Say Cheese!!!
Ok, now I remembered what I was gonna write about last entry. I was gonna ask you guys, if you take pictures at funerals? Weird question, huh? I obviously thought that you wouldn't want to take pictures at a funeral, but I swear, of all the funerals I've been to on my Mom's side (my Mom, my Grandmother, and my Grandfather) they bust out freaking cameras and take pictures!!! What in the world is that about? Do I smile in the pictures??? Do I look sad in the pictures?
Yeah, you might be thinking that sure, taking pictures of all the family there, all dressed up and everything would be a nice moment. BUT AT A FUNERAL!? My Tita's and Cousins were taking pictures of them and us next to the open casket! They were taking pictures of my Grandfather in the casket! Who wants to see these pictures???!!!! I know that in my Tita's house there is a whole album dedicated to my Mom's funeral....I looked at that album by accident once...and I swear I will never look at the album ever again. If someone opens that photoalbum up, you'll see me move to the next room. Yeah, but why the hell would you want to take pictures at a funeral? Don't you wanna remember the deceased as they were when they were alive...not as they were lying there in a casket?
I thought that it was just something the Melocoton's (my Mom's side of the family) does...but then I saw this Filipino movie once and they were taking pictures at a funeral and so I thought to myself, maybe it's a Filipino thing? I don't know....it's weird to me. Such is the life of Joe....

Circle Of Life
So Saturday was the funeral for my Grandfather and it was a good time. A Funeral being a good time?! What in the world?! But yeah, it was a good time. I think it was a good time because we were celebrating his life and not mourning his death. And hanging out with the family is always a great time especially now that we're mostly grown up and we can joke around with each other. Yeah, but it was good hanging out with Dad, the Tita's, Tito's, and cousins.
Yeah, the circle of life. There's no better example than in my family. The end of life for one person (my grandfather) and the start of life for another (my cousin Kathy is pregnant and is due in a couple months). It was like that when my Mom died also. My Tita Bing Bing was pregnant with my cousin Pia and she gave birth to her like a month after my Mom died....the circle of life.
Thank you to whoever texted me about the Hillary Duff BDay special being on again today. Alas, I didn't get the message since I was stupidly watching "There's Something About Mary" on DVD. I totally didn't know that they were gonna show it tonight on FOX...but yeah, I missed the Hillary Duff BDay special once again. DAMMIT! Did someone tape it!? Yeah, but I love that the Fall TV season is starting up again! ALIAS kicks ass!!! YEYER!!! WORD!!! Such is the life of Joe...

Joe Mamma
Today I got my box of Montecristo #2's!!! HELL YEAH! Now my freaking humidor is stuffed with cigars, I have 43 cigars in there. I promise no more cigar buying...well, I PROMISE to only buy 1 cigar if/when I do happen to go into a cigar shop (unless I go to Beverages and More because if you buy 4 cigars, the next one is only 1 cent!!!). Yeah, I plan to age hopefully like 5 of them for a year or so and see how nice they are after that.
Check out this shirt that Rita found!!! Too bad it's a baby-t for girls. HA! Rita said that I should buy it anyways so that my "muscles will bulge out" HA HA HA! See Rita doesn't hate me!

Well, that's it for now. My weekend starts on Friday because I'm not going to work to take care of family stuff. Have a great weekend people. Have a great time to those going to Santa Barbara...I know you guys'll miss me. HA! I'm conceded...conceited...conseeded? Such is the life of Joe...

G'Bye Tommy
First off, let me thank Chris for calling a Roscoe's outing tonight and fulfilling my Roscoe's craving that I've had for a couple days. Good times with good people...and Roscoe's is soooooooooooooo freaking good.
Do I look like Tommy to some people? I guess I do because after Roscoe's tonight in LB as we were saying our goodbyes and Cici starts to say "Bye Tom..." as she was saying goodbye to me! What in the world! This isn't the first time. I've been called Tommy on a number of occassions mostly during my college years (and most especially by Jenn for some reason), but I haven't been called Tommy in like 3 years at least! I guess it's just because we're roommates and are usually seen together. Oh well...
So before I went to Roscoe's, I freaking made sure that I put a tape in to record the "Hillary Duff Birthday Special" on the WB. Too bad that when I got home the VCR didn't record!!! DAMMIT! So please tell me that someone (i.e. Berto) taped that show! I really want to watch it....I mean, Chris really wants to watch it! Help a brother out!
Hmmmm....I've been thinking. Should I cut my hair? Yeah...just wondering what you guys think (hopefully you'll say yes). Such is the life of Joe...

