Procrastination
Procrastination has to be one of my biggest flaws. I'll put things off to the very last minute if I can, and sometimes even when I can't. Be it studying for a test, writing an essay, doing stuff at work, paying bills, mailing in applications, etc., I tend to wait until the last minute. Case in point...my futile attempts at finding a Halloween costume...THE DAY BEFORE HALLOWEEN.
I went to "Costume Castle" to look for a costume today. AND IT WAS A MADHOUSE!!! There were way too many people there and I really didn't feel like fighting for a costume. So what did I do? I did was any procrastinator did, walk out of the store and say to myself, "I'll find a costume someplace else". So I walked to Club Afficionado, a cigar shop, and spent money in there instead. I was just planning on buying some cigars and leaving, but the parking lot was crazy so the owner let me chill in the back room where a bar, big screen tv, and leather chairs/sofas were. Usually, this place is reserved only for members, but since the owner remembered my face, and since I paid a lot of money on my cigars, he let me chill there. I would've called up Jon and Gee, but I dont' know if he would've let them back there. Sorry guys, maybe next time.
I then decide to go to "Party City" after finishing my small cigar. There were even more people there and even less costumes. Damn this. What do I do? I do as any procrastinator does, I say to myself, "I'll buy a costume tomorrow...plenty of time" and then leave. I go into Loehmann's and freaking shop there for like half an hour leaving with a cool new sweater. I'm such a procrastinator.
So yeah, I'm not a good person when there's crowds of people. In the right setting it's alright, like if a crowd of hot girls is pushing up on me, I'm all for that. But when there's a crowd of people pushing to see what costumes are left...no thank you. It makes me wanna push you back. Maybe that's why I love going to concerts. There's a big ass crowd pushing on you and you can just push them back and they won't care (well, sometimes). You can even freaking hit people and they won't care, in fact, the same person you hit could be the first person picking you up if you happen to fall in the pit. Ahhhh...the social norms of being at a concert and being in a pit (I did a sociology paper on that once). Yeah, that would've been cool if I started pushing people in the costume shops. Starting a little pit inside a small costume store....awesome.
In summary, I have no Halloween costume yet. I'm gonna try to find one tomorrow. Anyone know where I can get red boxing gloves and a mexican wrestling mask? Yeah...didn't think so. Well, Happy Halloween everyone....hope you all are safe...but also have a lot of fun. Lemme know what you're doing, in case I just decide to be lazy. Such is the life of Joe....

Joe Shmoe
You know what show pisses me off now? It's called "Rich Girls" or something like that, no MTV. Basically cameras follow these 2 rich girls around. Yeah, that show pisses me off because the very first thing I saw was one of the "stars" of the show freaking ignoring this other girl who was trying to talk to her saying, "I don't know you...I don't talk to people I don't know". WHAT! BIATCH! Yeah, so I don't think I should watch this show or I'll freaking get pissed off at how these rich brats freaking live. Damn rich people...must be nice.
The season finale of "Joe Shmoe" on Spike TV was funny and entertaining. If you don't know what Joe Shmoe is, it's this "reality show" were the only thing real is one guy...everyone else on the reality show are actors. It's entertaining. Yeah, well, that was my Tuesday...watching TV. I wanted to blog just to blog. Blah. Such is the life of Joe....

Check Please
On TV this whole week has been "I Love The 80's Strike Back" on VH1. That's the best show ever!!! So much nostalgia!!! G.I. Joe, Jem, Trapper Keepers, Glow Worm, etc. YOU GOTTA LOVE THAT SHOW!!! Just think, in a couple of years I bet you they'll have "I Love The 90's". Damn, we're getting old. One thing though about the show. They have all these people commenting on all the stuff they show and one of those people is Mandy Moore....WHAT?! Was she even born back in 1983??? Yeah, so make sure you catch "I Love The 80's Strike Back" on VH1...you can thank me later.
You know what band's pretty good? The Strokes. Well, the new Strokes album comes out next Tuesday (I think) and yes'm they're grand. If you want to take a listen to the new album before it comes out in the stores, just go HERE.
Did ya'll see who's on the cover of the new Maxim? JESSICA ALBA!!! MMMMMMMM!!!!!! DEEEEELICIOUS!!!! That girl is so freaking hot. Yes, please!!! Just to remind you guys....my NOC List right now consists of Jessica Alba, Kristen Kreuk, and Brooke Burke...those have to be the top 3, in no particular order though. Oh yeah, after watching "I Love The 80's" Phoebe Cates has to be included into my list. Not in the top 3, not even in the top 5, but she HAS to be in there somewhere. Did you know that she's half-Filipino? Did you know that she's married to Kevin Kline some old old old guy? Damn, that sucks. Yeah, but young Phoebe Cates was hot...haven't seen her in a while though.
I think I have to agree with Jon when he said that you could spend a lot of money on your friends/family and feel good afterwards, but if you spends a fraction of that on just yourself then you regret it. I have to wholeheartedly agree with that. As long as my friends are happy that makes me happy. Yeah, so that's why I bought dinner for some people last Friday. Because I felt bad for leaving the birthday celebration and needed some cheering up. That, and also because I wanted people to feel bad for actually paying when they were just joking around. HA! Yeah, so if I buy you something, it's because I'm really trying to cheer myself up either that or because I want you to feel bad. Ummmmmmmmmmm.....what the heck am I talking about??? I think I should shut up now...
Ok, Friday finally. Anything going on tonight? If there is gimmie a call. Anything going on this weekend??? If there is gimmie a call. Well, I am going to my cousin's baby shower on Saturday. Hopefully that'll be fun....ehhhhhhhhhh, at least there'll be food there. Such is the life of Joe...

