Such is the life of Joe...
Tulare = Boring
I went home to Tulare today to see my Dad because I didn't get to see him during Christmas and also because it's always nice to see Dad. I also had to give him the Christmas present that James and I got him. I made it home in only 3 hours...which is pretty good for like 250 miles or so, i think. He was so excited to see that James and I got him the magic microphone, the karaoke machine in a microphone. He was actually going to a friends house to sing karaoke and he had to take our present along with him so that he could show off to all his friends. That's the best feeling in the world...seeing the expression on someone that really really loves your present. I saw that in Dad and I saw that in James when he opened his gift from me.
Did you know that Tulare, California is the most boring place in the whole wide world? True I was raised here and spent like 15 years of my life here...but it is just the most boring place in the world. All that I do here is sit at home and watch TV. I'm so freaking bored that I even try cleaning my room. I haven't kept in touch with my high school friends because I didn't really want to, James had gone up north to visit Ana, and Craig, the old roommate wasn't home so I was bored out of my mind. The house in Tulare really needs DSL or a cable modem and a computer in my room, and a new TV in my room with a DVD player and surround sound, that would make Tulare so much more bearable.
I'm probably gonna be back in Irvine on monday night just because I don't really wanna spend New Years here. If i'm just gonna spend New Years on my ass I'd rather do it in Irvine than in Tulare...well, such is the life of Joe.
SO Whatcha Get??
How many times have I said this, but I Love Christmas!!! No, I hate Christmas Shopping, I hate all the people in the malls, I hate that there is no parking in the parking lot, and I don't really care about the gifts, but I love Christmas! For me, Christmas has never been about presents....its always been about spending time with the family. That's the best part of Christmas, watching the cousins open their presents and playing with their toys, eating 4 times a day, and going to mass together as one big family and taking up one whole pew. It's the greatest.
So I just got some money, and some pretty cool clothes, which was cool. You can always use clothes and money. I got my brother, James a digital camera and he liked it a lot...cool!!! That's the kind of reaction that you love to get when you are giving presents. The only thing missing from Christmas was Dad. He couldn't make it because he was busy in Tulare. So I'm probably gonna drive up to Tulare on Saturday and give him his presents.
So what's happening for New Years???? Anyone have plans, cause I don't. Tell me now or else I'll probably spend it sitting on my ass in Tulare doing nothing at all....yay, fun...BLAH! Oh well, such is the life of Joe.
Merry Christmas to ALL!!!! And to all a Good Night!!!
I hope everyone out there is Having a Grand Christmas spent with the family!!!! Everyone be safe and enjoy the time with your family. I hope everyone gets what they wanted for Christmas, and if not....just rest up and go to the Mall early the next day becasue it'll be packed!!! Merry Christmas again!!!
The Infamous Ticket
I won $10,000!!!!
So I just looked up more on the movie "When Harry Met Lloyd: Dumb and Dumberer" and just as I suspected, Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are NOT starring. The movie is a prequel and set back in high school and so it stars these 2 guys that I've never heard of. That just made this movie from a definite watch to a maybe, if the trailer looks good. But there are still so many movies out there that I'm waiting for. I can't wait for X2 (the X-Men sequel) and then the 2 Matrix sequels (Matrix Reloaded in the spring and Matrix Revolution during winter).