I'm A "2"
From an email Chris sent me:
Your birth date describes who we are, what we are good at and what our inborn abilities are. It also points to what we have to learn and the challenges we are facing. To figure out your Birth Number, add all the numbers in the birth date together like in the example until there there is only one digit...

A Birth Number does not prevent you from being > anything you want to be, it will just color your choice differently and give you a little insight. Once you have discovered your Birth Number, forward this email to the rest of your friends, including the one who sent this to you ...Have fun!
Example: March 20, 1950: 3 + 20 + 1950 = 1973 = 1 + 9 + 7 + 3 = 20 = 2
+ 0 = 2. 2 is the Birth Number to read for the birthdate in the
example. See below for who you are: Your number is _____,
#1 THE ORIGINATOR, #2 THE PEACEMAKER, #3 THE LIFE OF THE PARTY, #4 THE
CONSERVATIVE, #5 THE NONCONFORMIST, #6 THE ROMANTIC, #7 THE INTELLECTUAL, #8 THE BIG SHOT, #9 THE PERFORMER. See below for explanation:

My birthdate= December 2, 1977 which makes me a "2":

# 2 - THE PEACEMAKER - 2's are the born diplomats. They are aware of others' needs and moods and often think of others before themselves. Naturally analytical and very intuitive they don't like to be alone. Friendship and companionship is very important and can lead them to be successful in life, but on the other hand they'd rather be alone than in an uncomfortable relationship. Being naturally shy they should learn to boost their self-esteem and express themselves freely and seize the moment and not put things off... Famous 2's: President Bill Clinton, Madonna, WhoopeeGoldberg, Thomas Edison, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

THAT IS SOOO TRUE! WOW! CRAZY!!! Ok, just wanted to share w/ you guys out there without forwarding it to everyone.

Here are the rest for you curious people:
1 - THE ORIGINATOR - 1's are originals. Coming up with new ideas and executing them is natural. Having things their own way is another trait that gets them as being stubborn and arrogant. 1's are extremely honest and do well to learn some diplomacy skills. They like to take the initiative and are often leaders or bosses, as they like to be the best. Being self-employed is definitely helpful for them. Lesson to learn: Others' ideas might be just as good or better and to stay open minded. Famous 1's: Tom Hanks, Robert Redford,Hulk Hogan, Carol Burnett, Wynona Judd, Nancy Reagan, and Raquel Welch.

# 3 - THE LIFE OF THE PARTY -3's are idealists. They are very creative, social, charming, romantic, and easygoing. They start many things, but don't alwayssee them through. They like others to be happy and go to great lengths to achieve it. They are very popular and idealistic . They should learn to see the world from a more realistic point of view. Famous 3's: Alan Alda, Ann Landers, Bill Cosby, Melanie Griffith, Salvador Dali, and Jodi Foster.

# 4 - THE CONSERVATIVE - 4's are sensible and traditional. They like order and routine... They only act when they fully understand what they are expected to do. They like getting their hands dirty and working hard. They are attracted to the outdoors and feel an affinity with nature. They are prepared to wait and can be stubborn and persistent. They should learn to be more flexible and to be nice to themselves. Famous 4's: Neil Diamond, Margaret Thatcher, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tina Turner, Paul Hogan, and Oprah Winfrey.

# 5 - THE NONCONFORMIST - 5's are the explorers. Their natural curiosity, risk taking, and enthusiasm often land them in hot water. They need diversity, and don't like to be stuck in a rut. The whole world is their school and they see a learning possibility in every situation. The questions never stop. They are well advised to look before they take action and make sure they have all the facts before jumping to conclusions.Famous 5's: Abraham Lincoln, Charlotte Bronte, Jessica Walter, Vincent Van Gogh,Bette Midler, Helen Keller and Mark Hamil.

