3 pounds!!!
&nbpsDamn, you Roscoe's Chicken And Waffles!!! I weighed myself before working out and I freaking am 3 pounds heavier!!! But then again, I haven't taken a dump since Roscoe's....so I've probably gained at least 2 pounds (how much do dumps weigh anyways). And yes, I was gonna do some cardio today...until I remembered that doing cardio makes me tired and all sweaty So I didn't...yeah, just a quick update for all you people out there..such is the life of Joe...

Wonderful World Of Wackiness
What a grand weekend. To start it off was Gerard and Christian's birthdays at ESPNzone as written in my last entry. Then Saturday night was time to celebrate Cile's birthday. Happy 25th Birthday Cile!!! I got to kick it with Cile and her "LA People" AKA "UDY" at this place called "Tokyo Delves" which is this small Rock 'N Roll Sushi place. It was an awesome time eating some, but mostly taking Sake Bomb after Sake Bomb after Sake Bomb. That place was pretty crazy. There was flashing lights, loud music, screaming and yelling, and of course, Sake Bombing. TUT TUT Cile, HA! Riann pounding on the bathroom door to some stranger "Hurry Up Bitch! I need to take a piss" and said girl coming out all pissed off and ready to throw down. Carlo taking more Sake Bombs and shots than I can count on my fingers. and who can forget Drunk Iya, need I say more? HA! Always good times spent w/ the "LA People", gotta love 'em.
Sundays are usually my time to be the lazy ass that I naturally am, but this Sunday I actually went out and kicked it with the "JC Crew". We went to Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles which was actually only my 2nd time there, but it was so good. Thanks Jay for dinner!!!! There I revealed the advantages of wearing button fly jeans. With button fly jeans, its like wearing 4 pairs of waist sizes in one jean. Button the top button, its size 33, unbutton the very top button, its a size 34, and so on. And trust me, after eating at Roscoe's I took advantage of my button fly jeans. After eating, and a quick stop at Insomnia for some coffee, we headed back to Jay's place just to kick it, watch TV, look through pictures, watch old video's of little lil Jay and his "wonderful world of wackiness", and a game of Scrabble. Good times, but Jon did bring up a good point. Why is it that we can spend hours online chatting away...but when we're all actually in the same room in person, we sometimes struggle to find something to talk about. HA! As always, its always good times kicking it with the "JC Crew".
Well, back to another start of the work week...4 more days and counting until the weekend. Such is the life of Joe....

If there's grass on the field, play on
Yay, the weekend if finally here and I don't think there's a better way to start it off than chilling with friends. Gerard's and Christians birthdays were celebrated last night at ESPNzone in Downtown Disney. Good times chilling and seeing some people I havne't seen in like...a week! Oh yeah, and longer. I got 2 free drinks yesterday...my friends are awesome. So thanks John John and Jevon...I got you guys next time. Good times watching "Jessica Alba" to only realize that she was 17 (that's only 8 years difference, anything wrong with that?). HA! Us guys are stupid. Good times nonetheless.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CILE! If you know this girl, make sure you wish her a happy birthday. TUT TUT!!!
So is it alright for someone to get mad at me for not getting a phone call. Its not my fault I didn't get the phone call, you didn't even leave a message! Yeah, I admit my phone sucks but don't give me grief because my phone sucks. (no i'm not really mad, I just needed to write something in my blog today). So anyone want to adopt a lil sis??? Apparently I'm a really bad big bro. Even though I don't think so. And to all those playas out there..."Play on playa". You know who I'm talking about. HA! Such is the life of Joe...

Cuntaction
So I've found something new to do whenever I'm on the computer and really freaking bored (which happens a lot). First, it was just checking out random blogs that have been recently posted on Blogger, now it is checking out random public galleries of pictures posted up at Imagestation. Some of them are pretty interesting and funny and random. Just something to kill time.
Tonight I was at Koji's for karaoke night and I watched the Laker vs. Timberwolves game there. There were people there being loud and rooting for the Lakers and for some reason I kinda just wanted to be obnoxious and root for the Timberwolves. Whether it was because I was bored, or because I wanted to help Jon and Ryan root against the Lakers, or because they were being kinda too loud, or because I just wanted to mock them, or because I wanted to annoy them. Call it whatever you want, but it was pretty fun cheering for the Timberwolves and making those guys mad. Every time that the Lakers would score or something they would turn and shout in our direction. It was a hella good game though and I got quiet during the end because I was hoping the Lakers would pull it off. Yeah, I actually wanted the Lakers to win and I'm sad that they lost. But no worries, Lakers will come back
So I went to Costco today and bought another 4 pounds of salmon which'll last me a while. I also decided to buy some tilapia since it is, oh so good. But then thing is that I have no idea how to cook it. Why would I buy something that I don't know how to cook? Because it'll force me to learn how to cook it. I think I've only had tilapia fried, but that doesn't seem so healthy. Well, any suggestions on how to actually cook tilapia?
The weekend if finally almost here. I have only to get through today which I think is gonna be a long ass day for me. But then after today..."its the freaking weekend baby I'm gonna have me some fun." Such is the life of Joe...

