CRUDE MINRS
So as I was taking a dump at home, I opened up some reading material as usual. My choice in reading material? Human Physiology my Bio 109 Physiology textbook from back in 1999 (wow, that's a long time ago). Yeah, and so I was readying about the 10 organ systems in the human body and I remembered there was a pneumonic to help you remember the 10 systems. But I couldn't remember the freaking pneumonic!!! I spent the next half-hour or so looking on the internet or looking in my old textbooks and old notes from class just to freaking find it. Funny thing is that I could've named the 10 just by thinking about it, but it bothered me that I didn't know the freaking pneumonic. Funny thing is that I'd probably do the same thing on a test...I'd know the answer if I just thought about it, but I needed to remember the "easy" way to remember it, the pneumonic way. Ok, that was my story for today. Hope you enjoyed it.

P.S. Can I Keep Selling Sex For Money, Officer???? - another pneumonic for the _________? (just for you bio majors out there)

Mmmmmmm....sgood
Saturday night didn't go as planned, but I still had a great time. Dinner with Chiemi and Emi who I haven't seen in like 2 years went as planned. It was so good seeing them again. Dinner at C&O in Venice was grand and I freaking couldn't even finish all the food I got even though I got a "half" order. Damn that place is good. It was great seeing them and just catching up. Good times. I was supposed to go Shelby's birthday at the Pig 'N Whistle in Hollywood afterwards but dinner kinda went long and also I didn't have anyone to go with. Oh well, hope you had a great birthday Shelby!!!
Lucky Strike Bowling Alley at the Block is soooooooooooooooo freaking awesome. That's the place to be. It's not a bowling alley with a bar in it, it's a bar with a bowling alley in it. Freaking awesome place. Each lane gets its own couch, a waitress to give you drinks and food, plasma TV for keeping score, and huge projection TV above where the pins are so you dont' have to miss the Laker game while you're bowling. Then the bar area has all these TV's there which would be an awesome place to watch a Laker game, or even the freaking March Madness when it comes around. Yeah, you guys HAVE to check that place out. Too bad it's $45 a lane for 2 hours...which really isn't that bad at all.
So I'm just shopping at GAP just looking around for those great Christmas presents for myself. HA HA HA! Yeah, you know you guys do that too. Anyways some random dude starts to talk to me. It was like 2 years ago when I helped this guy push his car out of the road because his car broke down. People were honking at us and everything but we had to get his car out of the way of traffic, I even was late for work because of it. Yeah, well this random dude was Tan, the guy that I helped. I was surprised that he freaking recognized me. We just laughed at how all the cars were just honking at us and everything. It really made me feel good that I did help him out when I did. I guess that's the reward for doing good deeds, the feeling that you helped someone out. But dude was wearing a "Sony" shirt, I bet you he works at Sony. Dude, hook it up with a plasma TV!!!!
Dammit, stupid AIM. I swear that I've been contacted by numerous people thinking I'm some other person with the name of j0emama. Nope not me. Another time, I guess on Face The Jury some hot girl said that her AIM screen name was j0emama and all these freaking guys were IM'ing me saying that my picture on Face The Jury is pretty hot. Now I'm freaking getting SPAM IM's. Random people I dont' know are freaking IM'ing me with links to porn sites. Dammit. I guess it's time to only allow people on my buddy list to contact me.
Stupid Gothika movie trailer. I remember first seeing that trailer late night maybe a month ago, right before I was supposed to go to sleep. SUPPOSED to go to sleep. I freaking saw that trailer and I freaking got so scared I got out of bed and went online for a little bit to forget about that trailer. Then the newest trailer freaking scares the hell out of me when I last saw it last night late at night. WHy is it that I only see and pay attention to that commercial when It's late at night and the lights are all off.
Hooray! It's a short week!!! Thanksgiving is only a few days away. Only a 3 day work week! except for me, I think. I might actually be working Thurs-Sunday...but I dont' know, hopefully not. Anyways...hope you guys have a great short week. I'll talk to ya'll later. Such is the life of Joe...