Tonight was Christmas Dinner with a bunch of friends at Champp's at the Spectrum. Good times with good friends and even a gift exchange!!! And boy was I excited when I got my gift!!! I got a cd wallet for my car and in it was a lottery ticket which were from Olivia. I had to match 3 prize amounts and I would win that amount. So there was 6 spaces to scratch off and I scratched off the top three which were all different. Then I started to scratch the bottom spaces, $10,000 for the first space...ok, whatever. $10,000 on the 2nd space....hmmmmm....interesting!!! I just need one more to win $10,000!!! And so I slowly scratched the 3rd space...$1-0-0-0-0, $10,000!!!! WOW!!! I didn't believe it at first and so Jay asks me how much I won and I told him "this can't be right, can it?" And showed him the ticket. I then just started to jump around and dance around and I even took a picture of the ticket!!! TOO BAD THAT IT WAS JUST A JOKE TICKET!!!! I read the back and realized that it was a fake ticket! Olivia had gotten me so good and I just had to laugh it off!!! HA HA HA! GOOD JOKE!!! Was I mad that she gave me that ticket? No, not really...yeah it would've been nice to win $10,000 but I wasn't expecting anything like that. Looking back at it I am more embarrassed than anything. I was jumping around and took a picture of it and everything. Man, how embarrassing!!! Good joke though! HA HA HA! I was dancing around! HA HA HA. That freaking makes me laugh!!! But I should've known that it was fake....nothing good like that would ever happen to me. such is the life of Joe.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Damn, the 80's were like 20 years ago!
You know you're old when all the cartoons, toys, and shows that you remember watching as a kid are almost 20 years old!!! Damn! That's too crazy to think about. Time seriously just flies by because it just seems like yesterday when I was just watching those shows on TV. I've just become nostalgic this past week after watching the "I Love The 80's" shows on VH1. Yeah, and I have to admit it, I really don't remember that much from the 80's. Or at least not without any stimulus. Without seeing the show I would've never thought about Transformers, He-Man, Glo-worms, Pound Puppies, My Buddy, Teddy Ruxpin, Care Bears, Wendy's "where's the beef", Acid Wash Jeans, Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, Cheers, Perfect Strangers, Webster, The Facts of Life, Different Strokes, The Cosby Show, The Brat Pack and their movies: "Pretty In Pink", "Sixteen Candles", "Weird Science", "The Breakfast Club"..., and countless other 80's icons.
I think everyone likes remember those shows and the fads just because everyone likes to remember their life back then. We didn't have to worry about school, jobs, boyfriends/girlfriends, finding a new apartment, cooking, cleaning or any of the responsibilities that we have to deal with today. I think that's why I love watching the "Cosby Show" on re-runs all the time because it reminds me of sitting and watching TV back at home in Tulare in Mom and Dad's room together as a family without any worries or problems. Life was so easy as a kid. I really wish as a kid, that you would really appreciate what you have. I wish that you could realize how easy you have it and really appreciate it and remember it. Well, I gotta go out and take care of more responsibilities like shopping for Christmas presents. Such is the life of Joe.
Damn that's a long movie
I just watched Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers today with James, Tommy, and freaking Sherwin. I got to the Spectrum right after work around 6:00 and bought the tickets for the 8:15 showing at the IMAX!!!! HELL YEAH!!! Sherwin was going to pick up James and Tommy to meet me there and I just ate and walked around a little bit. I then went and lined up to the quickly growing line outside and as 7:00 gets closer and closer I see no Sherwin, James or Tommy!!!! Hmmmm......they were gonna let us in at 7:00 to the theater inside so how the hell was I supposed to get seats but then give tickets to them? DAMMMIT!!!! Damn Sherwin =P (<-----look a smiley face), he was freaking lagging!!! Because of him we were gonna get crappy ass seats. Well, just then I saw Ken and his roommate and let him in line with me. I must be the luckiest person in the world! So I would let him in line with me ahead of probably 40 people and he would save me 4 seats. AWESOME!!! Damn, I'm lucky....but really, I think we would've been fine even if we didn't have any seats saved. Needless to say, the movie was awesome. A little different from the book, but I think it had to be. And watching it in the IMAX theater was crazy. That screen is freaking huge!!!
Yeah, that's it. I was gonna talk about something else but I forgot. Did you guys check out that "I Love the 80's" show on VH1??? I think they show 2 different years starting at 8:00. I think. Well, that is all for now. I can't wait until Friday is over so I can chill. It'll be grrrreat!!! Such is the life of Joe.
Did you know He-Man was Gay???