"I Love Hummers"
That's What She Said

HA HA HA!!! The best thing about Hillary Duff (aka Lizzie McGuire) being on Jay Leno last night was that she said, "I Love Hummers". HA HA HA!!! She was talking about the truck of course, but the audience, Jay Leno, and Arsenio Hall (who was the other guest) just started busting up. HA HA HA! That's freaking awesome. She had no idea what it meant at all and I'm sure she's hella embarrassed when she finally found out. HA!
"You're" is a contaction, it is short for "you are" it is different than "your" which is possessive. "They're" is also a contaction, short for "they are", it is different from "their" which is a possessive adjective and they are (or they're) both different from "there" which is location. Learn it, use it, thank you.
On a final note. Happy Birthday Mom. Hope you're celebrating with all the angels up there in Heaven....such is the life of Joe.

"Don't Wake Me Up, Don't Wake Me Up If I'm Dreaming"
So this weekend was a lazy weekend for me. I just chilled and went to my Tita's house yesterday for Easter. Mmmmmm...filet mignon is so freaking good. Yeah, I had my first helping of Red Meat in like 40 days and it was soooo good. Now its back to the work week, and the first thing I thought about when I got to work was "8 More hours until I get to leave" and "4 more days until Friday". As you can tell, I love my job.
So I take a late lunch today at 2:00 and get home to eat and relax for an hour. I turn on the TV and on channel 5 at 2:30 came that familiar song "Surf Dudes With Attitude, good vibrations..." HELL YEAH! CALIFORNIA DREAMS IS ON!!! California Dreams is on channel 5 at 2:30 and I think I'm gonna start taking late lunches just so I can watch this show! This show is almost up there with "Saved By The Bell" in my favorites.
So I watched "Ringu" this weekend. For those of you that don't know...its the original Japanese version that "The Ring" is based on. Was it scary? Not really, not compared to "The Ring" but I have to admit that I was hugging my pillows for protection in a couple scenes. So "Battle Royale" highly recommended, "Ringu" meh.
So my musical tastes lately have been freaking diverse. I'm mixing in with my hardcore/emocore stuff like Minor Threat, Black Flag, Thursday, Funeral For A Friend, etc. with old school jazz based hip hop like the first 3 Tribe albums, first 2 De La Soul Albums, and both Digable Planets albums. Weird, huh? Anyone have any recommendations for hip hop albums with jazz influences like those albums I mentioned...it would be much appreciated. Well, es todo...Such is the life of Joe.

Battle Royale!
Mmmmm...the crunchy ahi salad at Yardhouse is good. And yes, I was at the Yardhouse last night celebrating the 24th birthday of Ms. Michelle Chan. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISH!!! Good times especially when Mish is drunk.
Ok, so I guess I'm supposed to write about Jungle Juice in my blog today? I think that's what Mish and Tommy were talking about? Well, here it is. Ahhhh...jungle juice. The alcoholic drink that we all drank as Freshman and Sophomores before we developed our taste for beer and before we knew how to mix drinks ourselves. Ahhhh..jungle juice, the one drink that was free at all the parties. Ahhh..jungle juice, the staple of many a house party. Ahhhh...jungle juice, so easy to make (mix vodka and freaking fruit punch?). Ahhhh...jungle juice, it can mess you up before you know it if its made correctly and you can barely taste the alcohol. Ok, that's enough about Jungle Juice. Next time I go to a party, instead of brining beer I'm gonna bring a cooler of Jungle Juice.
Yeah, so about 2 years ago or so I head about this controversial movie that came out in Japan called Battle Royale. I looked all over for that movie to buy or download but I couldn't find it anywhere. All I could find was the trailer which intrigued me even more. Well, 2 years past and I totally forgot about it until this week when I stumbled on an article or something about it on the internet. So I went and found the movie!!! I haven't watched it all yet but this movie is so damn awesome! Its freaking satirical and violent and just plain entertaining. Here's the website if you want more info Battle Royale. Basically its set in the near future of Japan after the economy has sufferred and they put some blame on the kids. So every year a "lucky" class gets kidnapped and taken to a deserted island and they have to kill each other until only 1 lives in 3 days. If more than one person lives then everyone is killed. So its kinda like "Lord Of The Flies" but more violent. Its just awesome. You gotta watch it. You can borrow it from me if you want.
Ok, well, that is it for now. I'm counting down the hours until I get to go home. Its about 5 hours and counting...such is the life of Joe.