Fat Ass
161 lbs. Damn, I'm getting heavy. I've freaking gained 11 pounds since August. It wouldn't be so bad if that was muscle because I would like to be around 160 lbs, but 160 lbs of muscle. So I need to start working out again. No, I'm not gonna start this week, or next. I'll start December 1st. Gotta lose that fat and gain back that muscle. I've only got a little less than 4 months before I go on a cruise to Mexico and so I have to get ready.
The girl from OC is hot. No, not the main character girl, but the main character girl's bitchy brunette friend. I think she's in the newest Stuff magazine. Very nice, very nice indeed.
Honestly, that freaking show "Rich Girls" on Mtv freaking pisses me off. I can feel my blood pressure rising every time I watch that show. I hate those girls so much because it seems like they think they're better than everyone. I hate it. And I know it's wrong because you shouldn't make fun of people or talk about how people look...but one of the girls on that show always has the freaking ugliest look on her face. She always has a frown on her face. Doesn't seem like a nice person at all. Hey, "That's what we do!!!" (ahhhhh...it's all better now...thanks for that saying Anna).
The next Star Wars movie isn't due until 2006, I think. Yeah, but I know it's not for a while, but I'm getting psyched for it now all because of the Star Wars Clone Wars micro-series on Cartoon Network. They show a new 5 minute part every day on Cartoon Network at 8:00 PM. If you miss it there, just go to the website and watch it. It's getting me psyched for the next Star Wars movie. It better be damn good, or else I'll be pissed.
It's freaking only Thursday tomorrow. I really wish it was the weekend already. And this weekend is shaping up to be a busy weekend. Saturday is dinner with friends I haven't seen in probably 2 years, then a birthday celebration for another friend. And on Sunday I'm gonna be spending it at my Tita's house in PV. Busy busy weekend, busy but hopefully fun. Such is the life of Joe...

You cut your hair!!!
Yeah, I cut my hair and I felt good about it. But now every time people see me they say "Awwww, you cut your hair" or "Why'd you cut your hair". Do I miss it? Not until I saw Cyril and Verwin with their flowing locks, lox, loks? last Saturday at Cici's birthday. When I saw their hair I freaking got so jealous and want to grow my hair out again. But I bet you when if I do grow it out I'll want to cute it.
Damn, the malls and starting to get busy and they all have their freaking Christmas decorations up and everything. Damn, I'm already starting to hate it. No, I don't hate Christmas and the holiday season, I love it. But I do hate shopping during the holiday season because it there are freaking too many people in there. Hopefully I can do most of my Christmas shopping online this year.
So Britney's new album comes out on Tuesday and she's all over the freaking TV. Tonight she had that ABC special, all weekend long she's had specials on MTV and VH1. Yeah, if I did listen to the new Britney album I might say that I liked it, and if I had to choose a favorite song on her album it would be track number 6, "Toxic". Yeah, but I wouldn't admit to actually listening to that album, would I???
Ok, I changed my mind on the TV I want...instead of that small puny 34" Sony TV I now want a freaking 42" or 50" plasma TV...too bad those are 2 to 3 times the cost (around $5000-$7500). Yeah....that basically means I won't be getting a new TV anytime soon. Unless my Holiday Homie/Kris Kringle is really really generous..hint hint.
New music that I just discovered and I really like. The band is called Copeland and the album is called "Beneath Medicine Tree". It's nice and relaxing and chill. Check it out if you like bands like Mae, Straylight Run, or The Early November.
So I watched my first episode of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and that show is freaking hillarious. On this episode that one fashion gay guy was all over the dude being remade. It was so freaking funny. But you know what? I'd love to be on that show, or Trading Spaces, or While You Were Out, or any of those other remodel your house shows because they get all this cool new furniture and stuff. This guy on "Queer Eye" got this awesome gas grill, it was so nice. Yeah, so maybe that's how I can get my Plasma TV. Hmmm.....
Well, here's to another week. Hopefully it'll go by really fast. Such is the life of Joe...