Weekend
One of the shows that I can't stand, that shouldn't even be on the air, is that stupid Paparazzi show on E! called "celebrities uncovered" which is basically all footage of paparazzi just stalking and harassing movie/music/sports stars. I can't stand that show. Yet, this past Sunday at Sea World I almost played the part of paparrazi. I went to Sea World on Sunday and while we were waiting for the Shamu show I noticed this hot black chick walk in....then I looked at the guy that she was with, and he looked soooo familiar. Then I realized he was an actor...but I couldn't figure out his name...Taye Diggs? No...it's the guy from ER and "O"...OHHHHHH Mekai Phifer!!! Awesome!!! I think we were the only ones to really notice him and Theda too a couple long distance pictures of him paparrazi style. One of Theda's friends asked him if they could get a picture with him, but he said he wasn't taking pictures at all today. Which is very understandable since he was with his family. Yeah, but it was so bad because there were people just sticking their cameras in his face and taking pictures. Man, that freaking sucks. Yeah, we ran into him again at the Manatee Exhibit and the girls I was with were so freaking excited...okay, okay, I must admit...I think I got caught up in the excitement too but that's really my first star sighting ever.
Saturday I went to Pacific Beach in San Diego for the first time. I've always heard that it's a really cool place to go to. They were right. PB Bar and Grill was freaking packed. The dance floor there reminded me of all the shows I've seen on Spring Break in Cancuun or some place in Mexico for some reason. Pretty nice place, I have to go there again sometime. And the next time I go there I'll call up Jon....I promise! HA!
BJ's on Friday for Theda's birthday was fun. HA HA HA!!! Yeah, so we were waiting a long time to get seated and so other people like JON suggested we go to IHOP to eat. Cool...I'll sneak off to IHOP and come back and chill after we're finished eating. Too bad that I got caught leaving. Yeah, Theda looked pissed when I left after telling her I was going to IHOP (HA! I still left!!! that's pretty damn funny...when you think back on it). It was good times at IHOP just listening to stories, gossip, etc. with the oldies. I thought Theda was gonna be mad at me when we went back...but I was wrong. Oh well, at least this is just the first time that I've dissed her. HA!
Well, that was pretty much my weekend. Now I get to look forward to this coming weekend. Such is the life of Joe...

Bigger Breasts
Note to self...if you want to watch Monday Night Football at Hooters, especially when the Raiders are playing, GO FREAKING EARLY! Yeah, we should've realized that, but being the optimists that we are we decdided to go to Hooters in Long Beach to have some beer, get some wings, and watch the game. Why Long Beach you ask? Well, because the Newport One is kinda small and we figured that Long Beach is halfway between Torrance and Irvine (for the benefit of Jevon). Yeah, too bad that it's more like LB is 10 minutes away from Torrance and 45 minutes away from Irvine. Yeah, so by the time we got there the game was almost to halftime, and it was packed. We freaking waited there for like an hour or so before we realized we weren't gonna get in any time soon. So we decided to go to Roscoe's instead since we were in Long Beach already. Roscoe's was alright....now don't get me wrong...any other night I would've been dying to go to Roscoe's, but I was craving those Hooters Chicken Wings and a nice beer so bad that night. Mmmmmm....breasts..bigger breasts....I mean wings. HA!
That reminds me of one of the funniest commercials out there right now. It's for Jack in the Box "chicken breast pieces". I guess that Jack's in a meeting to come up with a tag-line to promote his new bigger chicken breast pieces...so he's thinking out loud..."hmmm....big breast, bigger breast, tender breast, the biggest breasts...." and the guys in the meeting are just laughing and freaking trying to hold it in until one of them raises his hand to make a suggestion and Jack just says "Don't Go There". HA! So freaking funny.
Oh yeah....last night I had the greatest idea ever! It'd be so freaking fun! Too bad that not everyone would think it's fun and because of that I will not reveal my idea.
Berto..what's wrong with your freaking website...and where the hell have you been online?
Well, I promised a recap of my weekend, but I'll save that for tomorrow...such is the life of Joe...