( o )( o ) or ( Y )
So one of the conversations that came up during my latest Vegas trip was "are you a breast guy ( o )( o ) or an ass guy ( Y )"????? I was gonna just shout out that I was an ass guy but I stopped and thought a minute. Am I really an ass guy? Yeah, I like a nice ass...but seeing a nice set of boobs is nice too. I think that I'm an ass man because that's one of the first things I'll actually look at on a girl (after the face of course). But I think that I look at the ass because its so easy to....they won't catch you looking at their ass as easily as if you were to look at their boobs. I think a girl looks weird if she has nice boobs but then no ass at all. But then again if a girl has a nice ass you can overlook the boobs part....or can you? I'm changing my mind right as I'm freaking writing this thing. Maybe boobs are better than ass??? Hmmm...can a guy be both a boobs and ass guy? So I still don't know if I'm an ass guy or a boobs guy.
Jessica Alba has both boobs and ass. That's why she's my ultimate girl.
So if guys have to choose between ass and boobs, what do girls have to choose between? Can girls be divided into 2 groups like guys can? Do girls choose between ass and chest? Chest and arms? Arms and Abs? Hmmm...oh well. Just some random thoughts....such is the life of Joe.

He Can't Read Because He's BLIND! HA!
I"m freaking tired. This weekend has been a fun one but a tiring one too. I just got back to Irvine from Vegas at noon and all that I did the whole day today was sleep. Sleep I slept from freaking noon until 4, went to church, ate, then went to sleep at like 7 until just now at 11:30. Now I'm up just to write about the weekend to entertain all you working people.
The flight to Vegas was at 6:30 meaning we had to be at the airport at 4:30. Friday night was spent going w/ Tommy to meet Cile at work (Her work is awesome, by the way), ate at Revolving Sushi w/ Joy and Eric, went back to Cile's house where I tried to get some freaking sleep, I probably only got an hour sleep and then we were out to LAX for our flight to Las Vegas.
We got to the Embassy Suites where we were staying and met up with Joe De Los, Riann, and Anna and I just crashed for like 2 hours or so. I knew I needed sleep because I was planning on staying up until we left at 24 hours later. I won $20 at Saharra on roulette there which was cool and then we were off to Caesar's Palace to shop, eat, chill, Riann got "feded", and then we walked to Aladdin to meet up everyone for buffet. So 17 of us eating and chilling at the Aladdin buffet which is always a good time b/c that buffet is the bomb. That's when I told the "Stevie Wonder Joke" and everyone thought it was freaking hillarious...except for Riann (I'm sorry...its not my joke, I just like telling it).
The rest of the night was spent at the Monte Carlo Pub and Brewery for dancing, drinking, chilling, and gambling. Did I mention I won $300 playing roulette? So that made me up $180 for the whole trip. Hell yeah! That's the first time I've actually left Vegas with money in my pocket. So basically I paid for my hotel room and flight there. Oh yeah! Did I mention that we saw Arissa from the Real World Las Vegas there??? She was at the Monte Carlo Pub and Brewery with some of her friends! That girl is so freaking hot! She looks so much more better in person than on TV. Awesome! That was the highlight of the night!
So our flight back to LAX was at 8:30 meaning we needed to be at the airport at 6:30 which was like 2 hours after the club closed and we were finished gambling. Joe, Riann, Tommy, Cile, Anna, and I seperated from the group because we had to be at the airport soon and everyone else still wanted to gamble and eat. So after eating, packing, sleeping for like 30 minutes, and chilling at the airport for 2 hours we got on our flight home. HA! Cile yacked on the plane ride home! HA! That's what you get for drinking like 6 drinks 5 hours before getting on a plane!
Pros for flying
-dont' have to deal with freaking traffic driving home
-the flight is only 40 minutes
-if you get a good deal it'll only cost a little bit more than driving
Cons for flying
-you need to be at the airport 2 hours early
-some flights are freaking early in the morning
-you don't have a car and you need to take taxis everywhere
When you go to Vegas with a group of 17, everyone isn't gonna want to do the same thing. Girls will wanna go clubbing, guys will wanna go gambling...that is how it is with every group of people I go with. Everyone is free to do their own thing but at the same time people kinda feel obligated to stay with the group. But you know what? It always seems to work out in Vegas with everyone having a good time no matter what they do. So although it was a tiring weekend it was a very fun time. Seeing Arissa in peron, Riann and my "slick" handshake, the DJ not playing Wayne Wonder, winning $180, and just spending time with friends. I seriously am so greatful to all these guys for letting me into their close knit group of friends with open arms. Such is the life of Joe...