# 6 - THE ROMANTIC - 6's are idealistic and need to feel useful to be happy. A strong family connection is important to them. Their emotions Influence their decisions. They have a strong urge to take care of others and to help. They are very loyal and make great teachers. They like art or music. They make loyal friends who take the friendship seriously. 6's should learn to differentiate between what they can change and what they cannot. Famous 6's: Albert Einstein, Jane Seymour, John Denver, Meryl Streep, Christopher Columbus, and Goldie Hawn.

# 7 -THE INTELLECTUAL - 7's are the searchers. Always probing for hidden information, they find it difficult to accept things at face value. Emotions don't sway their decisions. Questioning everything in life, they don't like to be questioned themselves. They're never off to a fast start, and their motto is slow and steady wins the race. They come across as philosophers and being very knowledgeable, and sometimes as loners. They are technically inclined and make great researchers uncovering information. They like secrets. They live in their own world and should learn what is acceptable and what not in the world at large... Famous 7's: William Shakespeare, Lucille Ball,Michael Jackson, Joan Baez, and Princess Diana.

# 8 - THE BIG SHOT - 8's are the problem solvers. They are professional, blunt andto the point, have good judgment and are decisive. They have grand plans and like to live the good life. They take charge of people. They view people objectively. They let you know in no uncertain terms that they are the bosses. They should learn to exude their decisions on their own needs rather than on what others want. Famous 8's: Edgar Cayce, Barbara Streisand, George Harrison, Jane Fonda, Pablo Picasso, Aretha Franklin, and Nostrodamus.

9 - THE PERFORMER - 9's are natural entertainers. They are very caring and generous, giving away their last dollar to help. With their charm, they have no problem making friends and nobody is a stranger to them. They have so many different personalities that people around them have a hard time understanding them. They are like chameleons, ever changing and blending in. They have tremendous luck, but also can suffer from extremes in fortune > and mood. To be successful, they need to build a loving foundation. Famous 9's: Albe rt Schweitzer, Shirley MacLaine, Harrison Ford, Jimmy Carter, and Elvis Presley.

P.S. - I have the biggest craving for ROSCOES CHICKEN AND WAFFLES right now!!! When's the next outing???!!! Such is the life of Joe...

I Can't Stop!!!
Dammit!!! I can't stop! I'm addicted! Somebody help me!!! I swear if I see a cigar shop I HAVE to go in there and then I'll spend at LEAST $40 on cigars!!!! The last time I went to South Coast Plaza's Crystal Court I went into the "Tinder Box" cigar shop there...and freaking spent $100 there!!! Today I was shopping for a suit and in the same plaza was a freaking cigar shop called "Club Aficionado" I freaking spent $40 there!!! And I haven't even smoked all the cigars that I bought in the "Tinder Box". Yeah...so if you see me...stop me. I think I need an intervention.
   So my top cigar places:
1. Club Aficionado - Lake Forest: I just found this place today. It is sooooooo nice. It sells cigars and wine and it also has a Cigar Club. There's the usual walk in humidor with a nice selection of cigars but then they have cigar lockers for club members and also in the back they have a smoking room with a bar, big screen tv, nice leather chairs to lounge in, and weekly events like jazz bands, casino night, etc. It's an awesome place that would be great if you wanted to network since their members are probably business men/women, doctors, lawyers, and other sorts of professionals.
2. Tinder Box - South Coast Plaza Crystal Court - Costa Mesa: Nice shop with 2 walk in humidors and the biggest selection out there. They sell the higher end brands like Davidoff if you wanna spend the money. They have a huge selection of accessories (lighters, cutters, humidors, etc.)
3. Cigar Haven - Irvine: Nice shop with a good selection.
Ok, I'm gonna stop. I have 20 cigars in my humidor so I think I'm good for the year. I promise I'll stop. Or at least try....such is the life of Joe....