New Entry for the new workweek
Damn, it's been a while...it's been way too long. 6 days since I last wrote on this blog. I think I've just gotten way too lazy to update it. So here's a new entry for the new workweek.
I could care less about the World Series because I hate both teams. Damn those Cubs for losing, ditto to those Red Sox...I guess both of those teams are really cursed. I'm just waiting for the news to report that one Cubs fan to be found dead at his home one day. Yeah...I feel sorry for that guy. I hear his whole life has turned to crap just because he made a mistake that the dozen other people around him would've made if he wasn't there.
Finally the freaking Niners are actually playing football now. Not only are they throwing the ball and T.O. is actually trying, they got their running game going (well, at least for todays game). Yeah....undefeated for the rest of the season! LETS GO NINERS!!! (oh yeah, I'd be so thankful to anyone who could get me a Niners Jack Head from Jack In The Box, that'd be peachy keen...thanks Jenn!)
Sometimes I think to myself why my friends are my friends. What do they freaking see in me that makes them want to keep my company or hang around me? I know I'm not a very good conversationalist, I know I'm not the ladies man, and I know I do stupid things like forget to invite people places, forgetting to call people, never calling some people, forgetting to pick people up, ditching people on their birthday. So yeah....sorry Jon for not calling you this weekend, sorry Theda for everything I do, and sorry Belle for calling you Tinz sometimes, sorry Cile for calling you a bitch sometimes, and yeah....sorry to everyone else that I know I've messed up with. Yeah...it amazes me that I actually have friends. But I guess that's why they're my friends. They can overlook my stupidity and still be friends with me. But why? What do I offer them? Oh well....I guess it's one of those questions that can never be answered like "what came first, the chicken or the egg" or "if there's no one in the forest and a tree falls, does it make a sound" or "what's 2 + 2".
Birthday's galore. First Happy Belated Birthday to my lil sis Theda!!! Happy 23rd birthday!!! BJ's Pizza was grand and the weekend was grand too. Next Happy Birthday to my "girlfriend" Elaine Grepo!!! Hope you have a great birthday!!!
Okay...tomorrow or the next day I'll write about this weekend so this entry won't be so long and so I can actually have something to write about. It was a grand weekend. Such is the life of Joe...

Charlie Brown. HA! Get it?
Kill Bill kicks so much ass. I watched it once again on Sunday and it was sgood once again. But it did seem a lot shorter the 2nd time around. Ever since watching that movie I'm addicted to watching and finding new Japanese movies to watch. Yeah, I watched "Battle Royale" again...and again, since that's the only Japanese movie that I have and that I really like. Yeah...so all you guys that liked "Kill Bill" I highly recommend watching "Battle Royale". I also wanna check out some old school Bruce Lee movies and watch "True Romance" once again since I totally didn't catch the reference to that movie when Uma put on the sunglasses. Yeah...sgood.
Yeah, I'm highly addicted to cigars. I swore to myself that I would stop buying cigars until I smoke more of the ones that I have in my humidor. But nope, that didn't happen. When I went to the Block to watch "Kill Bill" the first time on Friday I stopped by Cohiba's (the cigar shop there) and bought 2 cigars even though I brought 2 of my own to smoke from home!!! I smoked one of the cigars I just bought and I was saving the other one to smoke with Joe de los since he was gonna be at the Block too. Too bad I didnt' have enough time since the movie started. Sorry Joe...hi Riann! Yeah, and on Sunday when we went to the Block to watch "Kill Bill" once again I stopped by the cigar shop and smoked and chilled at Cafe Tu Tu Tango just smoking. Ahhhhh...one of my things...so relaxing.
Yeah...so I'm thinking about going to Fox Sports Grill during lunch or after work one day and just chilling there smoking a cigar...I heard they have a cigar balcony/lounge thing and I wanna check it out sometime.
Sunday was a good day. Not only did I get to watch "Kill Bill" again, but I got to eat Roscoe's! Mmmmmmmm....dee-licious. Roscoe's on Pico! That is such a nice neighborhood! I love it! HA! I remember the first time I went to that Roscoe's was like at night one night and I was so freaking scared. But it's not that bad at all during the day. Yeah and along with Roscoe's I got to see Jenn from up North who I don't see enough of...she just needs to move down South already. Such is the life of Joe...

