there was also the complete series of "My So Called Life" that was tempting me and will soon be mine). Yeah, but that's what I do when I'm bored and there's nothing to do. I go out and spend money.
Why didn't I call anyone and ask to hang out? Yeah, I think I've talked about this in my blog entries before. But I have this phobia...well, not phobia, but this complex...where I don't like calling people and asking them what's going on, or what they're doing. It's this thing I have because I think that I'm being rude and barging in on their plans, or inviting myself in on their plans, or just plain bothering them, so I don't call. I wait for people to call me...and I know that if everyone thought that way then no one would call anyone...but I dunno...it's just this complex that I have. I think it's just a small part of the bigger problem that I have of caring what people think of me which explains my low self esteem, which explains a lot of what I do. This psych class that I'm taking is really teaching me a lot about myself...maybe too much that I really didn't want to learn. Maybe that's why I hate that class so much.
So it's past midnight....does that mean I can start drinking soda, start eating meat, start eating fast food, and start maste....I mean giving up all the stuff I gave up for Lent since it IS Easter? Well, I dunno...I'll just wait until after Mass to do all that stuff. Hope you all have a HAPPY EASTER!!! Such is the life of Joe...
3 More Days Until Meat!
So I don't think I needed to worry about anything for that stupid paper and stupid test. That test was so freaking easy (knock on wood), I'm glad that I spent most of my time finishing my paper instead of studying for that stupid test. I think it was mostly just common sense. Good for me! Hump day is over! Hooray!
So guess what channel we get on cable now? MTV2!!!! HOORAY!!! I know...it's still MTV and still sucks compared to FUSE, but at least now I can have something on when nothing else is on TV. Hooray! I can actually watch MUSIC VIDEOS! Awesome!!!! So any of you Cox Cable subscribers in Orange County, channel 65!
So I have to add another movie to my list of "I wanna watch but I'll probably just wait until the DVD because I'm a lazy ass who really doesn't like going to movies" list. This list includes the really wanna sees: "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind", "Kill Bill Vol. 2", and now added to this list "The United States of Leland" the movies on the maybes list are: "Hellboy", and "Punisher".
I added a link to Trish's pictures from the Ensenada cruise on my Ensenada Cruise Picture page. THANKS TRISH!!! I think if you add Trish's pictures to everyone else's pictures...the total comes up to over 1000 pictures! WOW! Let's go on another cruise!!! Come on!!!
Man!!! There was something I was gonna write about but I totally forgot now! Dammit! Well, that's it for now...talk to you guys later. Such is the life of Joe...
I'm Gonna Love Hump Day
What in the world? I just logged onto MyFamily.com just because I was bored and just was curious to see what would happen and I actually got into the site!!! I thought it turned to a pay site?! But alas...you can only log on and go to the main page...you can't add anything or change anything. Boooo...
Anyways. I can't wait until freaking Wednesday is finished and over with. I'll be done with my paper that I'm writing, I'll be finished with the presentation that I have to present, the test that I'm studying for will be over, and the week will be more than halfway finished! Oh how I'm counting down the days. The sad part is that I don't really care anymore how I do in this class. Yeah, I know I'll regret it after I get that freaking "B" on my transcript...but damn...there's just too much work for a lazy ass to do. Hopefully the teacher will curve the class so I can still get an "A" but I dunno. There's just something about getting less than an "A" in an intro class at a junior college after getting your BS in Bio at UC Irvine....or is that just me?
I'm ready for another vacation. I'm probably going to go back to Tulare for a weekend sometime in April, but other than that...I think I need to chill somewhere. Another cruise? A trip to Vegas? A trip to San Diego beaches? A trip to the local beaches? A trip to Mexico again? I dunno....I'm just loving that the weather is starting to warm up. That cruise just was too fun and relaxing that it spoiled me and has gotten me craving for another vacation. That, and I need to work on my tan...cause I'm getting way to pale (HA HA HA!).
Ok, that's it for now. Happy Early birthday to Mr. Jon Nathan tomorrow because I'm probably gonna be too busy to post something tomorrow. Such is the life of Joe...
Studying, shmudying
So for the past 2 days I've been at UCI because I have to get some articles for my stupid psych paper due next week. Yeah, but I haven't been back on campus in maybe 3 years? (graduations don't count) and so much has freaking changed especially in the Bio Sci/Phys Sci area. There's like 4 new buildings there...I kid you not! Where the hell did they come from?
So being back at UCI and going through the library finding and photocopying journals was so much fun. Yes, I said fun. I think it was fun because it brought back good memories or something. Well, maybe not memories...but of that carefree feeling that you had when you were in college when the biggest thing on your mind was a stupid midterm instead of "is this job what I wanna do for the rest of my life" thinking that you get right after graduation. But yeah...I just miss those days. Man, when I was at the Science Library I just had those memories of me just studying my stupid O-Chem and everything. That's what I really miss and want to do over. Yeah, sounds weird, but it's true. Honestly...I wish I could do over my first 2 years at UCI. I think I was so sheltered and shy that I never got out much and didn't meet that many people. Plus I did pretty bad in classes that I should've done better in. Junior and Senior years were fun though...I did better in class and that's the time when I met a lot of people. Yeah, I miss those days.
So today was the first time ever that I went to the Main Library. Wow, that Library is awesome!!! All the archives downstairs in the basement. That basement is the coolest thing ever with its automatic bookcases!!! I was playing for the first couple minutes moving the bookcases left and then right. I wanted to try to run between them as they were moving, but I didn't know if it would stop if I got caught...or crush me to death.
Ok, that's my update for now. I might be MIA for the next couple days since I have a freaking paper and test on the same day...neither of which I've started studying or writing. Ok, so I better stop blogging and start writing/studying. Such is the life of Joe...