Anyone have an extra $2500 I can borrow???
Ok, so here's the new TV that I want. It's aSony 34" Widescreen WEGA XBR TV. Pretty damn nice, huh? Yeah, so if I put a link to paypal and ask people for money to help buy this TV (a la the infamous Give Boobs Website) do you think I'd get any money??? Yeah, me neither.
So as I was flipping through the channels one day I came across this pretty cool music channel. It's called Fuse TV and it's like MTV except that it actually plays Music Videos and not just the popular ones you see on TRL but I've seen videos from smaller bands like Moneen, Taking Back Sunday, etc. So if you have COX Digital Cable tune into channel 347 to take a look at it.
It's almost the weekend. I can't freaking wait. Tomorrow is the Scorpio party, which is always a good time because there are always familiar faces that I haven't seen in a while there. I can't wait. Such is the life of Joe...

Lord, I was born a rambling man....
Another fun filled weekend...oh how I love my friends, because without them I'd be at home doing nothing every single day. But first, I would like to wish Berto and Iya a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY today!!! YAHOO!!! Can't wait to celebrate Berto's on Friday...and Iya what're you doing??? Well, whatever it is, hope you have fun!!!
Ok, the weekend. On Friday I could've gone clubbing for Kimmy's birthday but instead watched "Matrix Revolutions" (later on Theda tells me that the place they went to just had all these hoochie girls and no guys around...DAMN!!!!) Well, was the movie good??? It was alright....I've heard from people that it was bad so I was kinda happy to watch it and find that it wasn't so bad. It wasn't great either....it was freaking slow as hell in the beginning, but then it picked up. I also got to eat Tommy's Hamburgers for the VERY FIRST TIME EVER!!! Yeah, that place is pretty damn good. Mmmmmm.....chili.
Saturday was Cici's birthday. I was looking forward to this day for a while because I knew I was gonna see people that I haven't seen in a long ass time due to trips to the Philippines, trips to New Jersey, irregular work schedules, etc. At the club I was feeling pretty good because I had some drinks in me, plus I was still hungry from dinner (I can eat my weight in sushi/seafood and still be freaking hungry....same thing always happens when I go to the Rio seafood buffet...I get sick of eating before I get satiated). It was good seeing friends but that place is way too small and too hot. The one thing that they need is a freaking patio so you can smoke and chill and get out of the heat. So instead of chilling at a patio to cool off, we just chilled outside on the sidewalk. Good times, good times. Funnest part of the night was just chilling outside with everyone (b/c everyone knows I'm not that big of a dancer), funniest part of the night was Cile scoping out girls for me to accidently bump into while we were dancing, HA!!!
- a 2 hour drive to LA in traffic is not fun
- a 1.5 hour drive back to Irvine at 2 in the morning in traffic is not fun (they closed down the 101, damn Caltrans)
- always bring a cigar with me where ever I go
- seeing everyone from the JAC crew was grand
- krispy kreme sounds so good at 3 in the morning (too bad I didn't think of that until we passed it up)
- can't wait until Friday for another birthday celebration
So every time someone comes over to our house, they HAVE to comment about our TV because it is rather small. I think it is only a 21 incher at the most and yes, watching widesreen DVD's on there is a struggle. But we're not freaking made of money!!! So here's the new rule when coming to my apartment. Anyone who says something like "you guys need a bigger TV" or "your TV is damn small" or anything like that, they owe us $1 which will go to the "buy a bigger TV fund". All proceeds will go towards buying a bigger TV for all to enjoy...donations are gratefully accepted. Checks can be made out to Joseph Carlos, thank you.
The newest piece of furniture to get on my wish list is a nice leather arm chair and matching ottoman. I've been looking online at places like Crate & Barrel or Pottery Barn and they are freaking expensive!!! $1500 for just the armchair!!! The cheapest one I could find is from IKEA and it is this Ektorp armchair. Pretty nice, huh? I can imagine myself already just relaxing on that chair watching TV with my feet up on the ottoman smoking away on a nice cigar....ahhhhhh. But yeah, I'll probably get that chair when I get the new TV...so like in 5 more years.
Am I a cheap person??? Maybe, I know we need a new TV, but really...do we NEED it??? I know I want and can afford a new queen size bed, but do I NEED it??? I know I want and can afford a nice leather armchair, but do I NEED it? Maybe that does make me sound cheap. I prefer the word "frugal". Plus, remember what Jon said: you can spend a lot of money on your friends and family and feel really good and happy about it, but if you spend just a fraction of that money on yourself, you regret it. Yeah...I can wait on those things.
Did anyone watch the new "Alias" episode tonight??? Did anyone catch the movie reference that Sydney did when she was kicking Chinese ass and using those Sai's??? Yups....I laughed when I saw that because I instantly knew that they were copying Jennifer Garner's performance as "Elektra" in "Daredevil". What a great inside joke!!! (Yeah, I know I'm a geek.)
Another show that I'm getting addicted to is "The Restaurant" on Bravo. It was on NBC before but now I'm catching all the re-runs on Bravo. Who knew that a reality show based on a restaurant would have so much drama...but it does!!! That restaurant seems so unorganized. The show basically shows all the freaking problems with the restaurant like wrong orders, forgotten orders, cold food, disgruntled employees, etc. It's a wonder that people still go to this place, but then again any publicity is good publicity. Oh yeah...I also liked what this one gay waiter guy said before quitting because he wasn't happy there: "A minute of sadness is a minute of my life wasted" (or something to that effect). I thought that was pretty insightful.
Ok, random song of the day that I was singing in my head...."Lord, I was born a rambling man...." And yes, this was a rambling blog...but I swear I started singing that long before I even started thinking of writing this much on my blog. Well, hope this keeps you entertained for the day (or days since it's so freaking long). Such is the life of Joe...