Kill Bill
YOU HAVE TO WATCH THIS MOVIE!!!! It kicks so much ass. Definitely NOT for the weak at heart and for people who don't like the sight of blood...but it's damn entertaining. I'm down to watch it again....and again, and again...so call me up if you're gonna watch it!!!

It's Okay, I Had Subway
L&L....I'm addicted. Okay, I only went there 2 times in 4 days, but yeah...SGOOD!!! Chicken Katsu...sgood.
I'm freaking so sore right now. I can't lift my arms higher than my shoulders without them hurting. SGOOD. Yes, SGOOD. First time really working out since Hawaii...which is about 2 months. I put on like about 7 pounds (i'm up to 157 right now) so time to just work out...not so much to lose weight...just to somewhat keep the muscle mass. No more Atkins for me (sorry Jay and Cici) since I need a little fat to keep me warm in the cold winter months, plus you got Thanksgiving (mmmm...stuffing), Christmas, and other celebrations in the coming months. No Atkins for me until February or so. Besides...it's okay, I had Subway for lunch.
Damn my boredom!!! So I get bored...and I go online to Marvel Comics web site just because I haven't been there in a long time...and I freaking read all their solicitations for current/future and comics that some comics that I've missed. DAMMIT!!! WRONG MOVE!!! Now I'm freaking fiending to buy some comics! Especially New X-Men which was one of my favorite comics before I stopped collecting...and I read that a freaking BLOCKBUSTER event happened that I missed! DAMMIT!
Kill Bill comes out on Friday!!! I bet you there's gonna be midnight showings on Thursday...and maybe even 10PM showings on Thursday like they had for other big movies like X2 and LOTR:The Two Towers. Yeah, I'm excited. Who wants to watch??!!! Who wants to set up movie times and get people together to watch because I'm too lazy?! 1.....2.....3.....NOT IT! Such is the life of Joe....

It has to be the weather
Yeah, this whole rash of "deep" blogs about the direction of people's lives and people reflecting on their past and future decisions HAS to be because of the weather. This gloomy, cold, weather I guess makes people a little depressed...and a little introspective...and most of all LAZY!!!
I got up at freaking 7:00 this morning...but since it was so cold and felt so nice and snuggly in my bed with my blankets and everything...I stayed in there for another 1.5 hours! HA HA HA! Blame it on the weather! And you know what I wanna do when I get home??? I just wanna jump in bed and freaking sleep! Yeah, but if something is going on tonight don't hesitate to call...but I'll be nice and warm in my comfy bed! Ahhhhhhh.....
Is it just me? Or did this freaking week seem 2 weeks long? And did Friday seem like a week long to you? I swear time has never moved as slow as today. I think it might have to do with the weather, but it also has to do with the fact that I had pretty much nothing to do today. Sucks huh? Yeah, you're telling me.
I love "SCRUBS" on NBC. The funniest show ever! EVER!
Did anybody know that L&L on Walnut is open already!!! (I'm sure Berto did, but anyone else?)HOORAY!!! I didn't know and accidentally drove by it during lunch today...I would've gone in for some chicken katsu, spam musubi, or loco moco...but it was so damn crowded in there. Anyone up for L&L this weekend? Mmmmmmm.....sgood.
Well, to the weekend! Ahhhhh....if nothing else happens this weekend, then sleep will be good...no, it'll be "sgood". Such is the life of Joe...

What the hell am I talking about???
Hooray!!! It's Friday!!! I love Fridays! I love the weekend! The weekend means not having to work and relaxing and maybe kicking back and smoking a cigar or two. Ahhhhhhh... Do I have plans? Not really...but I'll do what comes up.
Dammit...can someone please tell me where the new "Scarface Widescreen Collectors Edition" DVD is?!! I've searched two Targets and a freaking Circuit City to no avail. I was too lazy to go to Best Buy but I assumed that it would be sold out there too.
I was gonna go along with the whole rash of people commenting on how much they question the direction of their lives, careers, etc. Yes, I totally agree with all of them. I think it's the whole quarter-century crisis thingie (I know some of you aren't there yet...but you're close). Yeah, but that's all I have to say about that.
Ahhhhh...cold weather is the best. I love it so much. I love it because it makes you feel so warm inside. Ironic? The cold making you feel so warm inside? You know that feeling I'm talking about. The feeling you get when you hear holiday music, or sit in front of a fireplace, etc. Yeah....you don't get that during the summer....because the heat of the summer covers up that warm feeling inside you. Yeah...cold weather makes me feel alive.
I don't know what's wrong with me...I think you other bloggers have given me your laziness. This entry was just an entry to put something down for you guys to read...I didn't really have anything to say. Such is the life of Joe...