Is it just me???
Everytime death affects my life I have the same reaction, I experience the same emotions. Sadness, guilt, anger... Sadness of course because that person has passed away. Sadness then turns to guilt and anger....guilt and anger for not spending as much time as I could've with that person. Guilt and anger for all the bad things that I've done to them. Guilt and anger for all the things that I didn't get to do with them and then ironically guilt and anger for feeling guilty or angry at yourself because that's just being selfish and you shouldn't be thinking about yourself. You should be thinking about the person who just passed away.
Maybe that's why I deal with death by not dealing with it, by just not thinking about it. By just loving the fact that at work you are swamped and always busy, by surfing the web, by writing blogs...anything to really get your mind off it.
My favorite song on the Saves The Day "In Reverie" album is "In Reverie" It's very happy-go-lucky skip-through-the-park kinda song. Very sing-along-ish. I like it...I like it alot. Just wanted to share.
I apologize to Berto and all you's for ditching out on the Vegas trip. I really want to go...but I'm probably gonna go to visit my family in Palos Verdes this weekend. Have fun and yeah....have fun. Such is the life of Joe...

What The Hell Did I Do???
Um...yeah so, what the hell did I do? Why the hell is my lil sis, Theda, so freaking mad at me? Is she trying to make me feel bad or something? If she is, then it's working. Is she trying to get back at me for the joke that John John, Me, and Sherwin (HA HA HA!) did on her? Then why is she only mad at me?! John John was the one tricking her and lying to her!!! I know that I make fun of her all the time but "that's what we do". HA! No seriously, I thought that's how we've always been. We joke around and make fun of each other, knowing that we aren't serious. I don't think any of what I do or say is crossing the line at all. If I do cross the line then just tell me! Don't just not talk to me or turn away from me when I'm gonna give you a hug goodbye. Yeah, she's probably just joking around with me...hopefully...such is the life of Joe...

New Music Tuesday
So today is the day that Thursday's new album "War All The Time", and Saves The Day's new album "In Reverie" come out. What do I think of them?! Here ya go:
Saves The Day - In Reverie
I know I've said this probably a million times but "it sounds a lot more poppier" or "it's starting to sound more Weezerish". Yeah, nothing wrong with that but I was really taken aback when I heard this album. I know that their 2nd album, Through Being Cool, was a departure from their first album, Can't Slow Down, and Stay What You Are was also surprisingly different from "TBC" but when I first heard all those previously mentioned albums I said to myself "this album is freaking awesome!!!" Not so with this album. But that doesn't mean it's a bad album....it's just different. There are some songs that sound freaking Beatle-ish which isn't bad at all...just different that I expected. I've actually started to like this album more and more and more as I keep on listening to it and getting used to it....so maybe in a week or so I'll be totally in love with this album. But that being said...this album is still 100 times better than most of the other crappy ass "Simple Plan" "Good Charlotte" crap out there right now.
Thursday - War All The Time
Awesome!!! I love it! I guess that my musical taste is more in the harder music and the edge, power, and "punk" that I missed on the Saves The Day album is more than made up for in this album. When I first heard it I said to myself "this album is freaking awesome!!!" Yeah....as good as their previous album "Full Collapse"???? Not really...but it does seem angrier and louder which is surprising since they're now on a major label. Yeah...I love it. I like it alot. Check it out if you need to get aggression out.

So guess what's on TV next Wednesday on the WB??? It's a concert/birthday celebration for Hillary Duff (I guess her birthday is coming up or something? I don't know...I'll ask Berto). Yeah it's called the Hillary Duff's Birthday Special. HA!!! I feel sorry for the losers that are gonna watch that! (Berto...I'll be over with the VHS tape so we can tape it and I think Chris is coming along too. HA!!!) I mean....yeah....
Ok, that's it for now....I'll try to blog tomorrow again. I have a list of things I wanna blog about and don't wanna write a long ass blog so that's it until tomorrow. Such is the life of Joe....

