BLAHHHHHHHHH!
Another busy but awesome weekend!!! Thank you to all the people who came out on Friday to celebrate Cat's birthday at Gyu-kaku in Huntington Beach. We stuffed our faces full with yakiniku (Japanese BBQ). Ohhhhhhh so good and oh so fun! I love places where you cook your own food! It's delicious AND entertaining!!!

Saturday was spent in LA/Hollywood for Riann and Joe's wedding. The ceremony was so nice. I loved the church. We got there a little late, right when the bridesmaids were walking in, but the whole ceremony was awesome. I loved how during communion Riann and Joe sat together facing everyone so we could smile at them as we were receiving communion and you could see how happy they both were!

The reception was at the Rennaisance Hotel at Hollywood and Highland, but we had a couple of hours to kill. So Cat and I hung out at Hollywood and Highland to get something to eat since we haven't eaten anything at all. It was nice just sitting there and people watching and some of the people we watched was Riann and Joe and the rest of the wedding party. It was hilarious watching them because when Ja and Bev were talking the wedding party pictures in the plaza you'd see all these strangers and tourists be taking pictures too thinking Ja and Bev were paparazzi taking pictures of something famous. HA HA HA!

Ok, so this was Riann and Joe's wedding reception and YOU KNEW they were gonna do something special. So during the introductions they totally ROCKED THE RECEPTION! They took the mic performed "Because of You" by Ne-Yo and "Too Close" by Next. It was AWESOME!!! They got EVERYONE up and on their feet. It was the best. Awesome reception, open bar, live band, and great friends I haven't seen in a while and don't hang out with enough. Good times. Congratulations Riann and Joe!!!

Okay...so who just watched the MNF game? Everyone knows how much I LOVE the Niners. WTF? Number 1, honestly just because I put a hand on the back of some guy and he falls down over his own feet shouldn't mean he's down, right? Frank Gore should've had a touchdown!!! Why would you go UP THE MIDDLE from the 3 yard line...with Michael Robinson?!?!? If you're gonna do that...AT LEAST PUT IN FRANK GORE!!! DAMMMMMMMMMMMIT!!!! Are you serious!?!?! Ok....I'm pissed off but I have to say that the Niners played awesome and i'm really loving Singletary as the Coach. What sucks even more is that I was kicking ass in one of my Fantasy leagues until Boldin and that Breaston guy caught so many passes and TD's! DAMMIT!!!! Don't talk to me.

So...this is the best Monday ever. First, on the way to work my car breaks down. It needs a new transmission...CHA CHING! Second, Cat and I went to the market in the rental car and accidentally locked ourselves out of our house. And lastly, the Niners lost a game that they clearly could have AND should have. BLLLLLLLLLLLLLAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Went to Tustin Brewery yesterday to celebrate Joesan's birthday. Just a low key dinner with some friends watching the World Series and MNF. Good times. So somehow we started to talk about UCI ID cards and our student numbers. Everyone remembers their student number, right? I think 80% of the people at the table remembered their student ID number. We used it all the time in our 4 (or 5) years at college it should be ingrained in our heads. Passing around the old ID cards was hilarious though. Everyone looked so young and in some cases totally different. HA HA HA!

So you know how I broke my Nokia N80? How I opened it up and saw that a data cable was torn. So I decided to sell it for spare parts on eBay and I just typed in Nokia N80 on eBay to see how much one for spare parts would go for...well, the first entry that I see is a replacement data cable!!! AHHHHH!!! It was only $5.99 plus like $3.00 shipping!!! AHHHHH!!! So instead of getting my iPhone, I could've just paid like $9.00 and I could've fixed my phone! AHHHHH!!! Oh well, I like my iPhone a lot better than the old Nokia N80 anyways. So I ordered the replacement part and I'm going to sell the phone on eBay as a refurbished/used phone. HOpefully I get at least $100.00 back.

So I think I'm getting sick. It started at Tustin Brewing Company when I just started to sneeze. I didn't know what it was. I felt fine on Tuesday. Went to work out (wow, I'm so sore today) and then chilled at home. But today when I woke up, I felt a little sick. It's not the scratchy throat or anything like that...but I just FELT sick. Then I got to work where it's freaking cold as hell in the labs and that sickness just instensified. It feels like I'm freaking drowning, that's how bad it is to breathe. I'm not coughing or anything, I just can't breathe and I feel like blah! BLAH! Went to lunch at Pho 99 and had Pho (mmmmmmm) and instead of going to work out, I think I'm going to go home and rest.

Ok, that is all for now. Hope everyone else isn't feeling under the weather like I am. Such is the life of Joe...

Pooped!
I'm POOPED! Yes, pooped. It felt like I spent half the weekend in the car driving. From Friday to Sunday we were driving here and there, and boy am I pooped.