HA HA HA! That was one of the funniest things I've seen on VH1!!!! Actually, it WAS the funniest thing that I've ever seen on VH1. All this week is "I Love The '80's" week on VH1. It's pretty cool because they have this show called "I Love 198_" and I think it goes through all the years in the '80's with little clips of the popular movies, shows, trends, stars, etc. Its awesome! I love it! I think any '80's child would love this show because it brings back so many memories. And it also opens up things that you didn't think about back when you were a kid watching this stuff.
For example, we all watched Masters of the Universe featuring He-Man. And they featured that on the "I Love 1983" show. Then they said that He-Man was really gay....and then showed all these clips of him doing and saying things that, in the right context, would make you believe that he's gay. Like it showed a clip of him saying something like "I don't want to tell my Dad my secret..." and you know he's really talking about his secret that he really is He-Man, but its just freaking funny. I hope that they show more tonight.
I love the present that my brother and I got Dad for Christmas. It arrived in the mail yesterday and I HAD to test it out to see if it worked, right? So I hooked it up to my received and started to sing "Here comes Santa Claus, Here comes Santa Clause, right down Santa Claus Lane!" HELL YEAH! We got him a karaoke microphone thingie! HA HA HA!!! It's hella expensive but Dad loves the karaoke and this thing is dope. If he doesn't want it, I'll happily take it. I just hope that Dad gets to come down here for Christmas this year. From as long as we've lived in California, we've always spent Christmas down in Palos Verdes at my Tita's house. Why? Because all the family is down here and none of them wanted to drive 3 hours up north to boring Tulare. And plus I don't think we would have room, although we did do it one Christmas. But I Dad doesn't like to come down if it is snowing on the Grapevine, and chances are...with the weather we're having, it'll be snowing on the Grapevine. DAMMIT! I want to see him sing away on that microphone and liven Christmas up! My Dad is always the life of the party! You gotta love that! Well, that is all for now....can't wait until Saturday and "Christmas" dinner with the friends, that's what I'm looking forward to!!!! Such is the life of joe....
Wild On....Vanessa Minnillo
Wow! I got a good response from my last posting! And many of you guys agree with me on that Vanessa Minnillo beauty. Yes, please!!! Besides her soon to come website here is another site that has some more pictures of her. I'm sure you guys already found it though after searching for her name on yahoo! Also, here's a picture for all you who are too lazy to check her out -
Ok, I can definitely say that Brooke Burke is at the top of my NOC List. She's in the new Issue of FHM, so I have to get that. Also, I just bought her new 2003 Calendar. Can't wait to get that! Yes Please!
Got the new issue of Maxim today, I'm a subscriber. And on the cover and inside is Christina Aguilera looking scandalous as ever. Am I complaining? Hell NO! I'm glad she got all slutty. That's the best thing in the world! You've gotta pick that issue up! It's awesome! You basically see her whole butt....no, no not her butt hole, her WHOLE BUTT! HA HA HA!!! I'm so funny. Ok, that is all. I'm pretty much finished w/ my Christmas shopping. I just need to pick up my Dad a little extra something. I'll talk to you guys soon. Such is the life of Joe...
Wild on....nothing
I just finished watching the newest "Wild On..." which used to be one of my favorite shows. I say used to because now they have a new host. No longer is it the lovely Brooke Burke, now it's some girl named Cindy Taylor. No way does she even compare to Brooke Burke. I don't know why she won the hosting job because she seemed so nervous and so unwilling to do things. She basically sucks. There was this half Filipina chick named Vanessa Minnillo. She was hot!!! Yeah, I was mad when she didn't win. There were other girls there that seemed better than Cindy Taylor which included Vanessa (yeah, we're on first name basis) and Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal. If you aren't gonna pick the hot Filipina chick at least pick the hot ass Playboy Playmate!!! What the hell was Wild On thinking? But yeah, that show used to be pretty good but now that it has a wussy ass host it's not as good. I'll give her a couple more shows to settle in though. Maybe it wasn't the host that was wrong with the show. I think that it had to do with the location too. It was Wild On Taiwan. Riiiiiight. Everyone knows that Taiwan is the happening place on earth. Riiiight. I think they're running out of places to freaking visit.