I'm An Ass
I love doing nothing. I really really love doing nothing. It's the best thing in the world to do nothing...especially if you're doing nothing with friends. That's basically what I did this weekend. I went camping at Lake Cachuma with the old roomies, some of CBC, and the San Jose Peeps. Good times, good times. The only bad part was that there was no real time to just chill in silence with your own thoughts and looking at the stars...because the moon was way too bright and blocking out all the stars. Oh well....until next time. Pictures are up on the pictures page.
Oh yeah....I'm an ass. Did you know that? Yeah, I made Rita cry right before we left. No, not because she was sad to see me go. I made her cry because I freaking kidney punched her. I guess that I hit her pretty hard. Damn, I really don't know my own strength because I didn't think I hit her that hard. Yeah, but she started to cry....and yeah, I felt bad because this was the second time I've made her cry. The other time was 4 or so years ago when I got her in the "Boston Crab". Yeah, I'm an ass. It's not out of anger or any malicious intent...i got nothing but love, but it's just because I think of her as one of the guys....but yeah...I'm sorry...I'm such an ass.
The start of another work week, then Vegas. Mmmmmm...Vegas. Good thing I gets paid tomorrow because I'm gonna be broke at the end of the week!!! Such is the life of Joe...

War All The Time
You HAVE to listen to Thursday - War All The Time. The new Thursday album comes out on September 16th!!!! The same day that the new Saves The Day album comes out!!! Can it be that Joe will be buying 2 CD's on the same day!!! WHAT IN THE WORLD! Yeah, but that's awesome. Thursday is another one of my favorite bands. You can listen to the whole album on MTV.com Thursday - War All The Time.
Yay!!! The weekend!!! What does the weekend hold for me? Although I've been wanting to just chill and do nothing this weekend, last weekend, and future weekends, it doesn't seem like I'll be able to do that. This weekend means going to Lake Cachuma and camping with the old roomies/San Jose whores. It'll be good times and I can't wait to get under those stars once again and just chill. Good times.
Looks like I'm gonna be missing the birthday party of Ms. Riann Reyes. I'm really really sorry and I would love to be there but I have prior commitments to go to. Just make sure you take lots of pictures. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! (but isn't your birthday later on in the week??? i don't know...just wondering). HAPPY BIRTHDAY anyways!!! Have a great time singing your ass off at Howl At The Moon and don't get too "feded" too early!!! HA!!!
That's it for now....talk to you guys on Sunday or Monday. If you need me call me. If not...then don't. I wonder if I'll be back home for the Niner game??? DAMMIT!! I hope so!!! Such is the life of Joe...

No two people are not on fire
HA HA HA!!! That's so freaking hillarious!!! You have to see the newest Strong Bad Email. HA HA HA!!!
The weather is getting cooler and cooler by the day. And I LOVE IT!!! Yes, I have to echo the sentiments of lil Jay and say that I LOVE COLD WEATHER!!! Weird huh? I LOVE the beach and wouldn't mind spending every single day there. But weather wise...I love fall/winter, I love cold weather. What would you rather be spending the day in? And I'm talking about a normal day...not at the beach, not in the mountains, just a normal day. So would you rather spend your day in a hot 95 degree day, or a crisp 65 degree day? Give me the 65 degree day anytime (except when I go to the beach). Hmmmm..I don't think I'm making sense here, but yeah...I love cold weather. Maybe I'm a cold weather person since I was born in December....and also because I was born in a cold area, Baltimore Maryland. Yeah....
I made a mistake, I thought that the Saves The Day album came out yesterday. I was wrong...it comes out next Tuesday the 16th. Oh well....that's just 6 more days away.
So I finally got my new Xikar Xi cigar cutter (the silver one). And of course I had to test it out. Dammit!!! That means freaking smoking another cigar since I'm gonna cut on anyways. Yeah, so that's the second cigar that I've smoked this week. I just chilled in the backyard smoking and alone with my thoughs. Kinda peaceful. Yeah, but that's enough cigars for me. At least for this week.
And finally...I'm gonna be an Uncle!!! HOORAY!!! No, no...my brother isn't pregnant. HA! My cousin Kathy is pregnant and having a baby girl. Yay!!! I'm so excited!!! I can't wait...that's what's been missing at all the holidays, a baby/little kid running around. My little neice is guaranteed to be a cutie because my cousin (obviously) is Filipino and her husband is White....so that equals a good combination. I don't care if you take the ugliest Filipino and ugliest White person and they have a baby, that baby is gonna turn out good looking.
Ok, that's it for now....tomorrow is Thursday, 2 more days until the weekend. I can't wait. Such is the life of Joe...