Friday I took the day off to go to a memorial service for my 3 day year old neice. James and Ana came down the night before and stayed with us in our new place so they could attend, and Cat took the day off of work too. The service was nice, at the same cemetary that Grandpa, Grandma, and Tito Herman are buried. It was sad of course, but it was nice to see how many people took time out of their day to support Jun and Kim. We went to the reception afterwards and just hung out with the family. My little nephew Alex is just so crazy he's fun to play with, but he'll tire you out...either that or he'll hit you. HA HA HA.

Since we were up in the LA Area and it was almost rush hour, we decided to stay up in LA until the traffic eased up. We headed over to Beverly Hills to get some cupcakes at Crumbs. I like Sprinkles cupcakes, but I don't think they're the best. They're a little too rich for me. Crumbs cupcakes are better in my opinion, especially since they have filling in the middle. Yeah, we got some cupcakes and walked around Rodeo. That was my first time there...pretty nice place. It was surprising how many people asked me about the Crumbs back that I was carrying around. People at Gucci and Louis Vuitton were asking me what it was, where it was, and how good they are. WOW! The bakeshop is like a block away and they've never heard of it?! Crazy.

We still needed to kill time and so we headed up to Beverly Center...this was my first time there at the mall too! Surprising, huh? We just walked around and Cat and I spent most of our time in the Apple store checking out the new Mac Book while at the same time charging our iPhones. It's a nice mall, but every time I hear Beverly Center I think of something to rival South Coast Plaza...ehhhh...not so much.

So it was dinner time and Cat and I have been craving some Father's Office for over 2 years (since we last/first had it) in Santa Monica. Well, they have a Culver City location now and that was only a few minutes away so we decided to check it out. We got there right before the rush. No line at all, we just walked in looked at the menu and ordered our burgers, sweet potato fries, and beers. I really liked the Oscar Blues IPA that I got, highly recommended. I really need to find that somewhere. Yeah, burgers were still great and the fries were the best. Mmmmmmm...soooo good. We just chilled there talking for a while. We could tell it was getting really packed and people were eyeing tables waiting to jump at them once someone left. Well, we saw Henry there who was meeting up a friend. He came and sat with us and we just talked and caught up. We were basically waiting for his friend to arrive so they could take over our table (since there were no open tables at all and people were ready to swoop at any open one). Well, as Ana, James, Cat, and I got up to say goodbye to Henry some dude ran and sat at the table. WTF!!! We just told him not all of us were leaving. He was rude about it and stupid about it, but he gave us our table back for Henry. I can understand that people would be annoyed...but at least we had some drinks and some fries left on the table. There were other people around us with no food and empty glasses that were just sitting there...be mad at them!

Yeah, so we decided that 8pm was a good time to go back home since traffic would be dead by then...but we were wrong. There was a stupid accident on the freeway. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Needless to say, we were pooped when we got back home.

Saturday we took James and Ana to Costume Castle for them to get costume ideas. That place is just freaking crazy. I don't know what we were thinking going there on the Saturday before Halloween. We got parking easily but the store itself was a madhouse. Cat and I had to leave going to Anna's Linens and also the Filipino Market. We then went to Target at the Spectrum, Home Goods, and finally home where we all crashed because we were so tired. I took the best nap ever and we woke up in time to head out to Benihana in Anaheim to celebrate Ryan's birthday. That was my first time at Benihana, the food's alright...I guess it's about the show. We just all kept joking about that one "The Office" episode...."where's my girl!?!?!?" Hilarious. We then headed to Hooters Anaheim where Ryan proceeded to get even more jacked up than he was. It was hillarious seeing him dance, (actually fall down from the box he was dancing on and immediately get back up and continue dancing), hula hoop, and try to "skip it". HA HA HA! Good times! Happy birthday man!

Sunday, James and Ana took off back to Alameda and Cat and I headed to Glendale (GLEN-DALE!) for Matt and Rochelle's wedding shower. The theme was Fiesta Gear and I had to text Chris if that just meant nice clothes or if that meant dress like a Mexican. To our delight it meant the latter. So we donned our sombreros, I got a fake moustache and borrowed a pancho from Cat and made our entrance. HA HA HA! Everyone had moustaches, sombreros, or Dodger gear on. HA HA HA! The bad thing was that they had it catered and the cooks were Mexicans....so I go out there to get my tacos dressed up in this thick moustache, pancho, and big sombrero. I can just imagine what they were thinking. THe best was watching Jay come in with his Dickies, wifebeater, and shirt buttoned at the top button. He made sure to make himself more presentable before getting his tacos. HA HA HA!!! Yeah, good times at the wedding shower. We were so full and so tired at the end. We made our way back to our home and just crashed for the rest of the night. It was the best thing ever to just sit in front of the TV and relax. AHHHHHHHHHH....I love it so much.