BLAH!
I have the biggest hangover ever!!! BLAH!!! (details later)...

details
So I thought that yesterday was gonna be a normal boring day for me just sitting at home staring at the TV and computer screen seeing who's on AIM (anyone notice that I've been on for like 8 days straight or something?). Well, I was surprisingly wrong. Theda called me up since I'm the best 'big bro' in the world (HA!) and her and her friend Sue were going out and I was gonna tag along. Now don't laugh...we were gonna go to the Kaba party. Ok, ok...are you guys finished laughing yet? Well, luckily they weren't letting any more people in since they were at capacity and so instead, we went to Shark Club. Good times. Yes, good times because guy:girl ratio was 1(me) to 2(Theda and Sue) so I always had a dance partner even if it was still a sausage fest at Shark Club. Good times just kicking it, drinking, dancing, talking, and actually getting off my ass and doing something. Yeah, well, 5 drinks later and 2 hours later we leave and I get home at freaking 3 in the morning.
tips:
- Do not stay out until 3 am when you have work the next day
- Do not consume 5 alcoholic drinks in 2 hours
- Do not mix hard liquor with beer even if you drink the "liquor before the beer" because at least for me you won't "be in the clear".
So I woke up with the biggest hangover and it didn't help that my window was open and not only did I feel "sick" I also felt sick. It doesn't help that I only got like 3 hours of sleep and that I work in a Bio lab dealing with animal tissues. Yeah, needless to say I freaking felt nauseous the whole morning. I feel a lot better now that I have some food in me. By the way, is it 6 o'clock yet?
I'm so glad that it's Friday. After work I plan on sleeping for a while, then hopefully eating at "Revolving Sushi" later on tonight. Then tomorrow I have to wake up early to catch the flight for Vegas!!! HELL YEAH! Vegas here I come...such is the life of Joe.

Is It Friday Yet???
I swear I thought today was Thursday but dammit its only Wednesday. Freaking 2.5 more days of work until the weekend. And I can't wait for this weekend. Because this weekend is VEGAS!!! You might be asking yourself, "didn't Joe just go to Vegas last month?" and the answer is yes'm, but that doesn't mean I can't go again! This time I'm going with Cile's group of friends...the people I like to call the "LA People". I call them that because...well, because they're from LA, duh. Anyways, I'm actually gonna fly there on Saturday morning! But the stupid thing is that I'm only gonna be there for 24 hours or so because the flight home is on Sunday morning. So I'm planning on getting to Vegas, sleeping maybe until noon and then staying up the rest of the day/night until the flight back home. Hopefully I'll freaking win enough money to cover the cost of flying...but I'd rather be flying than freaking driving all that way. Yay!
So I'm planning on just spending the 24 hours just kicking it with good friends, drinking, Aladdin buffet, of course gambling and trying to win at least $200, and then clubbing or strip club or both at night/early morning. Cile was talking about maybe going to a strip club and you know I'm down for that but we'll see if anyone else is. (don't worry JC Crew, I'm not cheating on you guys). Joe de Los wants to check out this one club in the Aladdin that has a foam party at 3 AM. FOAM PARTY! sounds like fun!!! I've never been!!! And at 3 in the morning, it sounds perfect for staying up all night. I can't wait.
So I think this Daylight Savings has messed me up more than I thought. First, I think its Thursday when its actually Wednesday and now I'm tending to sleep an hour later than usual and I'm getting up an hour later than usual. Oh well, such is the life of Joe...

Just in time for Easter!

Yeah, its just a joke image...its not real. Pretty gross...but then again, I don't eat balut. I bet you this could actually catch on in the Philippines!!!! A friend sent this to me and I just wanna give a shout out to her: "yo yo, this is joemama from Irveezy just wanting to give a big shout to Mary in Las Vegas! Yeyer!!!" Ok, that's it...she probably doesn't even read this. But if you do "holla back now!"