Tuesday, September 09, 2003

Rather be here, than anywhere with you.
What does the title mean? It's just the chorus to Saves The Day's first single "Anywhere with You". So tomorrow Saves The Day's new album "In Reviere" comes out. Am I gonna buy it? HELL YEAH! This will be the first CD I've bought since...hmmmm...since Saves The Day's last album, "Stay What You Are" came out in 2001. Best Buy has it for freaking $12.99!!! DAMN!!! That's a grip 'o money!!! Oh well...hopefully Target will have it for cheaper.
Speaking of Best Buy. I never freaking knew that there was a Best Buy off of Lake Forrest Drive. That's only 5 minutes from work. I used to drive all the way down to the Best Buy in Laguna Niguel off of Oso Parkway which is 15 minutes from work, just to buy some DVD's at lunch. I'd waste my whole lunch just to buy DVD's. And all of a sudden I discover there's a Best Buy 5 minutes away! Man, do I feel stupid.
San Francisco 49ers. My Favorite Football team....they did alright on Sunday. They only won by 42 points against the Bears 49-7. Only??? Yeah, I said only because Niners really couldn't convert in the "red zone". They should've had a couple more touchdowns (replacing 2 field goals) and it should've been 57-7. Well, we'll see how good we do against the Rams next week. Did I ever tell you I love football season? Man, just sitting at home on Sunday doing nothing all day but watching TV and screaming at the TV. It's freaking awesome.
So this weekend I'm supposed to go camping. But again, this weekend is a friend's birthday celebration. Hmmmm...decisions decisions. Maybe I'll cut camping short and show up on Saturday night at my friend's birthday. Or maybe I'll be too lazy to drive all that way. I dunno. But speaking of birthdays. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAN!!! (sorry I'm a day late) and HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHAWN 26??? DAMN you're freaking old!!! HA HA HA!!! Hope your birthday wishes come true and you have a great day. Such is the life of Joe...

Michael Hunt
So my plan to do nothing and stay home wasn't really accomplished. I actually went out today. But I really didn't do anything...I just went to the beach. That doesn't really count, does it? Well, Jon and I met up Lou, Belle, John John, and Ed at Salt Creek Beach in Dana Point. Freaking Dana Point!!! I didn't realize how South we were!!! But that beach is so freaking nice...the waves are perfect there for surfing/boogie boarding...plus all the girls running around in their bikinis. Not just any girls...there are South OC girls. "This is the OC bitch!!!" HA HA HA! Good times at the beach and I caught a huge wave...my one and only wave. I guess it was kinda big, maybe 3-4 foot??? I was on top of it and just dropped 4 feet onto the shore and then rode it all the way in. I'm so lucky I didn't break anything. A lifeguard saw me and asked if I was alright, Lou saw me and was all smiling because I guess it looked crazy, yeah...I got scared after that. But good times at the beach nonetheless.
Friday night was entertaining as well. I did laundry but also got to chat online. Exciting? Actually it was....John John and I played a joke on Theda! HA HA HA! SOOOOO Funny!!! John John IM'ed her and she had no idea who it was. We were stringing her along and John John told her that he was "Michael Hunt, but his friends call him Mike for short" HA HA HA! Get it? "Mike Hunt" (say it out loud and you'll laugh) HA HA HA!!! Funny thing is that Theda didn't get it. Yeah, but after she found out we were playing a trick on her she wouldn't IM me back. She was pretending to be mad at me for playing a trick on her. It was supposed to make me feel guilty...but you know what? It just made the trick like 10,000 times better...knowing that she actually might be mad at me! HA HA HA! So thanks Theda and John John for entertaining me Friday night.
Well, hopefully tomorrow I'll actually do nothing except sleep and go to church. Such is the life of Joe...