Name That Tune
As I'm working, random songs just pop into my head and I start singing them in my head. I'm working away and all of a sudden in my head I'm singing "Like a knight in shining armor/from a long time ago..." (what song, I know it...but do you?), then a Tears For Fears song to Duran Duran's "Hungry Like A Wolf", to "In the jungle, the mighty jungle...." to "Sitting at the dock of the bay...." to who knows what, just the most randomest songs in the world. But this one song freaking is bugging me because I can't figure out who sang it and what the title is. So please someone help me, I don't even think I'm gonna be spelling it correctly at all, it goes "Mr. Hobbalina, Mr. Bob Hobbalina" or something like that...what freaking song is that???!!!
Okay...how many of you guys have the newest Maxim with Jessica Alba on the cover??? I know I do. Ok, now how many of you noticed something not right with the cover? I'll give you some time to look at it and remind me to post a comment or new blog to reveal what's funny about the cover. I admit I didn't notice it at all because I spent all my attention on the beautiful picture of my girlfriend, Jessica Alba. Mmmmmmmmmmmm......
I'm feeling a lot better now after taking some Echinacea tablets, I still feel a lil sick, but I feel much better than on Monday. Hopefully I'll feel 100% by the weekend. Such is the life of Joe...

Me Tic (I'm Sick)
It was a good weekend. I got to spend it with friends which is always good. Halloween was spent chilling at Danielle's house with some friends all dressed up. I finally got a costume at lunch time on Friday and I decided on a doctor's costume. Yeah, I know....how unoriginal. Oh well. Danielle's house is so nice, great view, and I love the little garden thingie in the middle of the house. Good times with good friends.
Saturday was spent being a freaking lazy ass. I think I was feeling the onset of sickness and basically slept all day. Then I went to LA for Tin Tin's luau. A luau in 60 degree weather. But it was worth being out in the cold just to eat delicious food, chill with great friends, and laugh the night away. I was so cold that I gathered all the candles on the tables and set them in front of me to keep me warm. It worked, a little bit. That night we also got to watch the Hawaii Video that Cile made. Man, that video is so professional and so freaking awesome. GOOD JOB CILE! Freaking totally looks like Road Rules or something.
Yeah, well, hanging out in the cold caught up to me today. My freaking throat is killing me and I'm feeling very sluggish and tired. Dammit!!! Any week but this week! A friend is coming on Wednesday and there's Cici's birthday on Saturday neither of which I want to miss. I freaking hope I get better tomorrow (which I doubt) BLAH. Well, maybe there's one good thing about being a little sick. I was planning on starting to work out again but now I have an excuse not to. Damn, maybe I got sick just because I didn't wanna start working out again.
Ok, well, until next time. Such is the life of Joe...