Well, that was my busy weekend. Tiring but fun. Hope you all had a great weekend too. Such is the life of Joe...

Yes means NO?
So, I've been seeing people on the street corners for the past week or so with signs saying "No to Prop 8" or "Yes to Prop 8" but I don't know if I should honk at them to support them or not. Why? Because this whole stupid Prop 8 made me all confused. Ok, so I KNOW that Prop 8 has to do with same-sex marriage, but I always get confused if a Yes vote means "yes" to same-sex marriage or if a yes vote means "no" to same-sex marriage, that's why I don't know whether to honk or not. But thanks to the good old internet I found out that Yes on Prop 8 means No, and No on Prop 8 means yes. Ahhh...so much better next time. So the next time I see people out there with the No on Prop 8 you'll hear me a-honkin' (yes, I just said a-honkin').

So last week, one of my co-workers comes up to me and straight out says "Joe, you don't work out anymore, do you?". WTH!!! Ok, ok....I haven't worked out in like freaking 6 months...and I know that I've slimmed down (which sounds, good but isn't because I've lost a LOT of muscle), but who says that? "You don't work out anymore, do you?" WHAT!?!?! Yeah, I really need to freaking start working out again. I've just been so busy/lazy with this whole. Moving in together --> proposing --> buying a house --> moving out of the apartment --> moving into the house thing. But since all that's finished...I'll find some time to work out. Hopefully I'll put on another 10 pounds or so by the end of the year.

Ok, so remember I blogged about my action figure display case? Well here's a picture of it:

How AWESOME is that?! First row is DC characters, the rest are all Marvel. 3rd row is the New Avengers shelf (above the empty shelf) and the last 3 shelves are X-Men related characters. YAHTZEE!!! Yes, I'm a nerd...and I don't care.

Ok, that is all for now. Have a great week everyone. Such is the life of Joe...

Meh
So I know you're not supposed to blog work and stuff but I can't help it. I like my new department and I really like what I do. I actually have people to talk to and interact with! But there's this one guy who sits next to me. He's always been quite and keeps to himself...until the past week. I really never sat in my desk until this past week because I never had a computer, but now that I sit there I notice these small things that bug me.

First, every once in a while I'll hear him laughing what he thinks is a silent laugh to himself and I'm sure he's reading something on the internet and stuff, which I don't care at all, but I think it's freaking hillarious when he just starts LoL'ing out of nowhere.

The thing that kinda is annoying is that last week he started to sing. At first it was just humming, then quiet singing, and now it's soft singing (not normal singing, but loud enough to hear him from 30 feet away). And it's all in Mandarin! HA HA HA! It's not bad when he's far away, but when I'm sitting at my desk right next to him it can be annoying! This just started a week ago. I think he just bought his first MP3 player because 2 weeks ago he was quiet, but last week he was humming/singing and I see he has headphones on. So it's like he's all excited that he's got an mp3 player now. Welcome to 2003! HA HA HA.

Ok, I know you guys don't get it and you'd have to be there to see how annoying it can get, but I do think it's more funny than annoying. Sometimes when he's sitting next to me and singing I'll do my "bite my lower lip and bob my head to the rhythm he's singing and pretend I'm into it too" kinda thing and he'll quiet down. HA! Pretty hilarious! I need to get video or something of it....but I'm sure I'd get fired if I tried that. BLAH!

So we finally converted the nursery/baby's room of our new house to our office. When we bought the house, one of the rooms was a nursery, complete with pink and white stripes throughout the whole room. Yeah, can't have that. So we painted it. Our first choice in color made the room look like a baby boys room. AHHHH!!! So we had to paint again and this time the color has a more green tint to the blue...very nice. We bought a desk and moved all the stuff into it. And my most favorite part is buying a display case for my action figures!!! YAHOO!!! I can fit all of them into one case, but I'm planning on getting a second one for my future purchases. It's so awesome. I just sit in front of it and stare sometimes. I just have to figure out how to arrange them. I have a couple X-Men shelves, a DC Shelf, and that's pretty much it. Everyone else is just randomly up there...but I think I'm going to make a New Avengers shelf.

Ok, that's my update. Hope you all have a great week! Such is the life of Joe...

Hello Again
So it's been a really really really long time since last I blogged...but it's because I haven't really had any time to do anything.

Hmmmm...what's new. OH YEAH! Cat and I looked, found, bought, moved in, and finally settled into our new house! HOORAY!!! We decided on the quaint Orange County city of Aliso Viejo since that's where we were living before and we really liked the area. I really love the area where it's at and it's a nice 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath "detached condo"...which means no connected walls! HOORAY! We love it so much. Thank you to all who helped us move: Gerard (Cat's cousin), Ryan (for mounting our TV to the wall), Kenny, Tommy, Ruth, Jon, and Flori. You made the move as quick and painless as could be!