Loner
Damn, I don't know what it is. I don't know if it's because I'm lazy or just because I need to get some laundry done and clean up my room, but I seriously don't want to do a damn thing this weekend. I just wanna sit at home and watch TV. I know I do that every day of the week, but there's something about doing it on a weekend that just relaxes you. I think it started last weekend when I made the 5 hour drive to and from San Jose all by my lonesome, I think that got me back in my "loner" mode. So I apologize everyone out there if you don't see me this weekend. I'll be hiding at home. I know you guys'll miss me. =P Such is the life of Joe...

The Funniest Thing Ever
Just a little update, since I have absolutely nothing to blog about. So today at Lunch I saw the funniest thing in the world. HA HA HA! Okay, that's it. Talk to you laters. Such is the life of Joe...

What was I gonna say???
First off, Happy Birthday Mr. Lou Lavarro. Secondly, I freaking hate when all day long you have all this stuff to blog about, but when you finally get a chance to blog you forget! Dammit! I hate that!!! Well, here's something for you guys....
This weekend was really fun and I'm really glad that I went up north to see the San Jose people (Serena, Rita, and Shawn). What did I actually do on Monday? Nothing much...as you can see on my past entry, I basically sat around doing nothing while Serena was trying to recover from her hangover and get out of bed (which she did eventually around 5 o'clock in the afternoon!!!) Yeah, but while she was asleep, I was hooked on 24 because they had a marathon on the FX Network. MAN! That show is AWESOME! I freaking didn't wanna leave because I wanted to watch the last 3 episodes, but I had to leave if I wanted to go home in time to work. BLAH! Well, here are some pictures I took at Casino Night @ Serena's. Enjoy.
Hump day is tomorrow! Wow! That was fast! Such is the life of Joe...

Monday, September 01, 2003

As I'm writing this...
So as I'm writing this...I'm still in San Jose on Serena's computer waiting for freaking Serena to get up. She's got a huge hangover and she's been sleeping forever. The only time she gets up is every hour or so to go to the bathroom and yack! HA HA HA! Fun!
What a great past couple of days it's been for me. Thursday was Viv's thing at D&B's (see 2 entries ago), Friday was Reggie's bday celebration and Jevon's bday celebration. I headed out to Reggie's bday celebration at TGIF and celebrated there with the young-uns. Damn poor ass college people...they've been there like an hour and Reggie was drinking water and coke? WHAT THE HELL!!! It's his birthday!!! It took us "old people" (Theda, Danny, Danielle, and me) to buy him his first and only round of drinks. Boo on poor college people. HA! Then we were off to Jevon's bday dinner. Good times, w/ people more my age...too bad Jevon was being a wussy. Oh well, Happy Birthday Mang!!! Oh yeah, I actually learned something that night. I learned to actually wait for Theda instead of forgetting about her. HA! I'm the best big bro.
Saturday consisted of a 5 hour drive by myself to San Jose. And it really wasn't as bad as you might think. It was a good drive and I was just driving w/ the windows down and listening/singing to my Saves The Day CD's (all 4), Brand New, Thrice, AFI, and Strokes CD's. I just basically kicked it that night bowling w/ Serena, Shawn, Rita, Charlene, and Chris, and drinking a half a bottle of rum (but I didn't know it Rita just kept on filling my coke up with rum....damn you!!!).
Sunday was spent at "The Mystery Spot" in Santa Cruz. It's pretty crazy there where balls roll uphill, and water flows uphill (not really...kinda hard to explain). It was cool...except I freaking got dizzy in that stupid cabin. Then later that night was "Casino Night" at Serena's house to celebrate Serena, Shawn, and Jedy's birthdays. Good times just chilling with friends, drinking, gambling, and singing some kareoke. (Pictures soon to follow once I get home)
So now I'm waiting to go home. I don't know when I'm gonna leave. I'm really lazy right now. Just as long as I get back to Irvine by 1 o'clock or so. Long weekend? Yes'm...good weekend? Yes'm. Such is the life of Joe...