One of the people in the show was singer Coco Lee. Remember her? She sang the title song on "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and is a famous singer in China and Asia? Remember her in Bio class at UC Irvine? Yeah, me neither. But she did go to UC Irvine and she was a Biology major. Crazy how you can be sitting in class next to some person that eventually becomes a huge star overseas.
Well, that's all for now. I'm kinda getting scared about this thing called life and this thing called 'my future'. But I'll save that for another entry...such is the life of Joe.
I love Michael Jackson
Check out this link to this freaking hillarious game about Michael Jackson and his infamous baby dangling. Michael Jackson Game
That's it for now...just wanted to get that out to you who are all working so hard! HA!
Blah
Sorry for the lack of updates, I haven't really had that much to talk about. Really. All the stuff that I think to write about at work, I totally forget when I get home, until I'm in bed about to sleep...and then I'm too lazy to get out of bed and blog. Well, I just can't wait until freaking Christmas gets here. I think I'm gonna take off the 23rd to and go back to work on the 6th of January. Just because I can and just because I feel laziness coming...and I love laziness.
I love the internet so much because it saves me from going Christmas shopping in the crowded ass malls. Actually, I haven't bought any presents yet...and I'll probably buy them at the stores. But just knowing that if I wanted to, I could just sit on my ass and shop is just awesome. See! I love laziness!!! It also tends to be sometimes cheaper online than at the stores. You just need to know how to get those cool coupon codes and stuff. Check out these two sites: MFET and Ben's Bargains for some good deals and they always post the "Friends and Family" discount for certain stores (GAP, Banana Republic, Foot Locker, Kenneth Cole, etc.) when they happen. In fact...Ben's Bargains just informed me that this weekend you can get 40% off at Kenneth Cole! WOW! We all know how freaking expensive Kenneth Cole is...and so 40% off will make it less expensive.
Well, that is all for now. I'll probably think of all these funny ass things to talk about right after I post this, but I'll be too freaking lazy to get back on the computer...oh well, such is the life of Joe.
I'm not a morning person...
Every morning, I wake up and just dread the day. I hate the mornings. I really freaking hate them. I would love them if I had something to look forward to but every morning I wake up and dread the day because I know it is gonna be another boring ass day at work. I don't ever remember being excited about waking up in the morning since I was like 10 or so. When I was a kid, I loved waking up in the morning on Saturdays to watch cartoons and I especially loved waking up early on Christmas to see what presents Santa left me and on Easter to see what presents the Easter Bunny left me (were we the only family that got presents and toys from the easter bunny? just wondering). But since then, the mornings have sucked. First it was school, which wasn't that bad. But now it is freaking work. Sorry I haven't written in a while, its just that I've had a lot of stuff on my mind lately. Stuff that I might talk about later on....such is the life of Joe.
Damn, I'm old
First off, Happy Birthday Britney Spears!
So if you haven't guessed from all the greetings and salutations in the shoutbox, today is my birthday. On December 2, 1977 I came into this world. Damn, that's a quarter of a century ago. I'm freaking old. But I guess now I can rent a car without incurring additional charges and I can rent that big ass 14 passenger van. Yippee. Yeah, sorry if I don't sound excited. I know it's my birthday and all but I just have never made a big deal about my birthday. I don't like my birthday but I also don't really hate it...at least not that much, to me it's just another day. So thank you to everyone that has wished me a Happy Birthday I really appreciate it. It makes me feel special and stuff.
So I've been thinking....if you had 1 wish would you wish for something even though you know that it'll probably change everything. It would probably change where you went to college and would most probably change all the great friends that you've met? But at the same time I think it would change your life completely and most probably for the better??? Would you make that wish??? Just wondering....just putting things out there which I may talk about later on...or not, depends on how I feel.
Ok, that's it. Such is the life of Joe....