So if anyone of you are in the area or driving by, feel free to give us a call and you can stop on by!

Congratulations to Joes and Karen!!! HOORAY! YOU GUYS ARE MARRIED!!! Cat and I had the honor of being their cord sponsors, so we got to sit up there near the front and see all the action! The wedding and reception was so nice. Los Coyotes Country Club in Buena Park was really really nice. Sure it was a little chilly, but the outside heaters and alcohol solved that problem! Plus everyone had fun with the photobooth and the dancing. We're so happy for the both of you guys! Hope you're having a great time in Maui! You can be our location scouts! Hooray!

Yeah, so I haven't really had time to blog at all because we were moving to our new place and getting all that paperwork and money and moving and everything was a real hassel. Plus I got moved to a new department at work and didn't have a computer to do anything until today (so like 2-3 weeks without a computer at work). Yeah, but everything is going good now. I love coming home and just sitting down and watching TV. Sure, it was the same thing I did at the apartment, but we have so much more room for EVERYTHING!!!

Ok, so I know I asked all of you for your help in the hunt for Deathstroke in the toy aisle...but now I need any one of you who has a Wal-Mart near them to help me find the "Marvel Legends - Ares Wave". They're Wal-Mart exclusives. Well, if you find them you can probaly make a profit. They sell for $10.00 at Wal-Mart buy for $20.00+ on eBay, so if you happen to be at Wal-Mart and see any, I would highly recommend buying them. And of course I'll take anything you don't want. I most especially want "Crossbones".

Ok, now that is it for now. Hopefully I'll keep blogging more. Sorry I haven't updated my WAYWT pics, but I don't have a pro account at Flickr and I'm at my limit on pics. Ehhh... Such is the life of Joe...

Wedding and Bachelor Party
What a great weekend I had! So much fun, so tiring though.

Friday I took off early and headed to Summit House in Fullerton for Mariel and Sol's wedding. It was an outdoor wedding during sunset and it was an awesome ceremony that combined Filipino and Cambodian traditions. Of course the reception was fun. Drunk people everywhere. Open bar is awesome. Sol's parents were so happy to be there and so happy for Sol. Sol's dad was just so proud and happy.

Highlight of the night was Cat's dress malfunction. First, she kept on spilling stuff all over it (she had planned on wearing it again) and finally, when I see her walking to the dance floor...I see a bare back. I think to myself "Cat's dress isn't bare back" and that's when I realized the zipper had split open, and only the tab on the top was keeping it together. HA HA HA! Luckily she had a change of clothes. Yeah, that dress was bad news from the start though. They had it made with a friend of a friend of a family friend or something like that...and it was terrible. Cat had to basically have it completely resewn b/c the hem looked like it wasn't finished!

Saturday, Cat took Jon and I to the airport for our flight to Vegas to meet up the guys for Joesan's bachelor party!!! YAHOO!!! Good time seeing all those guys. We got there and I could tell everyone had a good time the night before...because everyone looked so tired. HA HA HA! Went and watched the LA Kings vs. Colorado Avalance preseason game. I'm not a hockey fan, I tried to watch it on TV and it just didn't do it for me....but watching it live is AWESOME! I had so much fun watching the hits, seeing the fights, seeing all the shots on goal and stuff. Hockey is awesome!!! I probably won't watch it on TV, but if you have tickets to the game, I'll go! The rest of the night was so much fun. We just sat around in the room naming off the reasons why Joesan is so lucky to be getting married...that's all we did, honestly.

Yeah, but somehow I got really drunk. So drunk that I eventually got sick. I think it was the cigarette smoke and stuff, because it was just making me nauseated. We got back to the hotel room and I needed food (because I knew I was going to throw up in the morning and I hate throwing up without any food in my belly). I ordered a Pizza Hut pizza from room service but fell asleep on the bed. Tommy woke me up because my pizza was here and so I got up, paid the guy, got my pizza, and walked back to bed with it...and immediately fell asleep without even opening it! HA HA HA! Here's a pic courtesy of Tommy.

I threw up the next morning and was pretty tired and hung over the rest of the day.

The flight home was interesting too. There were these 2 drunk typical OC girls sitting in front of Jon and me. You know the type, blonde, annoying, calls Orange County "The OC" and not Orange County, calls each other 'bitch' or 'girlfriend'. Yeah, annoying. There was a younger blonde girl sitting in our row who was so annoyed with them. Mostly because the girls were annoying and also because I think it made her look bad. She had lawyer books and so she's obviously gonna be something, but the girls in front were the typical "marry a rich guy so I don't have to work". BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Ok, awesome weekend. Hopefully next weekend will be awesome too. Such is the life of Joe...