Spring ahead.... 5 hours???
I just woke up at freaking 3 o'clock today...I usually wake up at 10 o'clock on the weekends. Why so late you might ask? Well, really its only 2 o'clock since we sprang ahead 1 hour for Daylight Savings, but mostly it had to do with the fact that I didn't get home until freaking 5 o'clock in the morning!!! So yesterday was a very fun yet tiring day:
I dropped off James at the airport because he's flying up north to meet Ana and then they are going to Hawaii!!! LUCKY!!! I wish I was going to Hawaii!!! Oh yeah, I AM...but only in 3 more months or so. Well, I hope they're both safe and of course they'll have a lot of fun because its impossible to have a bad time in Hawaii.
I then went to where Jon is staying in Yorba Linda for a little bit of kicking back and eating. Jenn was there with a couple of her friends, Jenn and Jaqueline (sp?), and its always a good time kicking back with Jenn.
On a side note: the illusion of the internet. I wanted to check out Jon's fishtank after seeing pictures of it on his site. I thought that it was gonna be this huge tank like on the scale of the tank that's at Rattan, but it was this small tank in the corner of his room. Ahhh...the illusions of the internet.
I just chilled there watching the Final Four (damn, Marquette got blown out), Lizzie McGuire (Aileen made me watch that), and Trading Spaces (yes, I actually like that show) while we were waiting for more people to meet up.
We fianlly headed to Medieval Times for Jon and Jenn's birthdays and I got to ride with Tinz there (jealous Jevon?). Medieval Times was awesome. It brought back memories of when I went there in 8th grade and it also kinda reminded me of being at a basketball or football game or something. We were rooting for the Black and White Knight which was cool because he was the champion...until the evil knight killed him. Its kinda hard finding a cheer for "Black and White"...I liked the Yellow Knight's cheer "yeeeeellllow, yeeeeellllow". But needless to say, food, alcohol, friends, knights fighting, and yelling until our voices got hoarse was a great time for all. After Medieval Times was clubbing at Shark Club. There were too many people in there and the guy to girl ratio in our group was probably 20:4 but it was still good times. After Shark Club we went to IHOP where the conversation turned to our favorite topic. Its funny how every time we sit down to eat after doing something like clubbing, strip club, etc. the topic of conversation is always the same. I find it highly entertaining and must admit that it always wakes me up. HA!
So I basically got home at 5 am. Yes, 5 in the morning!!! It was because I had to go back to Yorba Linda after IHOP to pick up my car at Jon's. Note to self: do not follow a car back home when they aren't even going back to your city. I followed Averell and Chris for a while until I realized that they were going back to Fullerton and not Irvine...yeah, yeah, I wasn't thinking because I was so tired..so that probably set me back 20 minutes or so but got home at 5 in the morning.
So I had a good excuse to sleeping until 3 in the afternoon. I missed out on going to Roscoe's so I guess it'll have to wait until lil Jay treats us . Such is the life of Joe...

Mistaken Identity
So every so often, I get IM'ed from random people thinking I'm some other "joe" guy. I actually know who this guy is because he IM'ed me once claiming that I had stolen his AIM screen name. No, not that I had gotten it first...but that I literally stole his password and took over his account. Yeah, he's some Korean guy at USC. How do I know this? Because it says so on his website. How do I know his website? Because if you search for "j0emama" on Yahoo! then you'll find it. So every so often I get a random IM from someone thinking that I'm him. I swear this has happened like 10 times with 10 different people. Its pretty funny sometimes because I actually start talking to them thinking that they are one of my friends. Yeah, random...I know.
So as a joke I posted "Ansar Al Islam" on Tommy's tagboard and so he retaliated back by posting it on mine. But it seems like someone's been posting that on everyone elses tagboard/shoutbox. And Tommy is blaming that on me. That's not me bitch! =) <-----------look a smile. I'm not the one shouting that out in the middle of BJ's 2 weeks ago. If you don't believe me, check out the IP addresses of the posters....I bet you it was Tommy.
So according to the scale at the 24 Hour Fitness at work, I am now 158 pounds. That's down from the 161 pounds that I weighed the week before. How did I freaking lose 3 pounds??? I haven't done anything different at all. I've still been a lazy ass when it comes to doing cardio saying "I'll do it tomorrow" or stopping only 10 minutes into it because I'm freaking tired. And I've been eating the same...I think. Maybe it has to do with the fact that instead of being a lazy ass this past weekend, I was actually active by playing softball and going to the beach. Oh well, I'm not complaining. I would just like to know how I lost 3 pounds so I can keep on doing it. I wanna try to get back down to like at least 155 or lower because all that extra weight is in the midsection, and hopefully I'll have at least the outlines of a six pack by the time I go to Hawaii in 3 months. Yeah, I know I'm fat...blah...such is the life of Joe.
